We recently arranged a short respite stay at Hen Cloud for my mum, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment she arrived, the staff made her feel completely welcome and at ease, especially Richard, which was such a relief as she had been quite anxious beforehand.
The care and attention she received were outstanding. Every member of staff was kind, patient, and genuinely caring-nothing ever seemed too much trouble. It was clear they took the time to understand her needs and preferences, which made a huge difference to her comfort and confidence.
The home itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had a really warm, homely atmosphere. Meals, which were varied and freshly prepared, were excellent and she loved having the option to join in with activities or simply relax in her room.
What stood out most for me was the peace of mind it gave our family. Knowing she was safe, happy, and well looked after meant we could truly relax during the break.

Hen Cloud House is truly amazing the building is amazing and the standard to cleanliness is first class. The staff are so kind and caring, and nothing is to much trouble for them.
Vicky the receptionist and Richard the Deputy Manager are always so welcoming.

I find Hen Cloud satisfactory despite my sister's condition; they are always willing to talk to us and discuss any problems. The cleanliness is top class. The food is excellent.

We find Hen Cloud very satisfactory, especially the staff, and since the new management, who are Kristen and Robert, it's been much, much better. I do think the ironing could be better.

Although my mother in law can be awkward the staff always remain cheerful ,helpful and positive.
They always try to get her involved in all the activities and events taking place.
All staff are really helpful , she is well looked after.

Hen Cloud House is a lovely building which invites you inside.Mum has spent over 2 years at hencloud.She is very well cared for by amazing staff.I would like to see an increase of staff to help support all.The managers have changed and they are certainly helping to create a welcoming
atmosphere.Christmas day was a credit to all.Mum is now looking forward to better weather where she can access the pretty gardens.

Staff are helpful and friendly, convering asking for and receiving a coffee or tea. I would certainly make a donation, please note! One has not been asked for.

I am very impressed with the care and kindness shown to my Dad. He is very happy when he comes.

Overall experience is good. Staff are friendly and approachable. Relaxed atmosphere on visiting and welcoming. Offered drinks and joined in meal times. Updated with any changes by conversations.

Mum only went in for respite care but she enjoyed it so much she asked to stay. She has a lovely room with en-suite wet room ,which is kept clean and tidy. Mum really enjoys the food which I know myself is lovely and tasty as myself and my sister have had lunch with mum .
This staff are always
helpful ,happy and take care of mum in a really polite and respectful way.
We feel mum is in a safe and secure environment.
Her great granddaughter commented it was lovely like a hotel when she visited.

Overall we are very happy with the care and support Dad is given in the home.
The staff are all very lovely.
There's been a couple of occasions where he has been damp when one of us have arrived at the home I feel like more regular checks asking if he needs a wee would prevent this as sometimes
he doesn't remember to ask.
Also we appreciate due to staffing and risk assessments that time to do physio with users is restricted, but more one on one time getting up from the chair by himself and some walking would benefit and keep him moving, but fully understand Health and Safety regulations and convenience and quickness of using a hoist.
Also i understand this is due to staffing but making sure he is got out of bed every morning and not left in there to have his breakfast when people have visited who have had to see him Still in bed rather than him sitting out and dressed.
These aren't criticisms but things we've noticed and suggestions for improvements.
Aware of staffing issues.

The home is always clean and tidy. The carers are always friendly and willing to help if I ask. My mother is always presented well with matching clothes and always clean.

Hen Cloud is a lovely home, that my nan is very settled living in. The weekly activities she really enjoys along with the food. The staff are very friendly and will help with anything my nan asks for.

A lovely care home with up to date decor. It is kept very clean and there is plenty of food provided to the residents. A team of senior and junior carers works well, with any medical issues supported by regular visits of a GP.

I have been searching for a long time all over Staffordshire Moorlands and I felt very pleased to find Hen Cloud House in Leek. Entering the house I was very impressed by the nice reception offering tea/coffee and to show me around the house.
The cleanness is impressive, the colours of carpets and
furniture, the layout of the bathroom, it was the first time that I have seen tablecloths, chairs and decoration so well matched. Congratulations to the staff.

My sister moved into Hen Cloud two and half years ago and she was made welcome and comfortable straight away. All the staff are very friendly and caring and she soon became part of the Hen Cloud family.
She enjoys the lovely food served to her in lovely surroundings and takes part in all the
activities and entertainment offered to residents.
She is enjoying life to the full - Thank you to all the staff at Hen Cloud.

I have been very pleased with the care and support my Mum has received, she has settled in well and enjoys the many activities in which she is encouraged to take part in. The staff are very nice and really seem to care about residents. My Mum's clothes and things always find their way back to her
and her room is kept tidy and clean. She seems to enjoy the food, especially cake and fruit in the afternoons. Her care needs are reviewed and adapted when needed, it was a difficult decision to put my Mum in a care home but it was the right choice and I'm glad I chose Hen Cloud.
