My mother-in-law has been a resident in Alfriston Court Care Home for quite a while and we have seen the wonderful transformation the new owners have made. They have taken it from a good care home to an exceptional family home with elderly residents. This has been done so carefully and
considerately so the existing residents felt a gentle transition that they've been involved too. The love and care that is given by the owners and staff is amazing. Nothing is ever too much. If you're looking for a wonderful environment and loving care for an elderly resident for their last few years/months, then I thoroughly recommend this very special place.

Mum went to the home when her care needs could no longer be met at home. She has a lovely room with far-reaching views over the valley and onto the South Downs. She frequently commented on the peace and quiet of the home and that all the staff and carers were always so friendly. Sadly, mum passed
away in December after complications from a small fall, but not as a result of any lack of care or attention from the home. We were so pleased that she was able to spend her final 4 months in such a pleasant and caring environment.

Alfriston Court is a sparkling little gem, nestled in the Sussex countryside.
Beautifully furnished, with home-cooked food and dedicated, person-centred care from a wonderful team who I cannot rate highly enough.
The owners, Deborah and Will, the Home Manager Anita and the Accounts Manager
Zeynep, are an extremely caring bunch, who lead their team by example. They consistently prioritised my mother's well-being and best interests during the last 15 months of her very long life. Through their empathetic leadership Mum was able to remain in a familiar setting where she felt safe and received compassionate care until she passed peacefully aged 94.
Thank you Alfriston Court

We made the difficult decision to put my mother into a nursing home back in July. We chose Alfriston Court for its location, warmth of staff, facilities, standard of nursing care and cleanliness. We have been overwhelmed by the quality of the care my mum has received. The staff and management have
worked with us through her immense nursing requirements, her grief after losing her husband of 63 years and her mental health challenges. Mum now happily makes her way around the home, chatting with her friends and all the staff and feels safe and secure. There is a low staff turnover and lots of friendly, genuinely caring employees as well as the owners seen regularly who talk through any concerns or ensure everything is ok. I cannot recommend the home enough and we have been able to get on with our lives and enjoy being a daughter and granddaughter again knowing mum is happy, safe and cared for in beautiful surroundings.

Whilst away myself, I was delighted to hear from my wife that she was enjoying her recent stay on respite at Alfriston Court. The home is in exceptional surroundings, and she had a lovely, spacious room with a wonderful view. The staff were very good, having had a great deal of personal experience
both professionally and as a resident, she said it was refreshing to feel so well looked after and to see all the members of the team supporting one another. There was obviously good leadership involved, and this reflected on the resident focused philosophy of the home.

I have been a Alfriston Court Care Home since the 9th May 2025. During that time, I have been treated with kindness and consideration. The atmosphere amongst the residents is happy and friendly, and I am happy to confirm with their thoughts and wishes.
We have a weekly programme of talks and
activities, and I enjoy joining in. They include painting, keeping fit exercises, and each fortnight we have a pianist who comes to play and chat to us, and also a guitarist who comes occasionally.
A completely deaf housekeeper joined the home recently, so we are learning sign language. All the staff here are patient and friendly, and I am grateful and appreciate this.

I stayed at Alfriston Court because I was recovering after having a full knee replacement. Alfriston Court is a beautiful place and just the place to get some help and relaxation after a painful and demanding operation. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. If I was a resident,
I would like to do a lot of activities, perhaps armchair dancing, gardening and book club, trips to the local tea shops each week and visits to the theatre. I think it is so important to keep the mind stimulated.

No complaints. Made to feel at home welcome on her first day. Was very happy with the administration of medicine and heath care and I fully trust those who handle the medical and personal care.

Alfriston Court is just perfect, the views are amazing.
All the staff are kind and friendly and nothing is too much trouble, they have a good varied menu available which caters to all needs. They also give out a weekly plan of activities going on daily encouraging the residents to participate. They
have some great outdoor summer events where friends and family are welcomed.
Credit to the owners and everyone within the team.

My mother has been in Alfriston Court Care home for 9 months , having moved in on respite care she settled very quickly and made the decision to stay permanently . Mum is really happy in this home , she has a lovely room and has bought lots of her own furniture with her . The care is excellent and
the staff look after her every need and are especially helpful with her medical needs . Mum loves the food, loves the activities which have really broadened her approach to life and often says the other residents and the staff are like a family to her. Mum is constantly telling me how lucky we were to find a place in this care home and it is so reassuring to me and my sister to know we don't need to worry about her wellbeing .

is set in a beautiful location overlooking the South Downs and is such a lovely peaceful place.

From the first interaction with the home to the last the owners, management, nursing staff and every single member of staff has been a pleasure and the service they provided has been exemplary and without fault. My mum absolutely loved the home, her room was beautiful with a stunning view of the
Southdowns and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. As a family we could not fault Alfriston Court Care Home and would recommend anyone looking for ware home care to visit without delay. You won't find anything better.

My mum in law resided at Alfriston Court for 5 months until she sadly passed away a couple of days ago.
Making the move to residential care was a difficult decision for mum & us. However she settled into this beautiful home in just a few days.
Building- beautiful, picturesque, well maintained,
fabulous gardens
Room- large, tastefully decorated & furnished. Comfortable, warm with en suite basin & toilet. (Would benefit from having a shower added)
Communal areas - lounge beautifully decorated & furnished. Always a pot of hot coffee or tea & biscuits available
Dining area/resident's lounge - renovated during mum's stay. Very welcoming spaces with fabulous views over the gardens & downs.
Food- was good but could do with some improvement. Mum enjoyed it though. Especially the deserts!
Last but certainly not least, staff- entirely exceptional!! Mum felt safe, cared for & built fabulous relationships with staff at all levels. The care she received in her final hours was exemplary!
