What an amazing place, so warm bright clean and friendly. My dear friend and neighbour became a resident Sept - 25. Her room was imediately redecorated with new furniture and pictures on the wall on her arrival. The staff are amazing and show warmth + compassion to everyone. Nothing is too much
trouble. The manager alley is so approachable and bends over backwards for everyone. The food is so tasty and beautiful hand made cakes for everyones birthday. Great activities, allway something fun going on, and happy music always playing. Amazing.

I have been visiting my brother at Brook Care over the past few weeks during his stay there for respite. I have been impressed by the friendly family atmosphere in the home and the attention and care provided by the staff to the residents. My brother has settled and has been happy during his stay.
He loves the food too!
I have been impressed by Ali and her staff who are friendly and always available to talk and help with queries or concerns both in person or on the telephone. My sincere thanks to them for their hard work and kindness.

I visited the brother of a friend with her recently. Her brother is in Brook Care Home currently for respite care. We received a warm and friendly welcome in arrival and it was immediately obvious what a wonderful home this is. Warm, bright and fresh with such a friendly atmosphere. We witnessed
amazing care and kindness to my friend's brother who is certainly happy and at ease there alongside care of us as visitors. It certainly felt like a really family atmosphere. We were so impressed with Brook. Well done all who work there.

I have visited my next door neighbour several times while she is a resident at Brook Care Home . I find the staff very helpful and friendly . The atmosphere is caring and happy . They give me a warm welcome both on the phone and when I visit . My neighbour is well looked after and is settled.
Apparently the food is very good according to her.The decor is bright and cheerful and the garden outlook very pleasant . The site seems safe and secure and I would recommend Brook House - and it run is like a home rather than an institution.

My mum joined Brook Care Home recently and from the moment our journey began to now, I've been nothing but impressed.
Manager Ali came to meet my mum for an assessment and she immediately put us at ease, was caring, patient and listened to my mum (who has dementia) and supported both of us.
When
my mum arrived at the care home, she had the warmest welcome, as did I. It really helped my mum with her transition from home to care and gave me the peace of mind I've needed for such a long time.
Within hours, my mum was being cared for well.
Every member of staff is warm, welcoming and supportive, not only to my mum but to me too. There is a really family/community feel to the home and all of the residents seem to be happy and settled too. I could not ask for more and I am relaxed knowing she is being cared for well.
The home itself is beautiful and has been decorated to a high standard. Very cosy and welcoming and clean. Food looks delicious too!

After grandad and myself looking after nan who has dementia for 5 years, when it come to being unsafe for her to stay at home we really struggled with the thought of a home and handing her care over to strangers. We tried brook care home for a four week respite and she hasn't come home. After the
settling in period nan become happy and see it as her home. The place is making wonderful changes that has all benefited the residents quality of life and we are really happy. The staff do a wonderful job and after visiting all different times of day and night we are so pleased we choose this one. It's got a real homely feel to the place and I find the staff really relatable and easy to talk and communicate with. They are happy to accommodate every request we've made and all with smiles on their faces. The way the managers support the staff and residents is heart warming, it really is its own little community.

I was apprehensive for my brother to go in Brooke care as I thought they just catered for alzheimer's and not cancer care. I was proven wrong on day one, my brother was made so welcome and the level of care he recieved went above and beyond what I could imagine. The support that we recieved as a
family was truly exceptional.I'm not sure i could of got through my brothers illness with out them and I will be forever grateful. All the staff from management, day staff, night staff checked on my brother with kindness and genuine concern like wise with me and my family.

I found the care home to be very empathetic towards my mother in law and partner, as both were struggling with the move into the home, as it was very quick. They made sure both parties were happy, understanding both of their feelings. They spent a lot of time with my mother in law, making sure all
questions were answered. When visiting, I find it very comforting to see how much time they spend with other clients as weel as my mother in law. The staff work closely with clients and nothing is too much trouble.

