Since moving into Hazeldell Mum has changed from a lonely unhappy woman battling dementia to a woman with new friends, a much happier outlook and instead of being lost and confused she is now living with dementia. She receives great care , great stimulation from the activities and a much better
quality of life than she was experiencing before. Hazeldell is spotlessly clean and the staff are great but more than that it is such a happy place and for my mum in the twilight of her life it is so important for her children and grandchildren to see her safe and happy

My sisters and I were adamant that our mother would not go into a care home, however her dementia and frailty took that decision away from us.
Mum first went into Hazeldell for two weeks respite, but when it was clear that she would need 24 hour care going forward, it was an easy decision to make
it her permanent home. We have seen our lonely, confused and reserved mother absolutely blossom into a person we thought we had lost. She is always in company, participates in daily activities and we see her laughing and having fun.
I enjoy visits, joining in with activities and games and see first hand the work that is done to care and give each resident dignity and respect.
The management are very hands on and approachable. The care staff are helpful and knowledgeable. The cleaning team keep everything spotless.
There is a family feel to the home, I have witnessed the staff being there and helping even in their own time.
I am so glad my Mum is there safe, happy and well looked after.

I honestly can't thank everyone at Hazeldell Care Home enough for the love and care they've shown my nanna. From the moment she arrived, she's been treated with such kindness, dignity, and genuine warmth that it's made a difficult transition so much easier for our whole family.
The staff go above
and beyond every single day, not just meeting her needs, but really taking the time to get to know her as a person. They always greet her (and us!) with smiles, and it's so reassuring to see how comfortable and happy she is in their care.
The home itself is always spotless, welcoming, and full of life. There are activities, laughter, and a real sense of community that makes it feel like a true home rather than just a care facility.
As a granddaughter, it means everything to know she is safe, respected, and genuinely cared for. I couldn't have hoped for a better place for her. Hazeldell is truly special, and I'm endlessly grateful to every member of the team.

Since coming to Hazeldell, Mum has shown a remarkable improvement. She's become more carefree, social, and her usual happy, chatty, and humorous self that had been overshadowed over the past year by falls, malnutrition, Alzheimer's, and the daily stresses at home that left her withdrawn and
confused. This positive change has been a huge relief for our family, and we credit it to the exceptional care, support, and engagement she receives from the staff and fellow residents at Hazeldell, where nothing is too much trouble and there is always a friendly face to turn to.

Hazel dell is a lovely caring place to be. My foster mum moved here last year very poorly but the care she has received from everyone at the home has helped her to settle and recover very well. She is now very happy, safe and looked after very well. The staff are also very supportive and helpful
towards me to which has been a great help.
The home is always clean and tidy. The residents always seem happy. The staff are all amazing and very caring. I would definitely recommend this home if you are looking for somewhere to move a loved one too!

My Nan has settled in beautifully at this home, the staff have welcomed her and brought her out of her shell with all the wonderful activities they have. It's a very comfortable environment and feels very cosy, super satisfied with all the staff and the care the provide.

So grateful for the care and support for my mum during two weeks of respite care. My mum gained her strength back and was able to return to her home. Staff clearly put the residents welfare and happiness at the centre of their work, and the teamwork to achieve that is evident. Thank you all.

My mum was at Hazeldell care home for five months. The manager made my husband and myself very welcome when we looked around I knew it would be perfect for my mum and it was. The home is clean and tidy and the food, activities and entertainment is excellent. All of the staff are absolutely fantastic
and go beyond their jobs to look after the residents well. My mum really thrived and couldn't have been looked after better. Also excellent support was given at a very difficult time which meant a lot. I would definitely recommend this care home. Thank you to you all.

My mum had a stay at Hazeldell for respite care. The decision to send mum to Hazeldell came at a very stressful time for our family but was made easier by the incredibly friendly and helpful staff who showed us around and explained much of the technicalities of the stay. There was never a question
they couldn't answer for us.
Mum found the transition to care very difficult and it was a real worry for the family. However, the staff at Hazeldell were so very caring and always kept us well informed as to how mum was getting on. Nothing was too much trouble for us.
While mum was there she was actively encouraged to engage in activities which were always available. The singers were a particular favorite of mum's. The food was always good.
I would thoroughly recommend Hazeldell as a lovely place if anyone was thinking of a home for a loved one.

My brother-in- law has been a resident of Hazeldell for 2.5 years. I have a high regard for the entire team at Hazeldell, and I am speaking as a someone with high expectations and ex-manager of a home for people with dementia. I think the Team often goes above and beyond to give people with
dementia a sense of security, self-agency and purpose. My brother-in-law rather surprisingly he felt at home there very quickly after his admission and his quality of life is much improved. The range of activities provided, and support to engage in those activities, is impressive. Communication with family is impressive too.
The staff of Hazeldell make visitors and residents feel comfortable and included. I always find them helpful and in good cheer.

Walking into this care home instantly feels you the warmth you'd expect the residents to get. It feels like home. Mum is cared for, and I mean all her needs are met. Medication, food, all health general daily care. All updates are fed back to us as required. The staff are amazing. The manager goes
above and beyond what is expected of her duties to help. We couldn't ask for better for mum

The home has daily activities for the residents, and have singers/entertainment on a regular basis.
The food is first class with multiple
choices everyday.

My mother moved into Hazeldell in October 2024, and I can honestly say that she loves living there. Having previously lived on her own for a number of years, it was a major change for her, but she now refers to Hazeldell as her home.
There is a very nice feel to Hazeldell - it is clean and tidy,
with many facilities - and all the staff that I have encountered there, over many months, have been very friendly and polite, coming across as very caring individuals. The management team are great, and are always willing to accommodate requests in whatever way possible.
There are many daily activities - far too many to list - which the residents are free to join in with (or not), as they please.
Overall, I would have to say that Hazeldell is excellent.

My mother has been at Hazeldell since November 2024. I have not been able to fault anything so far.
The home offers person centred care, and maintain independence where ever possible. I have not had any cause for concern since Mum has been a resident.
The care staff and managers alike are always
available and take an interest in both the residents and relatives. I am always kept up to date with any changes in Mums care needs.
There is a vast array of activities on offer but never forced on the resident's. The home is well decorated and the rooms are nice and comfortable. The meal choices are displayed on a daily basis with a variety of dishes on offer. Tea and coffees are always available.

I cannot rate Hazeldell enough, I managed to place both my in laws with the amazing team, social services wanted them split up as their care needs were very different, my father in law needing nursing home care. I am a registered Nurse and own my own Domiciliary Care company so I knew exactly what I
was looking for, I would recommend Hazeldell 100% to place a loved one there. We were always kept updated, my husband lost both his parents between September and December, the end of life care was impeccable thank you to your amazing team.

My Stepdad was in this care home for 2 years, he went straight there from hospital so we couldn't choose where he went. Some of the staff were lovely and caring however a few were quite abrupt to him, especially a member of staff who often gave him his medication as she spoke very sharply to him.
On the night my stepdad died we were told as we left the manager would call me tomorrow with her condolences - but none of the staff made any contact with us to show their condolences at all.
When we later looked through all of the boxes they had boxed up his belongings in for us, we were so upset to find that his very expensive antique clock was missing, we have emailed the manager regarding this, but she said nobody knows where this it. This has been a very upsetting experience for the family as the clock has been in our family for many years and is sentimental to us.
