I am a member of the clergy team in Bury St. Edmunds and several clergy from the Diocese of East Anglia, TR, MG, DH, have been residents at the Montana Care Home at Great Barton, Bury St. Edmunds. I have visited the care home on many occasions throughout the year, and I have always been super impressed at the quality of care, the cleanliness, the absence of offensive odour, the warmth of the staff and the commitment to the high standard as shared by the whole staff team. The staff training certificates on display, the availability of staff and staff the use of digital technology are evidence to me of investment by management and on-going professional development which gives me real assurance of striving towards best practices at the care home. I have felt re-assured of safeguarding and security at reception (signing in) and cameras in the corridors and identified safeguarding champion names and photos available for reporting any concerns I may have. Demonstrating excellent leadership.
Mum has been welcomed so kindly to Montana. She settled in really quickly and immediately felt safe and looked after. Anything that needed to be clarified or sorted out has been dealt with promptly and the family are very happy that Mum is in such a friendly and caring place. We have been provided with all the information on medical and other matters which you want as a family, and this has given us confidence that Montana sees all of their residents as individuals and tailors their care accordingly.
My father has now been in Montana for a year and a half the staff have all been great and accommodating especially as Dad's care needs have increased in the last few months as his health and walking have worsened.
Very happy and contented. Pleasant day outings are provided for residents at seaside resorts and local restaurants. Nice companions are always close by. Staff attentive and caring towards one's health.
My mother had been living at Montana Care Home for over three years. The care she receives is of a high standard, generally. The staff respond quickly to my mother's changing needs. Communication between staff and family is very good. They are receptive to any concerns we may have about our mother's needs. We particularly appreciated the trouble that Montana took to take everyone to a nearby pub for a Christmas meal. Our mother really enjoyed that despite her disability and the fact that she had to be hoisted into her wheelchair. The sisters create a lively and inclusive community with a variety of activities for residents to enjoy. I would be very happy to recommend this care home.
Montana is a special place and the sisters and other support staff show such great care for the residents. Each resident is cared for on an individual and personal level, tailored to their own needs and preferences.
I have been visiting a friend who is a resident at Montana Care Home for most of 2024. The quality of the care is I have to say most excellent, nothing is too much for the Sisters who go above and beyond the duties of looking after the residents in their care. There is I find a wonderful atmosphere of love and caring, also catering staff and I have to say all staff I have been in contact with are positive lovely people. I myself if I ever needed care would not hesitate to apply.
A dear friend of mine, who is a resident at Montana House, recently required a particular kind of support. This was given by the Montana House Care Manager in a caring and compassionate manner thus ensuring the current and future happiness of my friend.
