I came with my wife Ann who has Parkinsons on respite care for 4 weeks and we stayed in a double room.
We have had a joyful experience made so by the staff and the ambience of the home which is beautiful and spacious. All our needs were met by friendly caring staff, nothing was too much trouble.
The home offered a high level of comfort and a relaxed atmosphere, the banter between residents and staff was lovely to be part of.
The care given to residents by staff during the day and night was excellant and reassuring. We would certainly consider another visit for respite care in the future

It is a very difficult decision to leave your home and move into a care home not only for the person themselves but also those around them. However, at 93 and with mum losing her eyesight we all knew she could not remain at home alone. Various options were considered including home care or
residential care. We visited several homes, but immediately mum and I entered Bateman House it felt right, more homely. Mum immediately said on leaving if I am to leave home, I want to go there. We arranged a four-week trial period but after two weeks mum had decided she wanted to stay. All the staff from the carers, kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, front of house and not least the wellbeing team have looked after mum so well and she cannot praise them enough. I have also got to know them all and would like to say how grateful I am to every one of them for making a difficult and challenging transition so smooth. Thank you.

An exceptionally well appointed care home, the facilities are excellent and far exceed those of every other home I have visited. Mum first went for a respite visit and has stayed there. The events organised and trips are excellent too and the staff team are always welcoming and helpful.

A friend has moved into Bateman House, Uttoxeter. We were involved with the whole provess from initial visits through the admission process to taking up residence.
The tour of the home was comprehensive and all questions were answered. The admission process was very thorough and we were impressed
with how much it centred on our friend's requirements, needs and personal preferences.
Everyone has been very friendly and welcoming each time we have visited. There is a strong emphasis on providing appropriate activities for each resident. As to the property itself and the facilities I can only say wow! It would rival a 5-star hotel. The decor in the bedrooms and public areas is beautifully done. There are lots of separate areas for residents and visitors to sit including a coffee room at reception. There is also a cinema room where residents can enjoy films or competing in on-line quizzes with residents on other homes within the group.
We were very happy to assist our friend in finding such and impressive and friendly care home.

We assisted a friend on selecting and moving into Bateman House, Uttoxeter. Our first impressions were very favourable. The home is bright, modern and beautifully decorated throughout. The bedrooms are spacious and well appointed and those on the ground floorr have direct access to a good sized
secure garden. The ability to move freely between inside and outside was important to our friend.
We were very pleased to see the care taken to ensure that our friends needs and wishes were thoroughly explored as part of the admission process.
Our friend was very keen to find a home where there were plenty of activities to keep them occupied throughout the day. Bateman house certainly fits the bill for this with morning, afternoon and evening activities plus external outings.
There are lots of places for the residents to get together as a group or to enjoy some quiet time for themselves and guests. The availability of a private dining room to host small gatherings with family and friends was particularly impressive.
