My 98 year old mother was a self funding resident at Beccles care home from June 23 to January 25 where she passed away. Amanda and her staff were excellent in the care and consideration they gave her as well as keeping me updated on her health welfare. When her funds ran in out in April 24 Black
Swan continued their excellent care despite there being no funds for it and understood my circumsatnces allowing arrears to accumulate for 9 months until the sale of her property was completed. Thier Norwich office were excellent in dealing with the arrears and shortfall of funds when finalising the the money owed to them. In this day and age of bad press and publicity on Care Homes I would highly recommend Black Swan to be your first choice when considering a Care Home for yourself or a relative.

My husband was admitted in April due to Alzheimer's disease. We as a family feel so grateful to Amanda and all the staff who have persevered with some challenging behaviours with the utmost kindness and respect. I cannot praise them highly enough and they have been very supportive.
The place is
homely, has a warm ambiance with laughter and entertainment. I was surprised to learn that they even had therapy donkeys visiting. Not to mention the delicious home cooked food.
Even though I am slowly and insidiously losing my dear husband, I am at peace and confident that his every needs are met and will be until the end.

My father has Alzheimer's Disease and was in two other care settings before coming here, and neither managed to meet his needs - in fact, one even described him as a "nuisance," which was deeply upsetting and inappropriate for a place claiming dementia expertise. We were at a total loss and my
mother was also becoming very ill from the stress.
From the moment Dad moved into Beccles, the manager and staff showed compassion, understanding, and genuine care. They treat him with dignity and patience, taking the time to get to know his personality rather than just his condition. The support is excellent. The communication with families is also excellent, and it's clear that everyone there truly wants the best for the residents. (There are always lovely activities happening when I visit.)
It has been such a huge relief to know he's finally in capable, caring hands. I can't thank the team at Beccles Care Home enough for giving my dad the quality of life and respect he deserves

My mum came to Beccles Care Home in Nov 24. Honestly it's a hotel and she has dementia and she believes this as well. Cant ask far nicer loving people who 24/7 care for everyone. Even invited for Christmas Lunch. Couldn't ask for more thank you.

From the first moment I stepped inside Beccles Care Home I immediately felt the warm, friendly and homely atmosphere, and knew that it would be perfect home for my husband. Since he moved in five weeks ago, his care has been delivered consistently with kindness, respect and dignity by every single
member of the team.
We particularly love the happy interaction between staff, resident and visitors in the lounge, along with fun activities and entertainment; the delicious home cooked meals and teatime treats; the lovely bright and modern spotlessly clean surroundings and facilities; the laundering of personal clothing which is carried out with care and diligence.
All in all, the staff go the extra mile to ensure that the residents are happy, safe and well cared for and, along with the relatives, are treated like part of a big family. We couldn't ask for more!

The staff treats my great-grandad very well, he is happy where he is and it gave him his life back. The manager is absolutely lovely, he loves her. He is noticeably happier being in the home, even making friends which is much better. The activities they hold keep him active and lively. Visits are
easy and smooth-running, the food is good as well as the drinks offered. The rooms are safe and secure, also offering the residents freedom and multiple options. Couldn't ask for a better home for him to be in.

The home, the home manager and all staff are amazing. They are always professional and understanding of all the residents' needs. I have seen them offer reassurance and comfort to those who are anxious and confused, working with smiles on their faces and it is infectious!
The home smells nice and
there are always fresh flowers spread around.
I have enjoyed lunch on several occasions, which there is always a variety and tastes great.
I have always believed that a team is led from the front and the home manager is a motivational leader and it shows in her team. Thank you for all your hard work and the care you provide.

The staff all seem to care about the residents and happy in what they do. The ratio of staff to residents is very good and the place does not smell of "pee". There seems to be some activity nearly every day but I do not visit every day. Overall, my partner seems very well cared for and happy.

My brother has been a resident for over six months now. In this time, he has settled very well and has received superb care, kindness and support from all the staff.

My friend moved into Beccles Care Home in August 2023. What a wonderful home it is! The Manager who was appointed late last year and the team she leads are wonderful. They are so caring and kind, they go above and beyond to ensure the residents are well looked after and happy. I always feel welcome
and have enjoyed lots of delicious cakes on my visits.

My Mother-in-law moved into Beccles Care home in December 2023 and from the first day there she was treated with kindness and respect. She is very happy in the home and has become more chatty since being there. The staff are lovely and are always happy to chat with her and give us an update. The
manager has been particularly helpful in settling Mum in and always makes time to talk to us and answer our questions.
Mum is always kept clean and tidy and has her hair done regularly. She enjoys the food and there is always a good choice. Her room is bright and attractively furnished and is always spotless. Communication with the home is regular and we often receive photos of Mum taking part in activities. We are happy with all aspects of the home.

My husband has been a resident in Beccles Care Home since May 2023. As his wife and previous career, I have been pleased with the level of care given to him, the respect and understanding he has received and the way in which the staff have maintained a generally good well-being for him all round.
Also, I have been welcomed at the home as often as I like (without the strict hours) and have been shown a great deal of respect, also of empathy and ongoing kindness, from all members of staff. They are very, very caring. Thank you.

Staff welcomed Mum to the home at the end of November, but managed to arrange a birthday party for her in early December. They were very accommodating of family members joining Mum on this day, this helped Mum settle into her new home. Staff in all roles have been very friendly around the building,
as have the other residents, many of whom have chatted to Mum.

I would like to say how pleased I am with the care my mum receives at Beccles Care Home. This has been her third respite stay and the staff are so friendly and kind. The new manager has natural warmth and kindness, she exudes capability and professionalism and I feel at ease knowing Mum is in her
overall care. I love my mum very much, but respite breaks are needed to enable me to care for her at home. If this ever changes and I am no longer able to do so, I would like her to be in the team at Beccles Care Home's care.

The manager and staff are all very conscientious in striving to maintain an excellent standard of care to all residents and treat them all with the utmost dignity. The food is nutritious, using fresh ingredients and is of a good standard. The entertainment is fun and helps stimulate each and every

My mum-in-law moved into Beccles Care Home in March. We cannot recommend this home highly enough. The staff are wonderful and so caring. My mum in laws room has been completely redecorated to a very high standard with lovely furniture. They have plenty of activities going on with lots of things for
residents to enjoy. The food is also amazing. 10/10.

Having read online the CQC rating of the care home (with its previous owner) I was pleasantly surprised as to what Black Swan had done with their refurbishment. The home feels very comfortable and homely, it's not too big and being on one level, it's like being in a large bungalow. The staff are
very welcoming and accommodating. I think my wife will be happy with them.
