I am so grateful to be able to express my heartfelt gratitude to Ferndown Manor and all the young men and women who work there.
From the moment my sister in law entered Ferndown Manor 4 years ago, she has never received anything but the very best of care.
My eternal thanks.

Staff are always happy and smiling. Nothing is too much trouble. The team are always on hand to help answer any queries that may arise. Mom is offered choices with regard to activities to join in with. She is encouraged to play a full part in day-to-day pursuits. From reception, carers, activity

Our relatives and us have been welcomed with smiles and offers to help. Our relative has a nice room with her own pictures put up on the walls. So far, everyone is friendly, caring and helpful. Keeping us informed of her health and well being. Always smiling and going above and beyond.

Ferndown Manor is a very caring and compassionate care home. Staff are always considerate and helpful. Facilities are excellent.
Both my parents have been residents, both short term for respite and long term and the staff have been caring and considerate. It gives peace of mind that they will be
given the care and attention that they can no longer get at home.

Mum is receiving excellent care in every way. She has lived at Ferndown Manor for just over a month. As a family, we find it a welcoming and happy place. We are reasured that mum has constant care, is safe and can take part in organised activities as she likes. Everything was taken care of as Mum
made the move. From our first enquiries, all staff were friendly and offered coffee and cakes in the bistro. It is sometimes busy with residents, staff, visiting children, and even dogs. A lovely vibe. Mum looks so well, taking pride again in herself. She chats with others in the dining room, building new friendships. She has a calm room with plenty of daylight, and has made it her own with her favourite possessions. Mum says she can't fault anything. Good to see her settled.

My mum has been a resident for almost 6 weeks now. The staff made here feel very welcome and she has settled in very well. Mum has found the staff friendly, caring and respectful. She enjoys all the activities and joins in whenever possible. In fact all who visit my mum have been made to feel
welcome and the café area has an at home feel about it. The grounds are well kept as are the communal areas and mum has a very nice room. I cannot fault the care she receives here. My family viewed several care homes on mum's behalf before settling on Ferndown Manor, which we ultimately chose because of its overall atmosphere and felt it was the best match for mum's personality.

My dear friend Thelma was sent to Ferndown Manor from the palliative care unit in Christchurch, for end of life care. I cannot praise them enough, every single member of staff were 100% caring and friendly also very professional, we really couldn't have asked for anymore. Thelma was very happy there
from day one nothing was too much for the staff and they were very welcoming to visitors. I would highly recommend Ferndown Manor for loved ones.

Premises: On approach, initial impression was very good. Ample parking. Grounds kept to a good state. Reception area immaculate and security was good. Always greeted with a smile and known by first name, which was a great personal touch.
Staff: Exceptionally helpful and very kind. Very
professional in what they did. Their personal care and hygiene was exceptional.
Meals: meals and cakes were of a very high standard.
Minor observation: Wet room shower floor gave impression/feeling a bit slippery.

I fractured my left hip and had to have a total hip replacement. As I live on my own in a 3 bedroom house, I was unable after leaving hospital to go home. My son visited a few care homes and thought that Ferndown Manor would be just what I needed for 4 weeks, I can't praise it too highly. The
overall experience was exceptional. The day and night staff were so caring. I cannot fault the hygiene and personal care I received. Catering and food was excellent, and I had a birthday whilst there and received a birthday cake, which was unexpected.
I would recommend Ferndown Manor Care Home to anyone.

We were greeted warmly at reception, and our questions were quickly answered. The staff were extremely attentive and understanding. We were offered refreshments and were made to feel welcome. The home is lovely, clean, bright and warm. Nothing is too much for the staff in what can be a difficult
environment at times. At no time did we feel rushed out or ignored. Lovely personal attention.

Overall experience as a visitor is excellent. The resident I visit is sometimes left in bed in the mornings quite late. He needs to be got up earlier.
Staff are all friendly, and there is a good ambience in the communal lounge whenever I visit.

Mum was a resident of Ferndown from 31/8/23 - 15/9/25. We chose Ferndown after visiting 13 homes in Dorset & Wales and being impressed with 2 weeks' respite earlier in 2023. Mum became increasingly unwell from July, and it was a huge relief that she could spend the last weeks of her life in her own
room being looked after by people who knew her little quirks. She died peacefully at 57 15/9/25 with me by her side - the staff improvised a bed so I could stay, and her care in those last days was outstanding. Thank you to all the team & front of house for helping us through this hard time.

A big thank you to the Reception staff who always go out of their way to enable me to speak to my Mum.
Visual impairment means that it is very difficult for her to use her mobile - they take her to reception so that she can use a phone there.
