Richmond Village Wistaston Nantwich offers an excellent service for families and their loved ones. Care needs are thoroughly assessed and regularly reviewed to ensure the best possible care for its residents. There is a good variety of daily activities for the residents to take part in. The staff
are extremely helpful, professional and patient. Managers and staff communicate well with family members about ongoing care needs. Family members are fully involved in care reviews. I would wholeheartedly recommend RV as a first class professionally managed care home.

Mum has been a resident at Richmond Village Willaston for about 14months now. The carers are fantastic with mum, were very quick to get to know her likes/dislikes, the seniors are very attentive with mums care and provide the family with updates on mum on each visit.
More recently the number of
carers available to the residents has been reduced however, which has made a noticeable affect on their morale in general. Despite this the carers are always very professional, attentive and caring towards residents.
The rooms/accommodation is always extremely clean and all personal care is professionally undertaken and with exteme dignity.
I no longer worry about mum, knowing she has the support, care and comfort she needs. I would ask the facility to not cut any more carers and to look for savings elsewhere if increasing costs are becoming an issue, especially as residents costs increase each year.

Carers are very compassionate and caring towards residents. Staff are very welcoming to visitors and make you feel comfortable. If I have a query, it is dealt with pretty quickly and a resolution is normally found quickly. I do feel that there are not enough carers to help residents at times. My Mum
feels that she has to wait quite a while sometimes when she needs assistance to go to the toilet. Also, there needs to be more care and attention to residents needing dentistry, foot care and eye care. My Mum has been at Willaston for nearly two years and has still not seen a dentist. I had tried a couple of times to ask for her to see one but still it has not happened.
Overall, lovely place to live and I feel comfortable and reassured that Mum's needs are being met.

The staff and care at Richmond Willaston is fantastic. In my experience the staff show care to the whole family when we visit, in addition to the outstanding care shown towards my husband who is a resident in one of the households. The difficult decision to put my husband into a care home has been
made much easier when I can see that the specialist care he is receiving has made him happier than when he was at home. All in all I think that the staff, from the carers and managers to the receptionists do an amazing job.

As a family we have been very lucky to have found a place at Willaston for Mum. It's the nearest thing to her living in her own home. The carers are skilled at encouraging her to mobilise, socialise and eat - all important for those with dementia. The admin and reception staff are reassuring to
residents and are always welcoming and ready to offer moral support to visitors after difficult visits. The maintenance team, cleaners, caterers, entertainment staff and gardeners are dedicated to creating a safe and pleasant environment. Finally the senior carers and managers are always available and ready to help sort out issues, even the tricky ones using their extensive experience. I would unhesitatingly recommend Richmond Villages Willaston.

I found my initial contact with administration helpful and clear on the process. The staff l had contact with were warm, friendly and professional at all times. It was my husband's first stay for Respite. The staff were kind and welcoming to both of us on his arrival. I felt reassured that l could
leave him and not worry.

To focus on one month is unrealistic, over 6 months - this would be my care home of choice. Initial teething problems overcome both in households and care floor. Care staff generally excellent, patient and respectful. Management approachable and helpful. Handover from H/H to care was clumsy, fully
discussed at management level, all now ok. My wife is content and well care for. Thank you.

I have never had any concerns regarding the provision of care for my wife.
It is evident that the staff are very professional and work hard to maintain the stringent criteria that enable the consistent delivery of the highest level of care.

I joined my mother for a Christmas Day dinner at the Grove, the care home restaurant. Our food was fantastic! We were well looked after and the tables were beautifully set out. It was a lovely Christmas meal. My mother's nails had been done and she had been dressed and groomed nicely - as always.
Upstairs, on the nursing care floor, staff were making sure the residents were able to enjoy their Christmas and were very welcoming to families.

