View Full Details of Pear Tree CourtMy mum has been at Pear Tree just over two weeks and the change in her is incredible. Despite a lot of care visits at home my mum was still struggling, since being at Pear Tree she is doing so much better, she is now getting dressed each day, eating and drinking the lovely food and joining in lots of the activities on offer. The staff are wonderful and with lots of encouragement mum is now enjoying life in a way that is suitable for her situation, seeing the smile and little grins on her face again is so heart warming. It was a very tough decision as a family to make this move into care for mum a very emotional journey for us, the staff have understood this and been very supportive to the family as we navigated this process. The support we have had during the visits to choose this home and since mum has been a resident has been fantastic. Thank you Pear Tree
My grandma, is always well looked after and we have a good strong communication between ourselves and the staff at the home. There is always activities on for the residents to do, which I really value as my grandma really benefits with interaction. Staff are always really friendly and polite and they make a lot of our family when we come to see her.
My mum is looked after very well at Pear Tree. Everyone are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are excellent everything is very clean. We can relax on holiday knowing mum is getting the best care. Very positive experience from Pear Tree Court all staff attentive and professional at all times.
My Uncle has stayed in Pear Tree Court for respite care on a number of occasions when he is not coping at home. He has arrived feeling tired, unwell and undernourished. Within a very short time of arriving he has rallied, feeling better and eating properly. The staff have always kept me informed of his progress and of any concerns.
My mum is beginning to settle in at Pear Tree Court. She has had a really good experience with the carers since she moved in to her new home in early May. For me I am very comfortable with the care she is being given and how the home is dealing with her integration. She has many activities in which to participate and is beginning to make some friends. She really enjoys the food. I am finally now relaxed about her environment and no longer worried about her living at home alone when her mobility had restricted her quality of life so much. The introduction process, from one member of staff was also a key reason why we joined Pear Tree. Thanks.
Care home was good and nice environment, good patio in the garden. My room had a good patio door and a nice garden view, it made me feel relaxed and comfortable. Room temperature was perfect. When I first visited the Care home, the staff gave me a very good introduction and made me feel welcome! The food deserts had too much sugar for me because I am diabetic. The food quality was generally good.
The care given to my husband was wonderful, he was in the later stages of Alzheimer's. He was involved in activities that I didn't think he Would manage but he enjoyed them. He had a tendency to fall so great care was taken to protect him to avoid injury My dog and I felt very welcomed in the nursing home The GP attended regularly It meant at the end of his life he was given exceptional care which was a great relief for me
I have always found the staff open and very approachable to discuss mums care. All staff are dedicated to ensuring that mum has a good care experience and she has said the food is delicious. There is a broad spectrum of activities going on every day and mum has the opportunity to engage in these activities at Pear Tree Court. She particularly enjoys the arts and crafts, knit and natter and gardening activities.
Pear Tree Court has a wonderful atmosphere and energy through out. The manager and the whole team were kind, caring and very helpful. We cannot sing their praises enough. Every member of the staff from reception , cleaners , carers and nurses were wonderful , nothing was too much trouble. My father experienced a calm and very respectful time on his final journey at Pear Tree Court. We would highly recommend Pear Tree Court to anyone seeking care for a loved one
Very possitive experience from Pear Tree Court all staff attentive and professional at all times. Home was immaculate calm and a real home from home. Although my father sadly passed away eight days after transferring from hospital. With Pear Trees help he was able to have the passing he wanted.
The Pear Tree Court has been a wonderful care home for my father during his stay there. The staff, carers and nurses have been outstanding and I cannot fault them. They are kind, caring and very understanding. My father is very happy at Pear Tree Court and this to me is paramount in my father's welfare. I go home contented knowing he is being looked after and cared for 100% 24/7. All the team are kind and very caring.
