My brother was dying - end of life - The staff went above & beyond to make his last 2 weeks of his life so much easier to understand and cope with. I flew out from Australia arrived exhausted & jet lagged & concerned. Staff not only looked after my brother with dignity and respect and yes love, and
allowed me to be with my brother all day. I was treated with courtesy, respect & dignity and supported by all I encountered. I am so impressed by the service in every dept & from everyone I encountered. Well done! My thanks always.

Today I have had a valentine's lunch with my mother at Carpathia. It was arranged by the head chef Sharon with Claire and Megan from the lifestyle team. The lunch was delicious and the room was decorated beautifully. It was a lovely experience and I appreciate the work that went into making it a
very special lunch.

I looked at four care homes in person, however I had also read CQC reports for at least another four which did not sound too good. Hampshire recommended several but I was not impressed! Although my father took a while to settle (having been moved around by the NHS) he grew very fond of the carers
looking after him. His two & a bit years in Carpathia Grange were happy. I could not fault the service that they provided. It was an excellent choie which suited my fathers needs.

We are so happy with the care and attention my brother receives. It has been a massive change for him and all the staff throughout the home, and has really made him feel welcome and relaxed. We couldn't of asked for more! Thank you.

After 2 years in Carpathia Grange my Mum has just passed away. Mum increasingly suffered with dementia during this period and I cannot praise sufficiently the staff at Carpathia Grange for their patience and support in her decline. I saw genuine care, concern and dignity from all of the team who
had clearly built meaningful relationships with her. Carpathia Grange made every effort to meet both our expectations and Mums needs whilst she was in their care and her end of life experience was a gentle as these things can be.
The whole team from management, clinical, maintenance, catering, house keeping at Carpathia are excellent, motivated, caring, professionals who will give your family member a positive experience when they need support in later life. I would like to thank all of you.

Staff are warm, friendly and welcoming. I am kept informed on Mum's welfare. Lovely touches like the coffee shop/cafe, the possibility for me to join Mum for lunch. I am very happy with Carpathia - I know Mum is safe and well looked after which is a re-assurance as I live abroad.

The summer party was really enjoyable and thoroughly enjoyed the singer and food. My Father really enjoyed it too. It was well organised and good fun - thank you to the staff for making it a such a success

I attended Carpathia Grange's Summer Party last Saturday with my husband and spent a lovely few hours with my Mum in the garden. The weather was good, not too hot, and therefore the event was held totally outside. The food was very good and plentiful whilst being very varied to suit all tastes and
dietary requirements.
All the team worked extremely hard to provide an enjoyable occasion for everyone, nothing was too much trouble and many staff had given their own time to assist their colleagues with the residents and visitors. The entertainment was good and the music tailored to the audience.
Although I do not live locally, I always try to attend social occasions with my Mum at Carpathia Grange as they are always fun occasions and also provide the chance for residents' family members to meet each other outside the indoor environment of the home.

Excellent care home , cannot recommend enough, so many lovely facilities for the residents to enjoy . All their needs are catered for. The home has a welcoming family atmosphere every body given a friendly welcome. Lots of enriching activities.

Outstanding, I cannot praise all the staff at Carpathia Grange enough. From the time you walk through the door you are greeted by such friendly & welcoming staff. The support I was initially given from the home manager & admin staff when I was first looking for a care home to move my mum to was
incredible. All this support reflects in the way the home is run, everyone seems so happy & positive to be working together as a team to care for all the residents. It is always such a pleasure to visit, there are so many lovely places to sit within the home & a beautiful garden. The rooms are always kept clean. The food is outstanding with so much choice & the lifestyle team are just great. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking to move here enough.

Our father spent two months in residence at Carpathia Grange before sadly passing away.
Ge was the happiest we had seen him for a while and really enjoyed all the activities laid on by the staff, especially those involving singing!
We would like to thank all the staff for the care and support
given to our father, and for making his stay so happy and enjoyable.
We would also like to thank all for making his family and friends feel so very welcome when visiting.

My mother, on leaving the hospital, took advantage of the 3 for 2 week respite care offer - she was not disappointed, so much so that she signed up for a further 4 week period.

