View full details of Barchester Scarborough Hall Care HomeMum moved to Scarborough Hall following a difficult few months in hospital and a nursing home following a fall. During that time she suffered terribly from anxiety and confusion. She moved to Scarborough Hall in October and what a difference! I cant believe how quickly she settled and how happy and content she is in her new home. I can only put this down to the treatment and care she is receiving here. My experience of all staff has been very supportive attentive and frendly and I am confident that Mum's medical and mental health needs are being met. And the food is great too!! Thank you.
I try to see my husband twice a week with my granddaughter, and my son sees his dad at least once a week, and we always find him fine, he's happy to see us but doesn't fuss when we leave, so I know he's happy and not fretting about coming home. The staff are always ready to have a chat about him.
I was very welcomed as I arrival with my unlce to visit my other uncle who is a resident. The home is very clean and well set out, wuth lovel decor. The rooms are nice and very warm and tidy. It was no trouble to ask any questions and the staff are very friendly.
Staff very helpful. And you can have a joke with them too . You ask a question and do their best to answer or go and find it out. And all the staff love it when I bring my dog in. And even other residents live to see him
Always excellent. Upkeep, all staff etc. No faults or suggestions for change to put forward. Hope all staff receive an excellent recognition of their input they deserve.
Staff friendly and provide the peaceful atmosphere. Residents have their own room which is a good size, with en-suite shower. Outside there is a walk around garden leading from the conservatory and places to sit and chat. The dining area was clean and there was a good selection on the menu's
My Dad has been a resident at Scarborough Hall for just over 3 years now. He settled well and has been very happy. Staff are friendly, efficient and caring. The home has a very good activities team and Dad has been involved in many events and outings. The home have also kindly invited family to join Dad for special occasions including meals and a party for his 100th birthday. Facilities are good and the home is well appointed. Families of residents are kept well informed with regular emails and updates in addition to an annual review of the residents care. Weekly activities programme is also sent to families with open invites to join loved ones for events.
My husband had a good stay at Scarborough Hall. Although he was only on respite for a few days, the staff were very kind, friendly and caring. The food was lovely and the room was very pleasant and clean. The facilities in the room were accessible with help due to his lack of mobility the carers were happy to help.
As always, when visiting my aunt, the staff are helpful and welcoming, the home, in general, is clean and comfortable and my aunt's room is always very tidy and welcoming. If I ever have a question it is answered straight away. My aunt is very happy which is my main concern.
Friendly, kind staff, take great care of all residents and always welcome visitors with coffee and cake. We really appreciate all the wonderful things you do. Thank you.
Everytime I go the staff are very friendly and clean they cannot do enough for everybody. The meals are good as well. It is also clean and tidy as well. Look after the people who need help drinks are also in the telly room. Thank you.
Had a very good welcome and the help from the staff was superb. I was delighted to see how well the home upgrades have been carried out. Everything looks comfortable and the home is kept clean and warm. Gives me great comfort to know that my sister is getting so well looked after.
Never thought I'd like it but I'm content and I'm stress-free, I've not felt like this in ages. I'm happy.
A lovely, quiet place. Lovely and friendly. Staff are really friendly and caring.
My mum has lived at Barchester Scarborough Hall Care Home for six months, she has settled well. Mum is well cared for, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They go above and beyond. The home is warm, cosy and clean. Thank you for everything you do. You are stars in sometimes difficult circumstances.
Scarborough Hall is my dad’s first choice in respite care. Since January he has been in and out a few times. He’s due to go back in again soon and it’s a huge weight lifted knowing he’s safe. He’s always so happy when he returns. The Managers are always visible around the home, they are always up on the dementia floors helping out. Which is lovely to see. You don’t get that in many homes. My dad is looking forward to his return. Thank you all at Scarborough Hall.
My husband has been a resident for 12 months, his dementia has accelerated in this time. 1. Residents spend most days sitting in the dining room dozing - no stimulation provided. 2. There are some excellent staff and some poor ones. Often they are very short of staff. 3. The manager is not there every day and no deputy, both usually in the office when present, not visible to staff and residents so unaware of what's happening. 4. Laundry/loss of clothes/damage to clothes. Careless mayhem. Disaster.
My sister has had twelve good years at Barchester Scarborough Hall. She has suffered a lot in her life, at Scarborough Hall she is at home and safe. Her room is very comfortable, shelves put up for new family photos and her mug collection. I sleep at night because my sister is safe!
I've found Scarborough Hall a very good nursing home with excellent staff and excellent facilities.
