My sister really needed some respite. 2 weeks at Cavell Court has made a huge difference to her wellbeing and demeanour. Staff were absolutely wonderful. Judy really enjoyed the wonderful meals.

I visited several Care Homes before visiting Cavell. Sam met me on my visit, showed me around, explained things and answered my many questions. I already knew because it felt right. Like walking into someone's home and feeling so welcome. Cavell staff gave us the chance to become a family again and
not just dad's carer's. They where kind, thoughtful, patient, calm, kind and dad felt loved. He was never lonley. He was entertained. He made new friends. He loved the food and we often got him downstairs to the cafe', where there was always cake! My dad was treated with respect and although he had his moments of frustration the staff understood and were always very forgiving. Cavell always kept me informed of things I needed to know and, at the end of dad's life, they were so supportive of me and my mum.
Cavell is such a special place. The staff are very special people too. Dad would want me to mention Brandon, Tara and Cheryl. Thank you Cavell, for everything. X

Everyone was very friendly especially Pedro and Sam who we mainly dealt with. The carers were helpful and the setting nice. The coffee shop setting was really nice, would benefit from a few more higher backed chairs as when we went down there were lots of short chairs but I couldnt get comfy in.
Parking was a bit limited for visitors but was very handy having a shop over the road.

The moment I came through the doors at Cavell Court I was treated with care and respect. The customer care manager has gone above and beyond to make my respite stay as smooth as possible. Every member of staff is friendly and will help with anything. I would highly recommend Cavell Court to anybody
that needed care or respite.

My Uncle has moved to Cavell Court and I cannot thank the staff enough for their support with the transition.
Throughout Cavell Court all staff are friendly and courteous and have really made the effort to get to know my Uncle on an individual level.
The environment feels homely but also
practical so staff can work and residents can move about with ease.
It is also lovely to have the coffee shop and lounge to go to when we visit to spend time together.
I feel reassured that any issues or changes in care are communicated to me appropriately.

I feel with everyone involved my wife's condition and health have improved. A nice relaxed place. Thank you all.

My relative has been at Cavell Court for almost three years and during that time I have not had cause to complain about her care. Her beautiful room and ensuite is always very clean and she has the luxury of patio doors onto an outside seating area.
The carers, housekeepers, receptionist and
other admin staff are always very friendly, respectful and welcoming and eager to answer any queries I may have, and Barbara has a good relationship with the carers who look after her daily needs.
The facilities at Cavell Court are extremely good and Barbara enjoys having her hair done. She always looks lovely when I visit her.
The staff are very good with communications and I always get a telephone call to keep me updated on doctors'/dentists' visits etc., or any other issues I need to be made aware of. Barbara chooses not to join in with activities but there always seems plenty going on.
No complaints at all.

I have lived here for five and a half years. I have enjoyed meeting new residents and making new friends and the staff have always been kind and considerate and have made this feel like home. I eat well and can always have an alternative to the menu if its something I don't fancy. If I have a
problem that needs medical attention a nurse or doctor will be called so I get the right treatment when I need it. In all, I am very happy living here.

Dad was originally in 2 care homes, which were awful. He moved to Cavell Court, and the difference was massive. We were immediately impressed by the care, consideration and respect given to him from all staff. It was a relief knowing he was being cared for in the best possible way. Our family were
always welcomed, and the staff went the extra mile, such as for birthday celebrations and Valentine's Day. When Dad sadly passed, the acts of kindness shown by all the staff gave us great comfort.

My husband became a resident last week in March. I am pleased with the contact I have with his carers and team leaders on his floor. This keeps me informed on anything that happens with him, regularly updated on how he is doing, settling in, etc. I feel I can speak to them about anything that is
worrying me, or just have a general chat.

We made the tough decision to admit my dad who had dementia. Right from the initial meeting to discuss admittance we felt welcome and secure in the knowledge he would be taken great care of. We were not wrong, he was treated with dignity and respect right through to the end of his life. A wonderful
team of professional people.

Birthday of my husband. A table was set for us to have lunch together. He thought it was a restaurant. Reservation of two tables in coffee lounge . 9 friends arrived for tea and cake at 2pm. A lovely cake with happy birthday and candles arrived and we sung Happy Birthday to him.
So a big
thank you .

Most of the carers are excellent but I have noticed that a few can be very lazy. I have noticed a few raised eyebrows at times and huffs and rolled eyes! The activities team are excellent - very kind + patient but I do get their probably not under so much pressure as the carers. Looking forward to
hearing who the new management team will be and what changes, if any, they'll implement.

I contacted Cavell Court during December and an appointment was made for me to visit the home. I ascertained there was an available room for my sister in law who at that time was an in patient In hospital.
I visited the home and met one staff member in particular who showed me around and offered
a comprehensive guide to all the home had to offer. I was impressed with the bright, friendly atmosphere and although my sister in law would not be able to take part in any of the activities, it was warming to know there was so much on offer for those who could. I saw the menus covering a wide choice of food on offer, but it was explained that other suitable options would be on offer.
Sister on law finally reached Cavell Court on Christmas Eve by direct transfer from the hospital.
Sad to say, because of my sister in law's age and her existing ailments, she will not be able to fully enjoy all that is on offer.

Our father joined Cavell Court in July 2021. He was very confused and disoriented. The reception staff welcomed him into the home calmly and helped to allay his fears. He took a while to settle onto Patteson Suite but due to the kindness and care of the staff he became calmer and more content.
The
staff also cared for us as a family, keeping up fully updated on his health and general wellbeing. Sadly, our father died in January 2025.
The staff showed kindness and compassion to us all. We will always be grateful to all staff at Cavell Court for their care and love shown to us all.

Mum and ourselves are delighted with life in Cavell Court. We were only remarking the other day that it has a homely feel crossed with a nice hotel. Her room is really nice and spacious, so visiting is comfortable although we tend to take a stroll to take advantage of the self service coffee shop.
The staff who look after her are attentive and we couldn't be happier - a great balance of promoting independence but being there when needed. We're absolutely delighted with all aspects of mum's new home.

My father stayed for a short respite period and we visited him regularly.
His room was always clean and tidy and he was dressed and well presented.
Staff were helpful when I asked queries.
We appreciated the facilities and that we could take him for walks round the garden and make drinks etc.
One staff member in particular was excellent - very kind and thoughtful and helped his granddaughter look at the guinea pigs.
