When visiting my sister, she has always seemed very happy. This last week, she was quite upset about something that had happened the previous week. I had a word with the manager, and she said she would talk it out with my sister and hopefully make things right. I do hope so.

I found that Hyland Nursing Home is always very welcoming.
Today, they supplied us with a meal so that we could sit with my aunt. She was a bit upset about the way she was spoken to by a member of staff the previous week. We mentioned it to the registered manager, and she was going to speak with my
aunt once we left and hopefully sort it.

My aunty is very well looked after.
Always nicely dressed and very settled.
Staff always very friendly and helpful.
Know that all aunts' needs are met.

I feel my mother is well looked after. She appears happy and settled. The staff are always pleasant and welcoming and look after us when we visit.

Hylands provides excellent care. My father is happy here, he says care, personal care and food are excellent. Our only concern is that there could be more stimulation.

My mother has been at Hylands for about 6 months. She is very well looked after, clean and well fed. The staff are lovely and always very helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending Hylands to anyone looking for a safe and friendly home.

The staff are always attentive to mum, ensuring she is comfortable and has what she needs. We are always greeted warmly, by the same people which is reassuring for us all, as this brings consistency.

My mother has been at Hylands House for about 17 months. The staff are exemplary and take care of the residents as if they were their own. The home works well for us all. She certainly feels as though her dignity is respected, which is a major contributor. Mum eats well and looks forward to
mealtimes. I find all of the staff lovely, always helpful, friendly and chatty. Its an enormous decision to make for your loved one to be looked after in a home, but this one works for us.

Mum came to Hylands House for some respite care in December She has settled in and is now a permanent resident. I cannot fault the care she is receiving. All the staff are wonderful, all so caring and kind and cheerful.
Life is now much easier, knowing Mum is well looked after and cared for.

We are incredibly grateful for the care and compassion the team have shown to my mum. The staff clearly have a deep understanding of her needs and always treat her with patience, dignity and genuine kindness.
What has meant just as much to us as a family is the way my dad has been welcomed and
supported. The staff have always treated him with warmth and respect, taking the time to talk with him and make him feel included. They have gently nurtured him through what is an emotional time, and that kindness has meant a great deal.
The staff themselves are simply wonderful - kind, caring and consistently considerate. Every interaction we've had has been positive, and it's clear that they are not only highly professional but also genuinely lovely people. The atmosphere they create makes a huge difference, and we feel very fortunate that my mum is in such good hands.

My mother was in care at Hylands for almost two years until she passed in October. The staff were fabulous throughout. Always caring, patient, kind and respectful. Nothing was too much trouble and I had a huge amount of admiration for how they treated the residents and how well they knew them. The
staff were the same throughout her stay so we got to know them well, and there was a real personal touch; it felt like a family. I had not appreciated the care and attention that is an attendant part of end-of-life care, but the staff then were incredible. We were very blessed that mum was in such good hands. Linda H

Mum has been a resident @ Hylands House for about 10 weeks , the team work together to provide a good standard of care for mum , which at times must be challenging.
We are always met with kindness and consideration from the manager & her team.
It has been a relief to find a home that is close by
for dad to visit , a caring home that gives us a sense of relief, knowing mum is cared for . That we can visit easily.
The home has a good relationship with the GP practice , / District Nursing team and have been very efficient in managing any health issues. Which again provides us with confidence in the care mum receives.

The management and staff were very friendly and helpful.
My stepmother was always dressed nicely, with added jewellery and lipstick.
Food was always available and looked tasty.
Hylands House is not the smartest looking care home, no cinemas or bars, but the care is excellent.

Staff are all very good and care about the residents. I have no concerns that my family member is being looked after and that all needs are met. I am kept well informed and advised early of any concerns.

My mother has resided at Hylands for nearly a year now. She rates the food very highly, good traditional home cooked dishes and the staff are really friendly.
My mother is very happy at Hylands and treat her and her family with up most respect.

My mother was at Hylands House Care Home for about 8 months before she passed away in December.
I chose Hylands House as it had been personally recommended by friends who have had family as residents.
My mother was always very well taken care of and everyone was extremely kind.
One of the
great things about Hylands House is that its a very small intimate environment. The carers really got to know my Mother, and were very good at remembering personal details. This was especially important as she had dementia and the familiarity of the same carers each day was so important for her. My father visiting my mother nearly everyday, and the team were very kind and supportive to him too.

My dad is a resident of the care of Hylands, he is always well looked after. The staff care about him and his welfare and nothing is too much trouble. I have no concerns that he is in the right place for him.

The management team are super supportive not just to the residents but the associated families too. Following the amazing care for my grandfather who is no longer with us it is a great comfort having my grandmother in the same home.

Very satisfied with all the support and staff are excellent. The care home is very well run and my wife has settled in very well. Food is excellent and general care is excellent. Facilities are very good and my wife has settled in a very short space of time. Our daughter is very satisfied with the
care provided.
