On every occasion I have visited my Dad the staff have been pleasant and welcoming. My Dad seems very happy and has also made friends with other residents. Although sometimes we have experienced a bit of a wait to be let in, because staff are busy. They always ensure we have signed in. We cannot
fault the security of staff and residents at the home. My Dads room has always appeared clean and comfortable and odour free. We always get offered tea/coffee with a biscuit when we visit. The staff are always very friendly attentive and ready to answer any questions we have regarding our Dads health and well being. Personally, my family and i are very happy with the care my Dad is receiving.

I like to see my wife as often as I can, and always greeted with a friendly smile by staff. Very impressed, always spotlessly clean. My daughter and myself are pleased with the way she is cared for, and my wife says she'd happy living there. The food is very nice. We think it's a care home to be
proud of. with excellent management in a pretty well kept location.

Mum moved to Woodstock last year from another care home. On the whole she has settled well. Her advancing dementia is coped with brilliantly. The staff are so supportive to both Mum and the family.
Mum is often reluctant to participate in home activities but is always encouraged to do so.
We
are more than happy with mums care

My step dad is in your care. I visited today with my mum. I work in a care home myself and was surprised that there was no receptionist to greet us. Nobody asked us to sign in so that you knew we were in the building in the event of a fire. It was afternoon tea time when we arrived. The tea and
coffee looked horrible. My step dad was dressed in a dirty top. His glasses case was on the window cill with no glasses in them so who knows where they are! The care staff just said they've probably ended up in the laundry as that happens all the time! Not good enough. His room smelt of urine and the bed was unmade. The home wasn't very welcoming at all and needs a good refurb. There is was also a fire door wedged open, how do you practice fire evacuation? I spoke to a few residents who seemed happy but sometimes it's just the little things parking bad as well. Dining room in darkness not very welcoming. No menus on display showing what they were having to eat today.

Both my uncle and auntie are resident at Woodstock. I only am able to visit weekends, so I do not get to see the managerial and admin staff. I do see the day care staff and I am pleased to say they are always happy and attentive, and always offer me a cup of tea! Food is plentiful and of good
quality. It's nice to see that efforts are made to keep the residents entertained with various activities in particular the pet visits always bring joy, I see lots of smiley faces in the photo's.

As the niece of residents at Woodstock Care Home, I've been really pleased with the level of care and attention provided. The staff are consistently kind, professional, and genuinely caring, which gives our family great peace of mind. What stands out most is the variety of activities available to
residents. There's always something going on to keep them engaged, active, and social - from creative sessions to group games and events. It's wonderful to see my aunt and uncle involved and enjoying themselves in such a supportive environment. I would definitely recommend Woodstock Care Home to other families looking for a safe, warm, and engaging place for their loved ones.

My Relatives have been residing at Woodstock since February of this Year. It has been a difficult time for them in adjusting to everything that they knew being turned on its head.
The Staff one and all are very Special they work tirelessly to attend to the Comfort and Wellbeing of all the Residents
sometimes in very trying circumstances. I know my Relatives have settled there because of the unwavering Support the Staff give to them. Everything they need or want is catered to.
From a Relatives point of view it means that I can rest easy in the knowledge that they are being cared for as if they were the Carers own Relatives it is very comforting. So a big thankyou to everyone you have made my life a lot easier.

Mum has been at Woodstock for nearly a year now with advanced Alzheimer's, it's awful watching her disappear. The staff are very caring, so I feel Mum is really well looked after and treated with respect. They all know her well and show affection for her, which is very comforting. What a very
difficult and skilled job they have, caring for people with dementia, but they do it well, and with a smile.

My father has been a resident at Woodstock since April. From my experience, the staff have been really supportive to my mother and I. They helped my father settle in and kept me informed. They have been good in understanding the difficulties in moving from self-funded to financial support from NCC.
The building does look dated but is kept clean. Rooms are the same, dated but clean. I cannot comment or the food not having tried it myself. Security is OK for residents. The chances of a resident working out the door code is low. I would prefer to see a swipe card and pin code system mitigate against this risk.

I visit Woodstock on a fortnightly basis with my therapy dog, Larry. We are always greeted by the activities coordinator who, like the other day staff are always pleased to see us.
Most of the residents enjoy a cuddle with Larry and its lovely to hear about their pets. The day staff that I
encounter engage with the residents and there is a notice board displaying activities throughout the week.
I understand that the manager is making changes to the gardens in time for the warmer weather when the residents can sit outside, however at the moment this is work in progress and some lovely plants and trees have been removed to make way for the new design. The gardens and those areas which have been left for wildlife are a haven for birds, butterflies and other wildlife.
My ratings for Woodstock are based on my experience of fortnightly visits. I have virtually no contact with management, hence my one star rating.
In general the home is satisfactory but needs modernising and gardens need more attention. The front of the building is very difficult for parking when visiting. There has been a new manager for a while and small changes have been noticed for the better. Still not enough carers when my aunt pushes
her buzzer for help, can be over 30 minutes before a carer comes which is not satisfactory as she cannot weight bear and has been occasionally forgotten for her meals.

Very happy to find a home that my mother is happy in. She is very much 'at home' and comfortable, especially with the standard of care and attention she receives from the wonderful staff at Woodstock. I have nothing but praise for them in every respect.

Having visited my friend many times, there has not been any occasion when all the staff have not shown dedication and kindness to all the residents even, on occasion, under difficult circumstances. The activities are planned to be inclusive and interesting for all and each resident is given an
opportunity to decline, participate or watch, thus allowing everyone a chance to have life-enhancing experiences and things to look forward to on a daily basis. There is always a feeling of positivity in the home and most importantly each day brings something to live for. Thank you to all the dedicated staff.

My mum was discharged to Woodstock in February 2024 from hospital, following the early stage of a late-onset Dementia diagnosis.
During Mum's short 6 week stay, she was treated with the utmost respect by all the team at Woodstock, in a friendly caring environment. The caring staff went above and
beyond with Mum's needs, and also for our visits.
Woodstock provides a clean environment with excellent food, all freshly prepared on-site to cater for every taste. Mum had her own room, with en-suite facilities, personal items and furniture welcomed.
Lots of activities were available, regular and well organised to involve all those who wished to join in. Singers, live bands, and amazing animal visits that Mum enjoyed so much.
Woodstock always kept us informed and updated on Mum's situation as she settled into new surroundings.
We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all at Woodstock, truly a great team of caring and compassionate people.

My mother has been at Woodstock since August 2021. The staff have been absolutely amazing in the care they give to my mum. Mum has ongoing health needs and the staff have gone above the call of duty to help her at all times. I can’t praise the staff enough for all the activities they have throughout
the year. Mum has been very happy since she moved into the home. It’s a huge relief to know that mum is being taken care of by kind and professional staff.
Thank you so much.

My mum was discharged to Woodstock from hospital after breaking her hip earlier this year. She was welcomed by the very warm and caring staff there who never failed to impress me with their kindness. The home is always clean, the food is excellent plenty and of it. The staff are quick to get medical
attention if needed and always keep me informed. I am always welcomed when visiting and get regular updates on how mum is. Mum's dementia coupled with her sometimes quite severe anxiety can be distressing for her but the lovely staff are always there for her with their kindness and care to alleviate her worries. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they are just a wonderful group of dedicated caters. Mum enjoys the activities and loves to see dogs when they visit. She always tells me how she loves the staff and how kind they are. Thank you Woodstock Care Home.