My friend and employer stayed at Carpathia for respite care. She absolutely loved her time here. The staff were outstanding & attentive. When we arrived we were greeted by so many people from manager to kitchen staff and felt so welcomed. The bedroom was spacious for the wheelchair and the whole
home was comforting and clean. My friend thoroughly enjoyed her pamper day!!! Hair facial etc. The choice of food was amazing and being a vegetarian very well catered for. Nothing was a problem and communication skills were amazing! Overall after staying elsewhere she is very happy and excited to return for another stay! She was telling everyone as she left she'd be back! Thank you Carpathia staff for a very relaxing and lovely time in your care home for my friend and employer. She was very happy with your services

Nothing but praise for the staff and facilities at Carpathia Grange. Beautiful surroundings, spacious rooms and communal areas, gorgeous decor, amazing friendly staff. Always approachable and friendly whilst being professional. Any concerns can be raised without problems. I wouldn't hesitate to

We cannot speak highly enough of Carpathia Grange and the amazing team who work here. Our mum has been a resident for over four years and has high complex needs, none of which seem to phase the staff at all. The empathy and support we and our mum has been shown and given over these years is
exemplary. Our main reason for writing this review today is to thank the staff for never, ever 'giving up on mum'. They continue to look for ways to involve her, to keep her safe and to give her some quality of life in extremely challenging circumstances. Their kindness and enthusiasm shines through and we are so grateful for this. An example is the regular Namaste sessions, which are organised and run by the staff. We had the opportunity to join mum for a session and could see the calmness this brought mum. In summary it's the doing those extra things, going the extra mile that we continually see at Carpathia Grange and makes it a special place.

I arrived from being a patient in the general hospital to convalesce and after a fortnights stay I was able to walk again with the help of a frame. Everything was done to help me back to good health. Regular meals, exercises with occupational therapy, visits from district nurse, where needed -
regular drug rounds. Outings to various places of interest and various entertainments during Christmas and New Year. All in all, my stay in Carpathia Grange was a most enjoyable one. The management and care were so good. A happy place to be recommended. All of the carers were lovely people.

I am now in my second year being a resident at Carpathia Grange. From my first day here, I was made very welcome. I enjoy spending time meeting other residents. When I wish to be private, my room is very comfortable. When I need help, as I have done, the staff are very supportive. My family and
friends are made very welcome. I do not think about what I can't do, I think about what I can do, I can do a lot.

My dad resided at Carpathia Grange for three and a half years until he sadly passed away just before Christmas, aged 94. My mum also resides at the home and has been there since July 2023.
The care given to my parents has been outstanding. The staff are lovely and have been totally supportive
throughout, none more-so since dad's passing.
The home is well maintained and always looks as though it's brand new - excellent facilities with many lounges and social areas including cafe and bar/cinema. Food is of a very high standard. So glad we found this home for mum and dad

First impressions on entering Carpathia Grange are of a lovely, clean, bright and welcoming environment. The staff are extremely kind and helpful and treat the residents with great care, devotion and respect. All residents and staff are always immaculately dressed and the whole atmosphere makes for
a very happy and caring home. The ensuite bedrooms are well equipped and spacious and the restaurants are beautiful, serving an excellent choice of meals.
Various activities are organised daily, word games, pamper sessions, films, knit and natter, visiting sings and musicians, plus many more, and special seasonal events marked throughout the year. The harbour coffee lounge always beautifully decorated with the appropriate theme of the season.
My mum has recently needed regular round the clock eye drops and these have been meticulously administered, without fail, in accordance with the hospital and her condition is improving well. I would like to thank all the staff for making Carpathia Grange such a lovely home and when my time comes I hope I can find such a lovely place. Thank you everyone.

So grateful that Mum lives at Carpathia Grange, she enjoys the facilities and it seems the staff genuinely care for her. There's usually something fun happening, and the place itself is lovely, with a nice variety of food and snacks. Team leaders are strong on relationship-building and detailed on
things like care packages and end-of-life care. When it came to financing Mum's care, staff were in our corner and we were able to make our case successfully, which was a huge weight off our minds. Additionally, the fact that Mum has been here for a few years speaks volumes - she feels her life is worthwhile and people are genuinely interested in her. Well done, all!
