From the day my father moved in, I had a sense that Leycester House was going to be the right place for him. The stated person-centred approach is clearly not just words - staff show a genuine interest in my father and treat him with dignity, kindness and respect. He required intensive support
initially, which was delivered with compassion and professionalism, but his independence was encouraged wherever possible. The staff all seem to take great pride in what they do, whatever their roles, and there is always a friendly, welcoming atmosphere in the home with lots going on. My father is invited to get involved, but there is never any pressure to do so. As family members, we have been actively welcomed as partners in my father's care and encouraged to visit as often as we like. Thank you, Leycester House.

I would highly recommend Leycester House to anyone looking for a caring and professional home for their loved one. As a family, we visited several homes in the area while searching for the right place for our mum, and we found Leycester House to be exceptional in its patient-centred approach to
meeting each resident's individual needs.
The entire team is attentive and aware of Mum's specific needs, and from the moment she arrived they supported her with kindness and patience. They helped her settle in during what was a very difficult and emotional time for our family, providing reassurance and compassionate care throughout.
As a family, we are kept regularly updated about Mum's care, and staff have been very supportive in involving us in any decisions relating to her care and wellbeing. Although it is still early days for Mum at Leycester House, we already feel reassured that she is safe, comfortable, and being very well cared for.

I am so grateful to Leycester House for the way in which they cared for my 93 year old mother and for me during her recent short stay. When I contacted them they responded very helpfully to the urgency of our situation and fast tracked all the preparation for her arrival, without skipping any of
the essential processes. My mother had very complex and fast changing needs, but the staff came to understand them very quickly and got to know my mother as a person, which was not easy becuase of her deteriorating condition. I was very impressed by the communication systems which allowed all the staff to keep track of the care being provided to each individual, and also by the genuine care demonstrated, which was never hurried and always highly skilled and professional. All the staff - nursing, hospitality and management - were amazing. And the catering team were outstanding - the food was brilliant, and every possible dietary requirement catered for.

If you are looking for a care or nursing home, stop looking. You won't find one better than Leyceater House. We looked - trust me we looked everywhere! We wanted for Dad to go home and it was a massive deciuson for us, even though we had no choice because his needs are so high. Leyceater House was
the only one we wanted Dad to go to and they co.pketely understood how hard it was.The management is excellent and has chosen and works with a simply unsurpassable team. Our Dad comes first, he care staff are compassionate, kind and experienced. They exceptional because the management is exceptional. I would wholeheartedly without reservation recommend Leycester House and thank them all from the bottom of my heart for their kindness and care - oh and the food is amazing!

My Dad moved into Leycester House in September 2022 as he was no longer able to manage his Parkinsons medication by himself. He'd been a widower for 6 years & had coped admirably but watching him walk into his new home/bedroom with a small suitcase was heartbreaking for my brothers and I. He
looked lost and bereft.
He ended up staying for 3 years until his passing at the start of September 2025 where Parkinsons finally engulfed him.
Leycester House's biggest asset is without question its staff. There are probably nursing homes with plusher facilities, maybe even a more up market menu but I defy anybody to find me a home with more caring, loving, appreciative, engaging and warm staff. He felt loved and completely safe within days and that never ever changed.
My brothers and I will forever be grateful to the team and will never forget their kindness and in particular over his last days. Leycester House was his home just as his bungalow was & his farm before that. Thank you

My 90 year old mum moved into Leycester House in May 2024 when she was struggling badly, both mentally and physically. Almost immediately we saw a drastic improvement in her well-being. Her comfortable room is on the nursing floor and the level of care and nursing is superb. She has a great
relationship with the nurses/carers. She looks and acts 20 years younger. The admin/reception/catering staff I've come into contact with are lovely. The private dining room and bar area are attentive. The events organised are frequent and varied. It is a really happy place to visit. I've got my mum back and want to thank everyone at Leycester House for making that happen.

My father was sadly not at Leycester House for long due to the nature of his illness, but the end-of-life care he received was exemplary. The nursing staff worked proactively and sensitively with the local GP practice to ensure Dad was pain-free and comfortable in his last days. Lots of welcoming
smiles for us as family and two staff members in particular could not be more generous with their time. The rooms can sometimes feel quite small but the bar was well stocked and looked after!

As my husband became increasingly unwell, the time came for him to go to Leycester House, where he had spent a fortnight a couple of months earlier to give me respite from attending to him at home day and night. He knew that he was going to a home that had looked after him beautifully, so he was
pleased to go there again. Leycester House has a happy atmosphere, nothing is too much trouble for the staff, and they always greet residents and visitors with smiling faces. He enjoyed the meals, and visitors are encouraged to join the residents for coffee, tea and homemade cake and, if ordered the day before, lunch, which was much appreciated. In fact, visitors are welcome to visit whenever they choose. My thanks go to all the staff for making a previously unknown experience for me and my family as good as it could possibly be.

Following a short stay in hospital, Leycester House was absolutely fantastic in the way they adapted to my Dad's new situation and requirements. Despite his advanced dementia and inability to really express himself, it was clear that he was thrilled to be back 'home' with a huge smile for the care
staff who welcomed him back.
Nothing appears to be too much trouble and they are always thinking of ways to improve his quality of life. They are also always so kind and supportive to both myself and my elderly Mum. Thank you all so much.

Fantastic care home. Lots of activities for residents and their families to get involved in. The staff always friendly and the whole place is so welcoming to not only a new resident but also their family.
Mum had a fabulous stay at Leycester house and as a family visiting her, we had a fabulous
time too. My children and I were included in any of the activities. I could also come and sit in the bistro and have lunch with my mum.
I felt reassured that Mum was being well looked after when I wasn't with her.
They supported and promoted independence when needed and supported my mum in doing her physio-led exercises.
They were fantastically proactive at sorting out medications/prescriptions on a bank holiday weekend - thank you.

Amazing home friendly and the staff are out of this world can’t do enough to help at every step of the experience. Would highly recommend looking around this home. My mum and stepdad have been happy from the first day and continue to be so taking part in the activities and enjoying the singing and
other entertainment laid on by the home.

My elderly father has been at Leycester for a year now, and I can thoroughly recommend the home. They describe themselves as a hotel with care, and they have lived up to that claim and more. My father was getting confused with his pills and medical appointments, and these were successfully
transitioned to Leycester, who have proven to be extremely reliable, ensuring his complex requirements are carefully and accurately dealt with. This is of great relief to the family, and he is in great spirits and never grows tired of singing everyone's praises. All the staff have been both lovely and extremely professional in all matters. We'll be taking him away for a few days in October, and I know from prior experience that everything will be carefully packed for him, all his medications will be arranged in individual bags carefully labelled, etc. We are so glad we chose Leycester over the other homes we considered.

We have always been very impressed by the standard of care at Leycester House and the hard work and kindness of the staff. This was especially evident when my mother celebrated her birthday this month. Everyone made it very special for her and we enjoyed an excellent lunch together including the
unexpected arrival of an amazing birthday cake. We took great comfort from the day knowing that my mother is being so well looked after.

My father-in-law was admitted for respite as he was getting very confused with his Parkinson’s meds and was lonely and had deteriorated from the Covid isolation.
The staff at Leycester House could not do enough to settle him in and make him feel safe and welcome. We feel much happier knowing he is
being looked after and has company now.
