My mum has been a resident for almost 6 weeks now. The staff made here feel very welcome and she has settled in very well. Mum has found the staff friendly, caring and respectful. She enjoys all the activities and joins in whenever possible. In fact all who visit my mum have been made to feel
welcome and the café area has an at home feel about it. The grounds are well kept as are the communal areas and mum has a very nice room. I cannot fault the care she receives here. My family viewed several care homes on mum's behalf before settling on Ferndown Manor, which we ultimately chose because of its overall atmosphere and felt it was the best match for mum's personality.

My dear friend Thelma was sent to Ferndown Manor from the palliative care unit in Christchurch, for end of life care. I cannot praise them enough, every single member of staff were 100% caring and friendly also very professional, we really couldn't have asked for anymore. Thelma was very happy there
from day one nothing was too much for the staff and they were very welcoming to visitors. I would highly recommend Ferndown Manor for loved ones.

Staff: Exceptionally helpful and very kind. Very
professional in what they did. Their personal care and hygiene was exceptional.
Meals: meals and cakes were of a very high standard.
Minor observation: Wet room shower floor gave impression/feeling a bit slippery.

I fractured my left hip and had to have a total hip replacement. As I live on my own in a 3 bedroom house, I was unable after leaving hospital to go home. My son visited a few care homes and thought that Ferndown Manor would be just what I needed for 4 weeks, I can't praise it too highly. The
overall experience was exceptional. The day and night staff were so caring. I cannot fault the hygiene and personal care I received. Catering and food was excellent, and I had a birthday whilst there and received a birthday cake, which was unexpected.
I would recommend Ferndown Manor Care Home to anyone.

We were greeted warmly at reception, and our questions were quickly answered. The staff were extremely attentive and understanding. We were offered refreshments and were made to feel welcome. The home is lovely, clean, bright and warm. Nothing is too much for the staff in what can be a difficult
environment at times. At no time did we feel rushed out or ignored. Lovely personal attention.

Overall experience as a visitor is excellent. The resident I visit is sometimes left in bed in the mornings quite late. He needs to be got up earlier.
Staff are all friendly, and there is a good ambience in the communal lounge whenever I visit.

Mum was a resident of Ferndown from 31/8/23 - 15/9/25. We chose Ferndown after visiting 13 homes in Dorset & Wales and being impressed with 2 weeks' respite earlier in 2023. Mum became increasingly unwell from July, and it was a huge relief that she could spend the last weeks of her life in her own
room being looked after by people who knew her little quirks. She died peacefully at 57 15/9/25 with me by her side - the staff improvised a bed so I could stay, and her care in those last days was outstanding. Thank you to all the team & front of house for helping us through this hard time.

A big thank you to the Reception staff who always go out of their way to enable me to speak to my Mum.
Visual impairment means that it is very difficult for her to use her mobile - they take her to reception so that she can use a phone there.

I came for my 2-week stay in Ferndown Manor Care Home from July 3rd to July 19th 2025. Surroundings are beautiful, and I loved the garden very much. The caring staff were so good and nothing too much trouble. Exemplary! I appreciated the coffee cake and anything one wanted at all times. Staffing
very good. Activity folk are excellent at all lengths and abilities. The patience of all staff was amazing!! (As I had been in the caring system myself) Food was a little nursery style. Butched and puds very good. Not much fruit, though. Very efficiently served and cleared away. Room was good (room meal time please). Clean at all times. I was able to get around on my 3 wheeler, too. Thank you. 6 stars ******

We viewed several homes in the area and my sister her husband a decent one we all agreed on this one. Definitely not disappointed the staff are all very friendly and approachable for and queries that we have regarding Mums care and well-being your always greeted by a friendly receptionist and the
management are particularly good at sorting out any questions you have. Mum has top level care and is invited to join in on any activities that are happening on that day, there is always something good going on with the activities staff. The home is always clean and smells good unlike some that I have visited and the coffee shop is a good area for a chat with other residents families. Mum seems to be happy staying at the home and did make some nice friends when she first moved there. All in all 10/10.

My mum has been in Ferndown Manor for just over a year now, and she is very happy. There are always lots of lovely activities for her to take part in, she particularly likes music and the visits from various performers and loves animals. As a family, we are so grateful that mum is able to live here
as she is safe, happy and very cared for. Ferndown Manor has a very friendly atmosphere and all the staff across the board are amazing. Thank you all so much.

The Manor is a spacious and pleasant environment. It is always clean and neat, and the staff are always pleasant. The arrangement of the rooms from a visitor's point of view could do with reviewing, as there is generally not a visitor's chair, and if there is you can only sit on the other side of
the bed and if there is not you have to sit on the bed.
