View full details of Cherry Grove Nursing HomeMy Son Darren took me to see Susan for the carol service. On arrival, we went to her room because Twas too loud for her. I chatted with her about carol singing and we went and sat outside room in the corridor. She had a great time even singing to some of the carols.. Afterwards we went to the Dinning root where a very well presented buffet was there for all.Susan liked the sandwiches, and enjoyed herself. Alas when leaving to go home I noticed one of Susan's combination sets, her favourite. I hope that I have made a mistake but I any find the combination set at home, in her locker. I could be mistaken ..
I would highly recommend the Cherry Grove Care Home for their excellent standards of care and welcoming atmosphere. There is a large bright reception , lounge, dining area, several courtyards, a hairdressing salon and a laundry. There are many activities organised by the staff such as music and games and everyone is encouraged to join in. The Care Home offers a high level of medical care with a nurse available 24 hours a day which is very reassuring. I have found that the nurses work very hard with the local doctors surgery to meet the resident's medical needs - the nurses have helped my mother to manage her pain effectively which has improved my mother's quality of life enormously. Also the carers have assisted me in choosing a suitable wheelchair which has enabled my mother to move more easily to the dining room and hairdresser. All the carers are so kind and gentle and make every effort to make things easier for the residents.
After recently moving into Cherry Grove Care Home, I am extremely pleased with how well my mother-in-law is settling in. The Care Home have been absolutely great. They are so supportive to her and our family, and nothing is too much trouble. She is happy there, and is eating really well. Cherry Grove staff keep me informed about every step of her care, and go out of their way to help.
