My mother arrived at Mount Vale. Shortly before her 101st birthday, on 4th February, she had been very ill. She has improved since arriving. The staff have been very caring and supportive of my mother's needs. They gave her a marvellous Birthday. The children from the playschool sang her Happy
Birthday & they also organised balloons and cakes and many cards and flowers. She was overwhelmed!

This was an excellent care home for my father, for the last few days of his life. He was 96 and had mild dementia and by the time he got to the home, he was cheerful, but ready to go.
The staff were fantastic - discreet, caring, attentive and highly sympathetic. You could not ask for more.
The
care home itself is very clean and well maintained: it is clearly a well-managed property with staff who feel sufficiently rewarded to reflect kindness and compassion to the residents.

The staff are friendly and interact very positively with the Residents. Catering is very good

Very good experience. Always smiling helpful people around. The food was right for me but always a choice if needed. The activities kept me busy and happy mixing with other residents. The marking of options doesnt give justice to the care and attention in every way.

We were not told there was Building works The noise above my room for a week made it impossible to stay in my room. There is a very nice staff but they cannot do two things at once, shortage of staff. Buzzers take a long time to answer and tea or coffee are not always brought round at 10-11 o clock
or 3 pm. not enough staff Activities are not always available because shortage of staff.

We are so grateful to all the staff at Mount Vale for taking our learning disabled sister after she suffered trauma and was bed-bound after hospital visit that lasted 5 weeks.
She hadn't washed/showered had her hair done or got out of bed for 4 years.
After arriving at Mount Vale she has been
showered, dressed each day, and goes to the dining room to ear
We are delighted with the care she has received

The staff at Mount Vale are very caring but the home definitely has insufficient staff mainly because some of the residents with dementia on the the 1st floor need a lot of care and attention. I usually visit in an afternoon and it is often impossible to find help if my husband needs to be cleaned
or changed. I sometimes do it myself but at 87 years old I find it difficult and sometimes staff have to stay in the lounge "on watch" as residents can't be left safely. An extra member of staff would really help. Sometimes it is obvious my husband hasn't had a shave for 3 days. I am grateful for all that the staff do but considering the cost of care it would be nice if he had a more frequent shave and perhaps his pad could be checked now + again

My sister moved in just last week 2-7 2025 and the change in her is incredible - from day 1 the staff have been nothing but amazing - extremely friendly, couldn't do enough for us, very supportive - I went to visit her at the weekend, she's bedbound, in her last home she was always just dressed in a
nightie 24/7, she said with a smile on her face "Look what I'm wearing", pulled the quilt back and she was fully dressed, wonderful, we went to visit her today and for the 1st time in years she'd had a shower, was sat in her wheelchair waiting to go to the hairdressers. The family cannot thank the staff enough.

Mum has settled in really well. The care home staff were very empathetic from the first phone call, to looking round and settling mum into the home. The care and compassion they have shown for the whole family has been excellent throughout this process. Mum now has the space to move around freely
and she is always pleased to see and interact with the care home staff.

The care here is dedicated, professional and dynamic. The staff are motivated, energetic and aware of every patient's requirements. This is an impressive environment in many respects. The food is very good as is the standard of care. The fabric of the building is very sound and the decoration is
very good.
