My son has been in a number of different settings over the past few years and this is by far the best one. The facilities are very good, but the best part is the staff, who are excellent. My son has complex physical as well as challenging mental health needs, and the staff have dealt with these
extremely well. The biggest compliment I could give is that he is the happiest he has been for a very long time.

Our son is a resident at Lester Court, in recent years he has struggled with health issues, including mental health problems. He can be very hard to motivate and difficult at times. He needs to be constantly motivated to complete everyday jobs i.e showering/cleaning etc. He needs to e found and
supported with new activities that interest him. The staff at Lester Court try their best to keep him busy and find him new things to do. While doing this they are trying to make him more independent.

My daughter has been here since the home was opened, she is happy with the facilities and staffing and has settled in quite well. My concerns would be with regard to the amount of active rehabilitation/activities offered and the consistency in approach by all staff. More active and detailed
programme needs to be applied and monitored. It is not enough to say that something has been offered or that may daughter only has to ask. Skilled intervention work is what is required, by professional staff with mental health training.
