The staff here are absolutely amazing.. they go above and beyond..
They supported my Nan and grandad to the best they could.
We sadly lost both of them in the past 3 months
But I couldn't fault the way in which they were looked after
My Nan and grandad loved seeing them come in and the staff
always made them laugh ..
It's not just a job for them as they truly cared and they made this very clear..
Thank you William wood house you truly are amazing

As a resident, my wife has been in William Wood House since June 2022. The care and attention she has received from the staff, have been excellent. The strain on my and my wife's life has been greatly reduced, knowing that she is being cared for by a great team.

I regularly get the impression that the primary focus is about money and not care at all. The staff at WWH house come and go (apart from those who have nowhere else to go). Just this year alone, my 89-year-old mother had an oven that broke and waited over a month for a replacement. We reported
a huge stain on the bathroom ceiling to which they stated it was a leak that had been fixed but never any offer to make good.
As Power of Attorney, all invoices should come through me but they still disregard this instruction (Orwell finance) and cause unnecessary upset to an 89-year-old lady.
I always get the impression they do not care at all.

If I were to score this care home, it would be 1 out of 10. Poor at best with the care and attention missing.

My late mother in law lived at William Wood House for over 3 years. They were extremely happy years for her and us as a family. The staff worked hard to give her respect, dignity and involvement with her care at all times. They also involved us in their decision making when needed. She felt safe and
comfortable throughout her tenure until she passed away just before Christmas 2018. Staff were very supportive to my husband and me afterwards. William Wood House is a great residential home where people are treated as individuals and their needs are met accordingly. We would have no hesitation in recommending it to other families as a place of well being for their loved ones.

I have lived here for the past year and can honestly say I am settled and I am very happy.
I am pleased to call this my home.
The care I get is second to none in every section and by everyone.

Food is competent, would be good to have fish occasionally. I suggest it may be that fish is too expensive, I'm thinking of dried haddock steamed with plenty of butter.
I have been here for 3 years plus and have never attempted to run away.
Please note insufficient main staff have to rush to get
to who is next on their list.