My nan has been in Pear Tree Court since January and is settling in nicely. She has already been moved rooms to one with a garden view which hopefully she will get to see soon but has been very poorly since Christmas when she was in hospital with flu and pneumonia. The care staff are very attentive to detail and making sure she has everything she needs. The chef also is great and knows her favourite foods. The facilities are good and there is a cafe where you can make yourself coffee and there are homemade goods for all to eat. Upstairs there is a cinema for the residents which has even been made to look as such with proper seats. All the staff and reception are very welcoming and friendly. You can visit as much as you like. I am especially impressed with the timetable that goes out every week with different events and sometimes birthdays that they can all participate in. Hopefully nan will get better soon and enjoy some of these.
Pear Tree Court is a wonderful place in all respects. The staff are amazing and work so hard to ensure all the residents' needs are met. Mum has been there for 18 months and is very happy, she has made friends and has the choice of many activities if she wishes to join in. There is a hair salon too and also regular pampering sessions where Mum has her nails painted which she loves. Pear Tree Court has a very homely feel and is beautifully furnished and comfortable. The food is very good and the chef always ensures residents favourites are on the menu. There are no restrictions for visiting and there is a lovely coffee shop and garden area. I attend the regular relative meetings, which are held by the management and are very helpful in hearing about future plans and events and a chance to ask questions. Although the management have an open-door policy so it's always easy to speak to them should you need to.
Pear Tree Court is a lovely place. Not at all the typical idea we have of care homes. It is bright, modern, clean and beautifully decorated. Very well laid out with lots of lovely rooms for activities or quiet moments should you need them. There is a coffee shop with drinks and cakes for residents and visitors and a large garden. The dining room is lovely with amazing food on offer with a change of menu every day. There is a lovely friendly atmosphere and everyone greets us cheerily. Our Mum has her door open so staff and other residents often pop in for a chat or wave as they go by. It has been a big adjustment for our Mum and not without difficulties but after a few months she is feeling much more settled. It has been a huge relief for our family to know that she has 24 hour care and is safe. One issue is that staffing levels are not always as good as they should be. Our Mum has sometimes still been in bed until late morning when visitors arrive. Care on the whole is great.
Pear Tree Court has a warm and friendly atmosphere, the staff are very welcoming to us and very caring towards our loved ones. The accommodation is first class and refreshments are always available for both residents and visitors. The decor is pleasing to the eye, homely, and well thought out. The building is secure and safe for the residents although staffing levels as always in nursing homes could be improved; the staff however who are here, work hard and cover their respective areas of responsibility very well. Nursing care is good. The doctor visits every week. Amenities for the residents are good, with plenty of activities to keep those able happy, including arts and crafts, singers, music, and trips out. (And much more).
Our mum has been a resident of Pear Tree Court for four months now. In that time we have been quite blown away by the warmth, energy, and fun that has been shown to Mum. From the lovely atmosphere in the coffee shop to the amazing in-house activities to the outings - including a boat trip on Southampton harbour - to the exceptional level of one-to-one connections with the care team and mum's meds, it's been a reassuring and comforting journey for us. Mum often says to us that she's in the right place. She has more fun and laughter and nonsense than she ever had living on her own. It's an amazing residence!
My experience of the care home is that it is all good. I can go to the care home when I like to see my mum and it is all ways in a clean and I can speak to staff about what is going on with my mum, thank you.
Pear Tree Court is a friendly, comfortable , safe home, the staff are so helpful, nothing is too much. My husband really enjoyed his respite stay. The food is good, and the rooms are very nicely decorated. On a nice day the garden is lovely to sit in, with a nice coffee from the coffee shop, lots of flowers and lots of birds come to visit.
Very friendly and helpful, they make it feel like home.
My mother came to Pear Tree Court after suffering multiple hip dislocations, and a right hip 'revision' (replacement). Mum didn't really want to go into a Care Home but I convinced her, particularly as I no longer drive and she would be close to me. Personally, I think the care she has received has been outstanding. The staff are very supportive and caring and Mum's experience has given me some peace of mind. The only downside is that Mum has stayed in her room and has not wanted to go to the dining room, one of the many lounges, cinema room, bar or garden so I cannot comment on these facilities. Hopefully, Mum can start to go out and get the full experience.
