I visit my client each week.not always on the same days..so I do get an overall view of the comings and going of different days...In my employment I frequently visit various care homes in the local area..and I can honestly state that Across the Bay is one of the best. It's quiet and restful..no
bells and door alarms constantly ringing and slamming doors..unlike most of the care homes I visit. The staff are calm and serene..they interact in a sensitive respectful manner with residents..they handle situations in a professional manner at all times with kindness and patience. The lounges are spacious but homely..clean..smells fresh..and the views from the lounges are absolutely stunning.

Mum has been a resident for nearly three years now and I can honestly say we are delighted Across the Bay became her home. The staff and management are so caring and professional, Mum is totally settled and safe in their care. There is a lovely calm atmosphere within the home and when family visit
we are always made welcome. The routines and management are very efficient and I am always made aware of how Mum is doing. I can't praise Across the Bay enough for what they do for their residents and their families.

Excellent. 5***** service. Wonderful caring staff who all go the extra mile. Home from home. Lots of activities, light shows, therapy dogs, music - all of which are provided with no obligations so residents can opt in or out according to their preferences. Fantastic location. Nothing but praise

I would heartily recommend Across the Bay Care Home. Needing temporary accommodation following a cancer diagnosis, my brother spent two months there in May and June 2025. Although my brother's health situation was not ideal, he was made extremely welcome and the manager and deputy manager went above
and beyond to help him through a tough diagnosis. Their caring attitude was outstanding and despite knowing that he was a temporary resident, they treated him with the utmost care. They made his move to a care home at the other end of the country smooth and straightforward and were highly conscientious in pursuing the follow on of social and medical paperwork. The home itself is on the seafront with magnificent views and is pleasant, clean and calm. But the most outstanding feature of Across the Bay is the professionalism and personal help which the manager and the deputy manager provide.

My dad has been a resident for a number of years and as a family we have to say the care has been exceptional . The staff are well qualified, friendly and respectful. The care home treats not only my dad but the whole family as part of the across the bays family . We could not wish for a better
place for my dad to be .

Staff are very caring and compassionate. food is fresh and wholesome. The environment and ambience is friendly and welcoming and relaxed. It is a home from home.
Mum likens it to a 4-star hotel with great views and helpful staff.

The staff are very friendly, patient and caring not only to the residents but to their visiting family too. From my experience I wouldn't hesitate to recommend as a place for the elderly, I am very happy with the level of care my relative is receiving.
