My mum is currently in Crossley House care home. Me and my sister cannot fault it. They care so much for mum. They can't do enough for mum. They look after her so well with her medications, washing, keeping her entertained with activities etc They always bring her fresh laundered clothes back very
quickly. She has a fresh jug of juice brought to her room daily and tea coffee etc.

My mum went into care in January 2026 after previously being in another home which we found unsatisfactory. Since then she is a different person at Crossley House. The care is fabulous, the carers are friendly and willing to assist with anything. The food is excellent, with a great variety. The room
is cleaned regularly and kept very tidy. Great activities to participate in if you want to.

We moved Mum into Crossley House early January 2026 from another care facility that wasn't meeting her needs.
Mum is in her 90's, has a degree of dementia and is virtually blind due to age related macular.
To say that there has been a transformation in only 6 weeks, is a bit of an understatement.
Mum now enjoys the privacy and comfort of her own room (when she wants it) and is eating well again after a spell of significant weight loss. The food is very good and Mum is enjoying it.
Sometimes Mum realises she is no longer living in her own home and Crossley House have let us deck out her room with many of her personal and favourite things
Most importantly Mum tells us that the carers are kind and patient and that is exactly how we've found them when visiting. We have regular chats with Julie Allen the Manager and found her to be very competent, friendly and supportive
The family is happy that Mum is now in good hands and as content as she can be. She's settled nicely and we worry less

Mum has been in Crossly House since 12 Dec '25 and we feel she has settled really well. We are very impressed and happy with Crossly House. The care is wonderful, the staff are amazing and they genuinely care for the residents. Amada on reception, Julie the manger, Julu the administator, Debbie and
Carole the activities coordinators are absolutely brilliant! There is always something going on and they have lots of trips out in the minibus. Crossly House is very warm and welcoming. The rooms are cosy and clean and we are very happy with mums care.

Dad went into Crossley on an assessment visit after 2 weeks respite. We were welcomed with friendly, caring people. We were reassured immediately that he would be very happy there. Over the period dad was in there he was very happy, loved the staff, enjoyed most meals especially the porridge. He
enjoyed activities such as bingo, quizzes, singers, events, parties i could go on. We were always welcome on any and every visit. You could tell the staff genuinely liked and cared for him dearly. There was always someone to ask about any changes etc. They all definitely knew about his care. We can honestly say I feel that the staff although professional became our friends through the time Dad spent there. Even at the end they were respectful of dad's and the family's wishes. Ensuring he was well cared for and yes I think I can say it 'loved".
Thankyou to all the staff involved in dad's care we will really miss our visits to Crossley House.

I wanted to express my sincere thanks for the ongoing excellent care afforded to my precious Godmother. She is so well cared for especially as she is so reliant on everyone for all her life now. I know she is safe and happy and enjoys the activities especailly the music. Thank you all so much for
keeping her safe.

We visited mum yesterday. We showed her photos of all the activities she has been involved in which are posted on social media.
It is lovely to see the photos and really helps us to engage her in conversation.
When we saw the picture of her stroking the little pony which visited the home she said,
"Oh yes, they always organise such interesting things for us!"
Mum is very happy. She loves all the exercise classes. And the staff are really caring and kind.

My mother who suffered from dementia lived at Crossley House for her last couple of years and we couldn't have asked for a better place for her.
Right up to the end the care and love shown to her was brilliant, as a family we couldn't have asked for more.
My father is now living there and once
again the care given is second to none.
Any issues flagged up to the manageress are addressed immediately.
The cleanliness and food and care given is flawless.
Would highly recommend Crossley House to anyone who wants nothing but the best for their loved one.

My mother-in-law has advanced dementia and has been a resident at Crossley House for over two years. We moved her there from another home which was unsatisfactory, and right from day one we were hugely impressed by the care given to her and the support given to us. Staff are always friendly and
welcoming and eager to help. My mother-in-law has complex needs but they are always patient and kind. The programme of activities for residents is excellent, and since we live at a distance we very much appreciate the regular photos and updates on Facebook. This is a home where everyone is working hard as a team to meet the highest standards. It's very comforting to us to know that my mother-in-law is so well looked after.

My mum has been at Crossley House for three years now, and we have never had a single problem. Mum is not just well cared for, she seems loved by the carers. It is wonderful really. Communication between the home and all the family is excellent. It is truly a professionally run establishment.

It is a really nice home. Lovely staff and very well run. Mum has been there a while now and has had 100% top notch care from fantastic staff. When I visit each month or so the staff treat me so nicely, making sure I have somewhere to sit with Mum privately, sometimes with a cup of tea. Thank
you all very much

I have found the care in Crossley House to be beyond excellent. I have both visited and worked in care homes throughout my life & in my role as a registered social worker, Crossley House feels like a 'home'. The team have dealt brilliantly with my Aunt's physical & mental health needs. Communication
is excellent & person-centred. All the team seem very happy in their work & the atmosphere & vibe is always happy & welcoming. The activities & trips out provided every day are fab!

My mother passed away in August of this year. She was at Crossley House from 11/02/2022 to 26/08/2025. The care, love and compassion that she always received throughout her full stay at the home. The staff are excellent, they know all the residents so well and take time to talk to you about
anything. Nothing ever too much trouble. The last week of my mums life we stayed over and the staff were truly amazing. Best home ever.

My mum who is now 91 and has early stage Alzheimer's has been coming to Crossley for respite for a few years now, every time we use the facility we feel like family. All the staff, from the housekeepers, kitchen staff, nurses, care workers, administration and management have been kind, caring,
helpful and friends to both my mum and myself (daughter). I feel that mum is safe and secure and that all mums needs are well catered for. The food and choices daily are excellent, the rooms are bright and big enough to feel at home. They have trips out for residents and entertainment throughout the year. There is a little bit of wear and tear around but it's to be expected. I would certainly recommend this rest home and staff as excellent.

My dad came into the care home after a dementia diagnosis- he has declined quite rapidly and so is unable to stay at home. From our first look round the staff were all so welcoming and friendly- and I knew I wanted dad to be somewhere like Crossley House. The staff understand how he can be on
different days and are all fantastic in everything that they do to help care for dad. We are always kept well informed about how he is and that is of great comfort and piece of mind for us as his family.

Every member of staff assisting dad who has dementia, has been absolutely lovely with him. His needs have been met well and truly, and since some of his medication has been stopped, there are snippets of "our old dad" again!! Staff have made us as family feel completely welcomed and look after us
just as well as they do dad, thank you Crossley House!!

mum. They are very dedicated.

The care that my sister-in-law has received and is receiving is beyond care. The staff have been amazing in very difficult circumstances. I do visit another care home that could learn a lot from Crossley House. Appearances can be deceptive. Dignity is everything. A big thank you to all the staff.

I visited my brother-in-law here for the first time since he was admitted and was so pleased to see him settled and smiling. The staff were very friendly & helpful. His room's were lovely and most of all, he seemed happy. So glad my sister found him this place. Even my little dog enjoyed his visit.
28 April 2025
My mum was in Crossley House Care Home for just over a year. From the very first meeting with a staff member and then the home manager and another staff member at my mum's home, we knew she would be in safe hands.
As we got to know everyone at Crossley House (staff and residents), we always felt
like were going to visit my mum and our extended family. All the staff tried their very best for my mum, from encouraging her to get up and dressed in a morning, to joining in the activities (which was not an easy task!)
My mum could be a fiesty character at times, but she did appreciate all the help and assistance of staff too.
We were always made to feel very welcome by everyone at the home and they are all a credit to Bupa.
