Our family was celebrating my mum's 96th birthday. It was our sincere thanks, it was made especially better by the receptionist, who was lovely as usual. Laurna made it wonderful.

On the 4th of May, it was my mother's 96th birthday. We had 20 friends and family at Alexandra Grange to celebrate.
I cannot overstate enough how helpful all the staff were in making the afternoon such a success -
The lifestyle team for decorating the room. Pedram, Lorna, Vanya.
The staff
member who ensured mum (Mary) looked 'party ready'. We are so grateful.

This is the best care home I have come across. The thing I love the most is the personal, family, and community feel it has. All the staff seem to have such personal knowledge of the residents and take time to talk to them. The cage at the entrance gives a lovely, vibrant atmosphere, and it's lovely
to connect with others in there. My mum is very well cared for and always seems happy.

As shown below, I feel Alexandra Grange is an excellent home for my mother. The care she gets has contributed to her longevity of life. I always enjoy visiting. The staff are cheerful and caring (towards me as well!). We made the right decision a year ago. Mum has settled and is content. She talks
about her friendships with other residents and some of the activities she enjoys. I know she is safe and comfortable - a huge relief. I no longer feel responsible for her care. Nor do I worry about her. Great.

Excellent care for my 99-year old father, no complaints! He is very happy here.

Booked lunch in the gardenroom through Lorna for 5 people
It was fabulous, they set the table, provided drinks, cutlery, serviettes, and crockery. I just took in the food. Excellent service from all, including Lorna at reception and Ellie for the day, all the tables, etc.

Dad went into Alexandra Grange last October to be with my mum. Unfortunately mum passed away at the beginning of December. Dad was going to leave Alexandra Grange, but at the last minute, decided he wanted to stay. He had made many friends, not only with the lovely staff, but also many other
residents. Dad is certainly kept busy with the many activities on hand and always enjoys meeting family and old friends for a drink in the coffee shop. He is certainly being looked after and looks very well for his 91 years.

Alexandra Grange is a community where all personalities are catered for and nurtured
The staff treat the residents with respect and care enabling them to pursue interests and take up new ones
A very good activity programme is in place with frequent extra events eg the 15 th anniversary of the
home where mum and I and my husband enjoyed delicious food and cake and mum loved the live saxophonist.
They have live music every week
Rooms and en-suites are cleaned extremely well and laundry is done with care
Mum could visit a hairdressers in the home every week and have her nails done too
From the cheery welcome at reception to all staff family members become part of the Alexandra Grange community too.
The food is exceptional and mum loved it the chefs went over and above for the residents
You can visit at any time and when residents are not well the staff are amazing
I can highly recommend

An excellent care home! They truly care for their residents. The staff are engaged and find time to focus on the residents and support the families . Mum had dementia and Parkinson's so she needed a lot of support.

My wife of 60 years joined Alexandra Grange in August , with Vascular Dementia having been living at home with it for three and a half years. I chose this home after a careful review of a number of homes in the area. I am very pleased I did. Alexandra Grange, is a well managed home, with a care staff
that are really responsive to the needs of the residents and show real empathy when interacting with both them and their families. The home is always warm, kept in super clean condition, and the food menu ( which is sent to families weekly) is varied and healthy. There is daily activity arranged for the residents, again well planned and executed,.My wife has needed medical attention a number of times this has always been actioned promptly, with a call out Doctor if needed, and I have been kept up todate
It's a big decision to move a loved one into care , but I will always remember my wife saying ,unprompted one day "I like it here".that made me feel so pleased with that decision.

My husband joined Alexandra Grange in October 2025 as a permanent resident. Having experienced another home for respite care I have been impressed with how attentive the staff are, how clean the home is and the quality and choice of the food. Everyone is welcoming and helpful. My husband has
settled in very well. We both feel that we couldn't have found any where that would better Alexandra Grange.

I visited the care home to see whether it would be a place my mother would like for her final dementia journey.
What I saw and heard was way beyond my expectations. Firstly the building itself was spotlessly clean and welcoming. The decor was calming, bright and homely. The receptionist was
friendly and helpful. I was introduced to Lorraine and offered a drink. She was very interested in Mum's family history, likes, dislikes , health and current needs. I was given an extensive tour and introduced to several members of staff and patients. I was allowed the time and respect to observe, ask questions throughout. To be honest I could not fault anything. What a wonderful care home that truly puts everything into making the residence stay dignified, enjoyable, entertaining, engaging and interesting. I would have no hesitation in passing Mum into their gentle care.

Friendly easy to visit when convenient and a pleasant environment. It's a happy place and not sterile like some others homes locally. Rooms are light bright and spacious. Service users are encouraged to eat with others rather than in there room and there's a good cross section of activities

It's Alexandra Grange staff from every department work jointly to ensure the needs and well-being of residents are met in a friendly and supportive way. Regular management meetings held for both residents and relatives encourage feedback and inclusion. The well-being of relatives is of equal
importance, and an active support group for relatives of residents with dementia has proved invaluable. The aim is to make both residents, relatives and staff feel part of the wider Alexandra Grange family, adding to AG being a warm, caring and professionally run home.