My grandmother has been a resident for over 2 yrs now, and in that time I have seen massive improvements not only in the management team and staff, but in the general upkeep and welfare of all the residents and the care home itself, loads of interaction and activities to help them keep occupied, all
residents seem very happy, and Ali and the team keep us informed of any information that we need to know regarding my Nan and the home, massive thank you

My mum has been cared for here since last august and i have seen massive improvement it has been redecorated and modernized throughout and a activity lady comes 3 times a week and does great things to keep all the residents entertained and active and the food is very good which makes my mum very
happy i cannot say enough about the staff they are all lovely my mum is very happy and well cared for which gives me great peace of mind

My brother moved to Brook care home assisted living early in 2024,he seems very content and has adjusted
well.At first the family thought it seemed a little run down,as did the staff and residents.Now there has been
a change in management and staff,My brother has changed also,and is very happy,hes
now more talkative
and even joins in the activities,i cannot speak highly enough of the manager and her team,thewhole atmospher has changed ,everyone is so respectful and caring and my brother is very happy there,he now
looks forward to our visits and tells us of all hes been doing.I just want to say again a big thank you to all the staff,THANK YOU.

I have been visiting my friend at the home for over 8 years. She is always cared for not only with her personal hygiene , medical needs , but with kindness and respect. The staff are friendly making visitors feel welcome and also offering refreshments if wanted. If a member of staff enters her room
she always greets them with a smile which says a lot. Over the last few months the home has got even better with the introduction of activity's for those able to join in. To conclude the home has a happy welcoming homely atmosphere which reflects on the moods of the residents .

My mother has been a resident for nearly two years, when she first moved in, which was our only choice, I found that it was in need of urgent repairs and a lot of TLC, the facilities were not great and her room was cold but the staff were friendly and seemed to be caring. The home was failing on a
lot of issues and under inspection but I did feel my mother was safe and being looked after properly for the first time in a long time, as we were unable to give her the proper care she needed were her own issues. Since the new manager and her team have taken control, the home has massively improved and is undergoing a lot of improvements, repairs, welfare etc., they constantly keep me updated and informed of all changes. The team are fantastic, very caring of my mum's needs, she seems very happy, as are we. The home is now going from strength to strength and I can see a great future for Brook Care Home. Thank you to the manager and her care team.

This home is a really caring environment. It has also seen a massive improvement in care and decor in recent months with the new manager. My sister and I couldn't have wished for a better place for Mum in her final years. Two members of staff, in particular, and all the care staff were exceptional

Visited with Christmas gifts for Mother-in-law with hubby. Found her in good spirits although she had got back into bed which is normal for her. She is looked after how she responds best to. Staff are extremely friendly and seem supportive of her needs. After her being in a different care home a
year or so ago, this is, by far, a nicer environment.

My father was a resident until urgent safeguarding was taken and he was moved out. No stimulation/activities happen. Residents don't get to go out. All paperwork is not being filled in properly. Social workers are raising issues for other residents and their safety and well-being. The manager walked
out when we raised concerns. The owner should be overseeing what is going on in the home and should be responsible for refurbishing this place. Communication was minimal. Medication was not given if residents refused, we were never told. Behaviour charts not filled in properly which is needed to help prove funding. DoLs were not in place if my father escaped. The place needs a total inspection and refurbishment. One bath/shower/ toilet downstairs for all residents. The other toilet is locked. Cleanliness is poor. The Garden has loose patio slabs, grass has tree roots coming out. 2018 reviews nothing changed. Visit other care homes. You do have a choice where to put your loved one.

My brother has been a resident for several years. At first I was slightly disappointed as I thought the care home was very tired looking and basic. I now realise that it is fit for needs and things have improved a lot. The staff are wonderful, so kind and caring, and the cooked lunches are
excellent. My only concern is there is not much in the way of entertainment or stimulation. My brother is happy and very well looked after.

My brother in law was placed at the Brook Care Home after suffering a severe mental breakdown at his home. He had lived alone for most of his life, so my wife and I were naturally concerned about how he would react in a home with other people.
Our fears soon became unfounded however, due to the
care and understanding of the staff.
His health gradually improved and he soon felt comfortable living at Brook Care Home.

I visit on a regular basis and have always had a warm welcome from the staff.
After visiting several homes this one is far superior, not only caring for residents but treating them with respect.
Always on hand when needed.
The food is excellent with variety and presented well.
Completely happy
with all aspects of the home.

Our Mum was cared for here for two years before sadly passing away. All the staff are genuinely caring and treat their residents with respect and compassion. Thank you so much for your care and support.
