I was dubious about my mum being transferred from a long spell in hospital after looking at the ratings for Grace Court. How wrong could I have been.. or the CQC! Grace Court is an absolute home from home, these carers are outstanding as are all the staff from the laundry department to the chef and
kitchen staff, the food is proper home cooked meals which are served with the needs of the residents in mind. It is one big happy family here, and I couldn't wish for better care for my mum. It has also helped me with my stress levels knowing my mum is in a professional and loving environment where she is happy, and I myself love my visits here, catching up with the lovely staff and residents. 10/10.

A wonderful place for my dad and to now call home, all the staff have been welcoming and supportive of both me & husband as we worked through his transition to full time nursing home. They have really engaged with him ensure he feels safe. Last week I saw him laughing and joining in with the
activities. I've not seen him belly laugh in many many years so it was a joy to see. He's eating better and they've been able to work with him to improve his personal care/hygiene which to me proves he trusts them and is truly content. Dad is a quite active 6ft (85 yo) and the change from independent to nursing was always going to be a challenge.. all the staff and management team recognised this and have achieved the level of safe/secure/engaged etc very quickly.

Mum was discharged from hospital earlier this year. We did not want her to return to the care home she had been in for about 10 months prior to the hospital. We didn't pick Grace Court and were a little worried because of our previous experience of a care home. We arranged a visit before mum's
admittance. We were made to feel so welcome, mum's room was beautiful and had been finished with all her personal things, bedding, pictures etc. On weekly visits, mum is always up, dressed and in the day room watching TV, something that wasn't the case previous home! I can't thank the staff enough for looking after mum and giving the family peace of mind that she is safe there and cared for as she deserves, she is 94 years old. Thank you to all the staff.

I visited the care home this weekend to say a final goodbye to everyone after my father-in-law passed away recently.
I was utterly disappointed to see that the new furniture has not yet arrived after it was ordered (apparently) almost 1 year ago!
The residents are sitting on old furniture - some
without the correct cushions on, thus making the seats even lower and obviously more difficult to get up from. The dining table chairs don't have sides on and some of them are a little wobbly (I would often spot a chair where the frame was loose so I would turn it over and temporarily fix it). It's such a shame because the care is so good here, it upsets me to see this.
My father-in-law paid out a very large sum of money every week to pay for his care and I think it's so unfair that he didn't have a comfortable armchair to sit on for the remainder of his life. (He resided there for 21 months). Where is the new furniture?

My Dad was moved out of the hospital under discharge to assess in December 2020. As a family, we were not given any choice in this move or our selection of a care setting. As such we were concerned at his placement. We needn't have been. The staff were warm and welcoming. They gave us information
when we needed, and the manager was open and honest about where would best meet my Dad's future needs going forward (residential not nursing). Staff supported the LLAMS team in coming to a diagnosis. The staff were aware that he would only be with them for a short time, but they still went to the effort of carefully sorting and labelling all his clothes for him. Their warmth and support made a difficult time easier. Thank you!

In January 2020 I needed a safe, secure home for my sister. After months of searching, and constant rejection due to lack of standardized evaluations; I had reached the end of my rather. Then I came to Grace Court Care Center. I gave them her details, and Grace Court did the rest. Her care is second
to none. I have peace of mind she is safe and happy, priceless!

We find the staff at the home caring towards the residents.
Staff are always friendly when we visit - but unable to visit at present due to COVID-19. We look forward to visiting again soon.

My lovely Dad was moved to Grace Court because he needed the EMI support that they offer, he was moved under exceptional circumstances while we were in lockdown and we were so worried about him moving to somewhere new. We have to say as a family that all the staff we spoke to were just so lovely to
us and kept reassuring us that dad was ok, they didn't just give us lip service, they let us know when Dad hadn't had a good day etc... They let us go and see Dad through the window and speak to him.
Unfortunately, my Dad was only there for two weeks, and sadly passed away, but prior to him passing the manager allowed us to come in and be with him, and for that, I am so truly grateful, she was so lovely to us and made my Dads passing calm and peaceful and we were with him until the end. She looked after us during and after, that is indeed someone who cares.
Thank you to all you staff from the bottom of our hearts.
