My Father has spent just over the last 2 years at thatcham court, he had dementia the care he received was second to none, the staff were always very friendly and helpful they could never do enough for my Dad or me when i came to visit, they did more than go the extra mile they genuinely cared about
him and for him, i will always be very grateful to the staff at thatcham court.

My husband has been at Thatcham Court nearly 4 years and in all that time I have had no worries. The care staff and the 'behind the scene' staff have been great. If there is a problem I am told face to face or over the phone. I am glad my husband is at Thatcham Court.

My dad has been in the home since May 2022 even though his health has gone down hill the care home has been outstanding from the day he moved in, there is nothing bad to say about the staff or cleanliness of the home. If I ever get put into a home I hope it is as good as Thatcham Court.

Staff always friendly and respectful, on occasions seems to be an insufficient number of carers so residents have been unattended in the lounge for a short period of time.

My mother in law seems very happy. She always says that she is well looked after. The staff are attentive to her needs and keep a good eye on her health and welfare. The staff have a family caring attitude that supports her general feeling of well-being.
The toilet/bathroom in her room has been
'out of order' for a number of weeks. There is a sign on the door. There may be a reason for this (prevent her from using it when alone), but I have not been aware of the reason.

We try to visit my mother at least once every 2-3 weeks. I try to have a brief chat with her every day, but sometimes no one is answering the phone. She feels comfortable and relaxed with her carers. I feel she should be eating better, but I am not sure why she is not eating well.

My mother moved to Thatcham Court Care Home from another care home as the mental health team advised she move to a nursing home with dementia specialism. The professionalism, knowledge, skill, and compassion that has been shown to my mother and our family has been outstanding. I really wish that my
mother had started her care home journey here, as being able to progress, if needed, from residential to nursing within the same home would have been beautiful and a lot less stressful.

I am very happy with all the staff and how they care for my mum. Its her birthday today and the chef has made mum a beautiful cake she was quite overwhelmed that she had been so lovingly thought of. My family and I never have any concerns about her care the staff are always caring, thoughtful and
respectful.

I am very happy to know my friend, is in Thatcham Court. She was living at a retirement facility but moved to your care home last year. I love Thatcham Court in all manner of ways and including the safety/security aspect. During my visits, I am very pleased at the level of care you provide with my

Would like to say a big thank you to all the staff for looking after our Mum during respite. This enabled us to have a holiday and took away all stress of worrying how mum was. Thank you.

From the moment I arrived I was impressed, reception was courteous whilst thorough in ascertaining the validity of my visit. Very reassuring my mother is in safe hands with a very efficient workforce. I left feeling happily reassured Mum is in safe hands.

My husband came to this lovely home late February, beginning of March. Unfortunately he was not there long as he had a couple of trips to the hospital with a couple of infections. Whilst at Thatcham, the caring was was excellent. They did what the could to make him comfortable especially in his
final days. My family and I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to the team for looking after my husband, father and grandfather.

For the past two years, our mother has been a resident here, and the care she has received has been nothing short of exceptional. Now, as we navigate the incredibly difficult journey of palliative care, we have found comfort and reassurance in the unwavering dedication of the entire team.
Every
single staff member has been exactly what we needed-compassionate, supportive, attentive, and highly skilled. Their diligence and professionalism shine through in every moment, yet it's their genuine kindness and warmth that have truly made all the difference. We have never had to question the level of care our mother has received-it has been outstanding from every department, every shift, every individual.
This experience has taught us that the small things really don't matter when the big things-dignity, respect, and love-are handled so beautifully. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to each and every one of you. Your work is truly invaluable.

Thatcham Court has provided a caring home for my Mum. They have been very kind and considerate of her needs and have kept the family well-informed of any concerns. I have felt included in any decisions and Mum has benefitted from this approach in my opinion. Thank you.

My mother stayed at this care home for nearly four years and was very happy there. Any small concerns over that time were dealt with quickly and efficiently. I've always found the staff to be professional, caring, welcoming and available to talk to when you need them. The care home has a nice garden
area and the activities on Clover when Mum could take part were varied and fun. I would recommend this care home and the staff on both Clover and Bluebell floors not forgetting the reception staff!
My only negative which would be with BUPA itself would be the fees and in particular, the percentage they went up every year which I've found were considerably more than other care homes. I cannot fault the staff at Thatcham Court however and wish them the best for the future.

Although he is less able to mobilise and chat the staff are very good at making him comfortable and keeping him happy. They pop in regularly, even when I am visiting him. He is comfortable, happy and at home in the
care home and has many friends, staff and other residents. Thank you.

Reception staff courteous and welcoming. Poppy staff - caring and attentive and there seems to be good interaction with staff and residents. Good hygiene levels and the floors smell fresh. Did not see food so can't comment. Keep up the good work.

Visiting my friend in the home, she arrived here on Tuesday 2nd of July 2024. Lovely welcoming staff, all smiles. My friend was happy, it pleased me to see her smiling. I asked her if she was pleased to be there and she said yes, very happy. Comfortable room, very clean, all facilities and safety
and security around, all doors with an entry code. Very happy the staff are always ready to answer your requests. In all a lovely home. I hope when the time comes that I will need to be looked after this is where I would like to be.

Everyone is genuinely lovely. We chose Thatcham Court Care Home as it was local and all the family can visit - even the dog! The facilities and the people make this a special place and we know that dad/grandad is being well looked after.