I have both my parents at Richmond Village Willaston. One upstairs requiring nursing care and one downstairs who is a little more self sufficient.
I can not fault the care they are both being given. They have been helped to settle in with many of their favourite things and all the staff are eager
to get to know them, their interests and all their little ways.
They are cared for well from basic needs through to being stimulated well. The staff have made us feel welcome and have cared for the whole family when visiting. Nothing is ever too much trouble.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend settling in a loved one who might need some extra support.

We spent a long time looking for the right place that was clean, friendly, interested in the customers needs, yet relaxed and open, where people are treated as people and not an account number.
Equally important was to find a place where the staff are valued by the home for their efforts in
caring for the residents as this is ultimately felt by residents.
Ten out of ten to the whole team who make this a special place for everyone!

Richmond Village is an excellent care home (Willaston). My Mum was made very welcome when we arrived at the care home. The staff were very caring and couldn't do enough for Mum. She had excellent care and was very relaxed and happy, which made us able to enjoy our break (respite). Mum took part in
the activities. I wouldn't hesitate to use Richmond Village Willaston again which is well-run with plenty of staff. Mum really enjoyed her respite stay. Thank you.

Excellent care, meals very good staff, very nice and caring just a lovely care home. I can honestly say it's more like a hotel than a care home and that is a lovely thing about this, the staff are really lovely, they look after the residents with excellent care.

Richmond Villages provide a very good caring environment for my mother. Staff are welcoming and the vast majority show great patience with the dementia residents. The activities and outings are such a bonus. Visiting children are welcomed, as are therapy pets. These have such a positive impact on my
mother's mood; please keep welcoming them in!

I am so pleased with the choice of care home for Mum. All the staff that we meet are so friendly and helpful and seem to have an interest in Mum which is helping her to settle in her new home.
They have a caring and understanding attitude which is so reassuring as Mum was reluctant and fearful of a
change of environment. Mum is now enjoying much more sociable days, taking an interest in others and the activities that the home has to offer. It's all been a positive move.

Home second to none and care very good, I personally find the management and communication very much lacking. In 15 months of relative's residence, the manager has never introduced themselves to me. No introduction/induction was ever offered on taking up residence in the home. I was not routinely
consulted in my relative's care even though they have complex needs from multiple agencies. These things are important to the people responsible for the resident as the home acting with autonomy is alienating and unprofessional; I would have thought that any home should afford the next-of-kin the courtesy of communicating fully with regard to their loved one's needs and status. When my relative declined and needed to move to the higher dependency 'Care Floor' I was only called the day they wanted to move them. I would expect to be given more notice. Then again no introduction to any staff, how they worked, what to expect or given a point of contact; very hard in an end-of-life situation.

My father was a resident in the upstairs rooms as he had dementia and was not mobile last year after a period in hospital after a fall, he was 91 years old.
Although the surroundings are beautiful the care was a disgrace. Please think carefully before taking your loved one here. My dad had 13 falls
within 4 weeks of arriving and was eventually admitted back into hospital with severe dehydration. The hospital staff had mapped the many bruises he had and were shocked at his condition considering he had been admitted from a "care" home.
There were not enough staff and it was not unusual to wait for 20 minutes when we rang the bell if my dad wanted to use a toilet.
My dad then had palliative care at another care home in his last weeks and it was a different experience with staff who gave my dad his dignity.
Downstairs at Richmond may be a different experience if you do not have dementia and are mobile, they do not have the staff who can cope with dementia and use too many agency staff.

The staff here are extraordinary people. Life for the families of residents is uncertain, filled with doubts and fears about what future is left for loved ones. Everyone, from the friendly personal greeting at reception through cleaning staff, catering, carers and nursing to general management,
goes out of their way to make the whole experience as good as it can be. I would count them as friends, offering a shoulder to lean on when times are tough. Thank you all.

It’s a beautiful, calm, relaxing environment. Staff friendly, welcoming, helpful and considerate. Am very happy I moved my dad here, he deserves the best. He is cared for, comfortable and relaxed as he can be, it’s most reassuring to know this.
