View Full Details of Chirk CourtI have found the service to be working well. The dedicated and friendly staff are always happy to listen to suggestions to improve the detail of their work. Over time I will be able to make more thorough observations. For now, everything is working well and the person I'm writing on behalf of is being very well-welcomed and assisted in the her new world.
I have always found the staff friendly and very helpful and professional.
I had a lovely visit with my dad today. The weather was beautiful so we took him down to the sensory garden in his wheelchair. It is such a fabulous space, very accessible and seating areas to stop and chat. He thoroughly enjoyed the sun on his back, listening to the birds and enjoying the planting. What a wonderful facility for the residents, well done to all involved.
Being told my father needed care when leaving hospital I found myself in unfamiliar territory. After contact with Chirch Court and meeting some of the staff, whilst viewing there was never any question, I wanted my father to live there. Their help and support was invaluable making my father's transition from hospital seamless. The acommodation is bright and airy with a modern but homely feel. Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Meal prepared and cooked on site. The selection is excellent. There is even home made cake and drinking facilities in the orangery where visitors can sit with family members if they wish. The well laid out gardens also provide a place to sit and enjoy good weather. A different daily activity encourages my father to meet with other residents, however if he chooses he can stay in his room or the lounge. This encourages him to socialise and help his mental stimulation. My father's every need is catered for with compassion. Nothing is too much trouble. The standard of care is second to none. Time is taken to ensure my father's comfort. As a daughter wanting the best for her father I could not ask for more. Knowing he is receiving such a high standard of care in every way and that he is comfortable and happy is priceless.
Went to visit my mother for Mother's day celebrations. The afternoon was excellent. Thank you very much.
The Manager and catering staff have put on a wonderful Mothers Day afternoon tea for mums and families. Thank you very much.
My husband seems very settled at the home, all the staff are kind and supportive to both of us and our extended family. The home is very welcoming and very well kept, especially the outside area.
Dad has recently moved here, and since his move 6 weeks ago, I have been very happy with the quality of care, the friendly attentiveness of the whole team and the ethos of the place. My siblings have commented on how well cared for Dad has appeared in recent weeks. Dad has consistently been in pretty good spirits and quick to settle into such a welcoming environment, even though he is a creature of habit! We had a very pleasant hour out in a corner of the garden, which is a bit of a sun-trap last Sunday!
The unit itself is modern, spotlessly clean and well designed to help someone with dementia. My father-in-law's room is lovely with an excellent en suite bathroom. The staff are superb. They are well trained, caring and attentive. They provide excellent care for my father-in-law. I'm very impressed and grateful.
Caring, friendly, dedicated and professional staff. Attention to detail and total prioritisation of resident's care & wellbeing. The environment within the home is gorgeous. Rooms homely, always clean. It is simply just how you would wish it to be.
The overall experience is a positive one. The only niggle is having to ask for a hand towel for my mothers bathroom. Whoever cleans the bathroom takes out the old towels but then doesn't replace them with fresh ones. Its basic stuff. I think Chirk Court has a really nice atmosphere. The staff are really nice and helpful. I would heartily recommend Chirk Court. The home offers good value for money despite the recent increase.
Everything seems to be going very well, a little more exervise would be very good to gett her off the chair and stand and do some leg exercise as she sit down all day which can not be good.
The garden at Chirk Court is a work in progress. The manager and activities coordinator have been working hard to get it to its current state, encouraging residents to take part, including me. Together with many onlookers who also like to be included as non-practical participants. The work in progress is the planting of a variety of trees in different areas. The manager has worked diligently to procure funding from other bodies by arranging a range of activities both indoor and outdoor within the local and home communities.
Mum is happy in the home, she enjoys the company and the entertainment and activities. The staff always welcome the family on visits and share information on what my mum's been doing during the week.
Garden is beautiful. Lots of work done past five months.
Words can't do justice to how lovely this home and staff are. It was such a homely atmosphere to visit my mother in law and all the staff from the front desk to the carers, really could not be any better. The facilities were always clean and tidy. We could even bring out dogs in to see my mother in law which really made her day. This place is really not your typical care home and your family members could not be in a better place.
My mother has been a resident of Dyffryn, Chirk Court, for 14 months. She is very well looked after. Her care is excellent and she appears to be very happy. The staff are lovely, attentive and dedicated to their job and to the residents. Importantly, the environment is hygienic and clean: it is like stepping into a nicely furnished hotel and smells fresh unlike what is often experienced in old people's residences! There is a good mix of entertainment which is held in the impressive orangery. Resident rooms are sizeable as is the comfortable lounge and open kitchen/dining area.
Mum has been here 1 year. We are very happy with her care.
Food good. Staff very good. Room ok.
Lovely room, staff.
