View Full Details of Launton GrangeIt has been two months since Mum moved into Launton Grange. As for all new residents, this involved a significant change of lifestyle, but we feel the move was handled carefully and sensitively by the Staff. Mum was warmly welcomed from the outset by Staff and residents alike, which has helped her settle in, make new friends and adapt to her new daily routines. We are particularly impressed by the range of daily activities and special events that are now enriching Mum's life, and photos of her celebrating the recent Women's football win with other residents were a real pleasure to see.
Everything at Launton Grange is designed to make the residents as comfortable and as happy as possible. Realistically nobody wants to be a Care Home resident but the team at Launton Grange make tremendous efforts to take this feeling away. They are always cheerful, patient and caring. The environment is delightful and the quality of the catering is praised by all. Well done Launton Grange!
My dear mum has been a resident of Launton Grange for a year now and this care home comes highly recommended by me and my mum The team of staff there are outstanding (and multi-talented) and many of them have been there a long while which is testament to what a great place it is to work. Each and every one of them is patient, caring and kind and they understand every little thing that is important to a resident They take a great deal of care with every aspect of life at Launton Grange and the regular extra events and celebrations are amazing. The mothers day tea was fabulous, as was the garden party (scones, pimms, ice cream, musical entertainment - what's not to like!) and all these things take a huge amount of organising I recommend this LG to anyone who is looking for a genuinely excellent care home
My mother has been a resident for the last 15 months. The staff are very caring and meet all her needs. It has been a difficult time with my mother having mobility issues and dementia. As her health declines, Launton Granges meet the challenges to give her quality of life. Thank you from all her family.
My has settled in really well in her new surroundings which we can call her new home, the staff go the extra mile for every body. Thank you it's piece of mind knowing mum is well looked after abd safe at Lauton Grange.
It's always good to see my mother looking relaxed and well when we visit. She is very well cared for by lovely cheerful staff. Usually during a phone call with her a member of staff will call in to see her with a drink or snack or to check things are OK. This is very reassuring for me. In March, a lovely mother's day celebration was laid on with beautifully laid tables with cake stands full of tasty cakes etc and bubbly plus very nice music in the background and decorations overhead. We all really enjoyed it. There are plenty of varied activities for the residents to take part in e.g. quizzes, craft making, baking. Visiting entertainment groups include singers and hand bell ringers. Sometimes unusual visitors turn up e.g. a miniature pony! I would definitely recommend Launton Grange to anyone who is looking for a genuinely caring care home.
My mum was a resident at Launton Grange for 2 and a half years. During this time, she received some wonderful care but also care below standard with a high turnover of care staff and management. The facilities are good but some, such as the gardens, are poorly maintained. Activities varied. They have a fantastic programme of musicians who come in, but otherwise, it was a bit hit or miss, again suffering from staff turnover. What really lets Launton Grange down, however, is its communication. Despite only being able to cope with low-dependency care needs, we were not kept informed of my mum's changing care needs and the need to seek greater nursing care elsewhere, even though the decline in her health was steady over a long period. Instead, she was left to languish in the hospital for weeks before being informed she could not return and we would have to find an alternative home at the 11th hour. Luckily for us, it led us to a truly wonderful care home, but the situation was needlessly upsetting and distressing.
I am really impressed by all of the staff who helped Dad to settle in at Launton Grange. They listened to his requests and needs and very patiently dealt with them. The staff constantly encourages residents to take part or maybe just listen to the entertainment they provide on a regular basis.
I have been here for over two years - I enjoy being here - safe and well cared for. Wish we were kept up to date with day to day goings on!
Since my mother has been a resident of Launton Grange, she has been very well looked after. Dementia has regretfully made it necessary for her to have full-time support and despite her extreme reluctance to be in residential care which she has made obvious. The staff have been exceptionally kind and patient to both my mother and myself. I would definitely recommend Launton Grange to any future resident.
My mother-in-law has been at Launton for over two years and is very happy there. The management and care team have built a fantastic relationship with her and she feels very happy and well looked after. We travel for long periods and can happily leave her in the team's care safe in the knowledge that she is well looked after whilst we are away. The chef and her kitchen team are creating excellent food and my mother-in-law enjoys both her lunchtimes in the dining room and meals in her room when she's feeling less social. We are very happy we chose Launton Grange to provide a safe and happy environment for my mother-in-law's long term care.
A really wonderful place. All the staff are so kind and caring, and the residents are so nice to each other as well. The food is good, and the standard of cleanliness is outstanding. It's a hard decision to leave a parent in the care of others when you live as far away as I do, but I am absolutely sure that our dear mother is happy and well cared for at Launton Grange. A huge thank you to all the lovely staff.
Leaving a 'loved one' in the care of others is a monumental decision but we as a family have found the experience so positive and seamless. There is a wonderful caring atmosphere shown by all the members of staff and Launton Grange goes above and beyond to help their residents settle in and adapt to their new environment. Mum is often chatting to the carers and enjoys their company. She joins in with the singing on Tuesdays and enjoys the lovely meals and cups of tea on the go! Everywhere is beautifully presented and clean - rooms very comfortable. It is a well-managed home and can't speak highly enough. Many thanks.
My experience of my relative being a resident at Launton Grange has all been very good.
Having a family member in care is difficult, but when the care is as amazing as it is at the Launton Grange Care Home, your mind is easily put to rest. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome as a guest visiting, it is immaculate throughout and you just know your family member is in safe caring hands! It’s home from home and the manager has the best relationship with her staff and residents and you can just tell how much she wants to be there and how it is so much more than a job because of how much she cares. Nothing is too much trouble, she is welcoming and professional and instantly makes you feel safe. This was my third visit and you can see the job the manager is in brings out the best in her, so both her staff team and the residents get the person-centred care they require and need! Today was my god Mum's 81st birthday, the manager came in on her day off she made sure everything was set up and perfect! It was amazing! Highly recommend the Launton Grange care Home, 10/10.
All the staff at Launton Grange are true professionals. The care that they showed to my mother over the two-and-a-half years of her residency was excellent. The kindness and compassion shown to my mother and the family in her last few months were above and beyond. We will be forever grateful.
I have enjoyed my time living at Launton Grange. The staff are caring and full of fun.
I am very happy living at Launton Grange with all the carers at the home.
I enjoy staying here. The staff are kind and always respond with courtesy and respect.
My uncle has only been at Launton Grange for a few weeks. He has settled well. It has been a big change for him, but I have seen him more relaxed each time I visit, especially yesterday after he enjoyed his haircut in the salon and a nice glass of wine with lunch. He wasn't keen to move as he was settled down South in another home, but I now see and feel the move has been just what he needed, and able to see his family much more. Thanks to Launton Grange and all the staff, who are excellent.
