I cannot recommend the RS&G highly enough. The care my father has received is exceptional. He is treated with respect and kindness. The staff are friendly and welcoming to visiting family and communicate effectively keeping me up to date with my fathers changing needs. It is a comfort to know that he is comfortable and well cared for. I could not wish for more.
My mum was admitted only 2 weeks ago for end of life care. Every single member of staff have been outstanding. The care and compassion they give to mum and us as family is amazing. We are kept informed of any changes or concerns. It has really helped in what is an emotional time. We are all so grateful for everything they are doing, The whole home is clean, warm and welcoming. Cannot praise them highly enough.
I am absolutely thrilled to have found the Royal Star & Garter, in High Wycombe, for my 85 year old mother. She has loved it from the very first day. The staff are truly wonderful, the entertainment is always a joy along with the activities, and she raves about the lunches! We couldn't be happier with the amazing care and warm atmosphere, it's been a real blessing.

My husband is a resident at Royal Star & Garter, High Wycombe. He has Alzcheimers, the staff exceptionally kind and caring. They look after him so well and they know him well. He moved in Sept 25. Staff could not do more to keep him settle.
Being an adult child living in another country it is a huge relief to know my father is being so well cared for. The staff are amazing - so welcoming, kind and thoughtful. The facility is exceptionally well maintained - clean and bright - as is dad's room. Lots of activities which dad thoroughly enjoys. Without a doubt, this is the best season of his life and we are so, so grateful to all the staff at Royal Star and Garter.
Fantastic nursing home, exceptionally clean like a quality hotel. The staff are absolutely fantastic and my dad has received nothing but excellent care. Communication with the home is also excellent. Cannot recommend highly enough.
RS+G, service and care has been and is second to none. My mother was surprised by the care and compassion provided.
This is my second review since my father became a resident at Royal Star and Garter almost a year ago. Having been hesitant about going he settled in very well and thoroughly enjoys all the varied activities, social events and outings. Recently, my father had a stroke and the care and support given to him and myself has been outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble and staff go the extra mile in all aspects of care, including specific needs assessments. Each time I visit my father, I am greeted with such kindness and the family environment is so apparent. I am so grateful that Dad is with you.
My husband has severe dementia and has been a resident for 4 years. I cannot fault this care home. The care and attention my husband receives is second to none. He is treated with respect and love by the staff. I am kept well informed of various situations that occur affecting my husband. I would also like to add that the staff are considerate and understanding with regard to my emotions connected with my husbands condition. Before I made a decision to choose The Royal Star & Garter I had in fact visited other care homes which frankly filled me with dread. I have never regretted my decision choosing RS & G.
Our 92 year old father who suffers from vascular dementia has been resident at the Royal Star & Garter for nearly 5 years now and I can honestly say that I cannot imagine a better care home. My dad's dementia means that he has no short-term memory at all and therefore is constantly lost and confused as to where he is and cannot make new friendships or relationships. Despite this, the staff show endless patience and kindness towards my dad treating him with utmost respect and care which has the result of making him feel relaxed and at ease. The staff have made the effort to learn my dad's 'ways' and adapt to them so that his experience of life is as pleasant and sociable as it possibly could be. From the management of the home, through the level of care given by the staff, the high standard of the rooms and interior, to the delicious food served. I cannot praise the Royal Star & Garter highly enough. Their communication with us the family is also excellent and extremely considerate
My Father has been at Royal Star and Garter since September 2023. From the start the staff have been wonderfully caring and helpful. My family is kept constantly updated on all aspects of his care including physical and emotional aspects. We are always made to feel welcome when visiting and it is great too see my Dad so well cared for. We could not be happier with how cared for and happy my Dad is High Wycombe branch of Royal Star and Garter.
Two members of staff, in particular, are absolutely marvellous supporting my mum with day care. My mother thoroughly enjoys the activities and chatting with other service users. Mum enjoys all the activities; painting, movement to music, and cards and she loves the day trips.
My Husband attends Dementia Day Care weekly and we also attend bi-weekly Lunch Club together. The attention to care for both these events is excellent and could not be better. The staff are enthusiastic, caring and helpful. At both these events the food is nutritious, options are also given, and portion size is perfect. I think every detail is taken into consideration. Have only good things to say about Royal Star and Garter.
My husband had been a resident for 15 months at The Royal Star and Garter and he was very happy there. Everyone at this home is kind and considerate - nothing too much trouble. I have nothing but praise for them. The Home is lovely and friendly - a pleasant place to be.
Building is spotless. Staff are lovely and professional.
I could not be more pleased with this care home; it is outstanding. As a retired clinician, I have visited many homes in my working life. I was dismayed when my husband's dementia became too difficult to continue home caring. At Royal Star and Garter he is very happy and well cared for by cheerful, smiling, competent, caring and welcoming staff, nothing appears to be too much trouble for them. The rooms, facilities and cleanliness are superb.
My wife has now been a resident in one of the specialist dementia wings for over 3 years suffering with Alzheimer's disease. The home itself is modern in its design. It is light and airy and has clearly been designed with an understanding and sympathy of the needs of dementia residents. It is very well managed and the staff are thoroughly trained in the requirements and demands of those with this progressive disease. They are kind, friendly and caring in every respect. My wife is so content and comfortable that I feel she thinks she is actually at home. I can't rate the Royal Star and Garter highly enough.
