A beautiful home with lovely staff/managers. We came to have a tour before a short stay after a small operation and were impressed with the feeling of being in a 5 star hotel with trained staff who looked after and interacted with the residents. Everyone was very attentive to our needs. A small
medical issue was dealt with calmly. The food was excellent, with snacks and drinks available at all times. An impressive care home.

My Mum joined castle lodge a couple of weeks ago. She seems to be doing really well, she seems happy, more sovialising and looks much better in herself. Mum has definitely enjoyed that various activities. The staff I have met are wonderful and the building itself is really nice.

I have had a very happy two weeks at Castle Lodge. The staff have been helpful and a pleasure to know. My room was very comfortable. My bed helped my neck. When the time comes I would be more than happy to live here.

The management went above and beyond to admit my mother-in-law on a Friday afternoon. All the staff were kind and considerate.

Moving into a care environment has been a huge step for my relative who has been encouraged to ask for help as needed but prompted to increase their independence as able. Everyone has been very kind, caring & supportive to my relative but also to family and friends.

Overall a super experience. Theres no visiting restrictions which is good. Staff very friendly, especially Chris. Furnishings beautiful. Not sure on the food as my friend doesn't seem to happy about it! Outside furniture would be a good idea as weather gets hotter every year.

The moment my sister & I stepped through the doors of Castle Lodge, we could tell this was something special & appearances did not disappoint. The staff are welcoming, delightful, caring & kind, obviously taking a lead from the top. Facilities are above & beyond with a comfortable & homely feel. My
husband is in residence at the moment & if things change with him from day to day, I can be sure that he has the best possible care & that I am kept in the loop. Very well done Castle Lodge.

Everyone is very friendly, welcoming with a smile. During mum's stay we are happy & confident that she is well cared for & safe. She has celebrated her birthday during her stay & was presented with a beautiful cake with everyone singing to her, which brought a smile to her face. Thank you.

The entire team here at Castle Lodge Care Home have been so warm, positive and empathetic that I have felt so supported in the process of transitioning my mum into the home. Staff have been exceptionally clear communicators with me and my mum, which she appreciates very much. Kindness,
professionalism and empathy seem to be at the core of the team.

If you require a 'blueprint' for a residential care home you can find no better example than Castle Lodge. Staff are well qualified but most importantly show a genuine warmth towards their residents. They are proactive in ensuring that any moments of anxiety or uncertainty are met with calming,
professional care. The atmosphere is positive with a gentle 'buzz' and there is a sense of community. Superb, hands-on leadership sets the tone. I wish that everyone requiring care could have a Castle Lodge in their life!

The overall impression when entering Castle Lodge is one of warmth & welcome. Every member of staff, no matter what their role or rank goes outof their way to greet and engage. The residents are treated with patience and in a way that preserves their dignity and autonomy. The administration of
drugs/medication is meticulous

I find Castle Lodge a breath of fresh air and an absolute pleasure to visit, the staff are so friendly, a fabulous ambience and a lovely equipped dining room, sitting area and bedroom. I have visited many care homes as a visitor and as a PTS driver and can say this care home is by far a head and
shoulders above the rest. Congratulations to all involved in making Castle Loge so excellent.

I required a short respite stay and after viewing the homes in the area, I found that Castle Lodge stood head & shoulders amongst its peers from the initial viewing with the customer relations manager I was reassured that I would be comfortable and cared for. The home, rooms and food are exceptional
and every staff member pleasant and caring. I shall certainly book another stay when needed. Thank you all.

As a family, we couldn't be happier with the care our loved one receives at Castle Lodge Care Home in Mere. From the very first visit, the tour was incredibly attentive and unhurried, with staff taking the time to answer all our questions and really listen to our concerns. That immediately put us at
ease.
The team are warm, approachable, and genuinely caring, and they make a real effort to get to know residents as individuals. The home has a calm, welcoming atmosphere and truly feels like a home rather than just a care setting. We're very grateful for the care and support provided and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Castle Lodge to other families.
