My mum has been a resident since August 2024.
She is happy, clean , cared for and loved. Care staff are wonderful with mum and are there if you need to chat and are supportive .
All the stress has been removed as GP , chiropodist, nurse visits, hairdressing visits are organised by care staff.
Mum's life has improved as has ours the family.
The food for mum is tasty and appetising and you can stay for meals if you ask .
I can honestly say all staff work together to give the best care x

Alexandra House have cared for my mum for the past 5 years. Mum has advanced Alzheimer's and it has been awful for us as a family watching her become a shadow of her former self.
The staff at Alexandra Hse have been amazing, the care and love they show my mum is such a comfort when we are not
there. We have known two Home managers since our time with Caresouth and both have been supportive and caring when dealing with queries and managing mums various health issues. Special mention to Vanessa who is an absolute credit to Caresouth, always there for the residents with a smile and a hug, professional and supportive to families helping both residents and their relatives navigate this heartbreaking disease.
Caresouth provide exceptional care, I would not hesitate to recommend them to others starting this journey.

This was truly the best place for my friend Ann to have spent her last 4 years, couldn't have asked for better care. Always greeted with a friendly smile and polite attitude nothing is ever too much trouble. The place is kept extremely clean and well maintained. Ann became an Alexandra House family
member fitting in straight away, Ann had dietary issues and the chef went above and beyond trying to find foods Ann could eat. Alexandra House wouldn't be the kind, caring place it is if it wasn't for all of the people that work there, they fill it with love and compassion..I'm truly thankful that Ann had 4 wonderful years there until her passing in February..

When I was shown around Alexandra House, I was very impressed by the cleanliness, the positive attitude of the staff, the facilities and the attention to detail. My wife Dawn then spent three weeks as a resident, having respite care, and her experience proved the accuracy of my first impressions.
Apart from a few instances of me needing to check a request had been followed up, the staff set very high standards, keeping a careful eye on providing the right medication at the right time, logging all information appropriately and doing their very best to provide all the necessary care. The catering was excellent, with commendable positivity over meal times and menus according to Dawn's needs; she particularly enjoyed the cooked breakfasts! All members of staff were consistently friendly and welcoming; their positive and people-centred approach spoke of excellent management. Communication was very good. I was advised of Dawn's three minor falls in a timely fashion, and appropriate medical checks were carried out afterwards. Dawn's time in Alexandra House did her a power of good. She made real progress. We're very grateful.

Dad has been cared for in Alexandra House for 18 months. I cannot speak highly enough of the amazing staff that support him. Management, admin, and carers are handpicked. Dad loves his minibus outings! Staff above and beyond our expectations. I am kept informed of his health and daily life. Everyone
is approachable, and nothing is too much trouble. Staff are knowledgeable, caring, kind and upbeat - a perfect team. 100% happy!

I want to thank a member of staff who works on the station on the upper floor of the care home. She also works downstairs too. When my husband and I were concerned about my dad medication or help to assist him better she always gave help, listen to our concerns and if she could not answer the
questions she would always come and find us or phone us at home, its all very new for myself and my husband and her help as help us immensely and is a true professional. I want to thank Alexandra House for helping my dad to settle well in the home and would recommend others to bring their loved ones here if needed care.

I've been visiting Alexandra House for past two years on a weekly basis. I am so very impressed with the kind and caring staff. Every time their attitude towards the residents is kind, caring, friendly and always genuine. They all work very hard but manage to make everyone feel special. They are all
kind and caring towards visitors. The kindness I have received has been exemplary. The home is absolutely spotless and everything very tidy. I can't speak highly enough about Alexandra House.

Alexandra House is always clean, safe and with smiling, helpful staff. From day 1 of my mum arriving, I knew she was in good hands and would be safe. All the staff genuinely care for the residents. The building is well maintained and always clean. Occasionally, there seems to be a few less staff but
the majority of times it is well covered (I visit weekly). The staff treat the residents with dignity and an interest in their life prior to arrival. I recommend it to anyone.

I absolutely love this care home. My husband Tony is treated with lots of love, care and dignity. It is run like a family friendly environment, and I am treated as part of this family. It is always a pleasure for me and my family to come and visit my husband, father and grandad. Thank you.

We can't speak highly enough of all the staff at Alexandra House.
The staff are always friendly and always have time to address any concerns we may have.
The home is always clean and the food is excellent with a great menu choice each day.
The activities team are fantastic and dad always enjoys
the trips out. It's a great relief to us to know dad is properly cared for. Many thanks.

Dad has been at Alexandra House for over a year, during that time he has enjoyed many trips out and activities at the home. The food is 1st class and the home is always clean and welcoming. The staff gave become friends and are always available despite being busy. As a family we have joined in with
many of the events you run throughout the year which always result in fun and laughter, and lovely cakes.

During his stay, my father was treated with kindness and respect and despite him not being partially 'happy' at moving into a home at the beginning, quickly settled in.
In-between my regular visits, I received numerous update calls and always felt assured he was well looked after and in safe
hands.
He passed away recently however my wife and I were with him throughout. During this time, the staff were incredibly kind and considerate, alongside providing guidance, support and empathy during his final hours.

Mum was struggling to cope at home so needed some respite care.
Made some enquiries on the Saturday and mum was in a lovely room by Sunday.
The team were fantastic in this speedy care and took time to find out about mums life, likes/dislikes etc so they could understand her needs.
Since this time
, mum has now become a resident since her care needs to be ongoing.
The staff are always happy to see us when we visit and are very up to date on mums day to day progress when we ask about her.
So impressed with all the staff we have met, from the care home manager to anyone that assist with mums care.
With lovely facilities and good views, mum is able to live her best life.

My aunty was malnourished when she came to live here. Within the space of a few weeks she has put on 4kg and looks healthier than she has done in years. I cannot thank the staff enough for their love and care, it's visceral they are so attentive to her and she is now flourishing. The home is always
clean tidy and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
My aunty loves it here and she feels safe. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Mum had to go for restbite care. On arrival at Alexandra House the centre manager helped get Mum out of the care and imediatley reasured and was kind to Mum. Her lovely staff settled Mum in as she was a little poorley. Then came to us the family and thoroughley explained everything about the
facility to us whilst asking in depth questions about Mums life/likes/needs etc. We have visited many times and are allways welcomed no matter how busy the staff are. They make time for us and more importantly Mum. Excelent staff/care/quality.

My mother, May, moved in to Alexandra House on 30th December 2024. It began as a 2week respite stay as she was becoming unable to cope at home even with carers. This steadily increased to more respite and then as Mum became more and more frail she was given end of life care and sadly passed away
mid February. The seven weeks that she spent at Alexandra House were blessed. My sisters my brother and I were so very very grateful to all the staff for their care, their empathy - to mum to us and to all the family who visited- their professionalism and their patience. We could not have asked for more for our dear mother in her last weeks. I cannot stress highly enough the brilliance of Alexandra House and they all have my heartfelt thanks and admiration.

I would like to submit a further review in recognition of the amazing team at Alexandra House. A few weeks ago It became sadly evident that my mum was entering her last stage of life and both immediately and seamlessly the whole team came to our aid. Mum was cared for so tenderly and we too, as her
family, were cared for with such kindness and consideration.
Mum received careful attention throughout the day and the night with her comfort and dignity being main priority at all times. We truly believe that due to the exemplary care given, Mum's last journey was made as restful and dignified as it could possibly be.
We cannot thank you enough for your dedication and for the support that each one of you offered so generously and consistently to mum and to her family.
