My step Mum was a resident at Spring Holme for a year, it was a lovely time for her and for the family when we visited. The room she had was prefect, ensuite bathroom, bed, furniture, TV and comfortable chair big chair. Nice view from the window. She made some delightful friends, the home provided
caring, empathetic amazing staff who clearly enjoyed their job, truly caring for the residents, all her needs were met. Carol is an excellent manager, knowing all the residents and their needs, great contact with family and other service providers as required. The home was clean, fresh smelling, plenty of space, several lounges, house keeping excellent with the rooms. The food tailored to her needs as she had difficultly in swallowing and when we went to visit we were usually offered a most welcome cuppa. The menu was always on display and the food excellent quality the kitchen staff clearly knew all the residents. Various weekly activities were on offer, as well as hair and feet care.

Under the manager who took over in 2024, this care home has provided excellent care to my relative, meeting her changing needs in a sensitive and flexible way. There is a positive culture in this care home - creating a warm environment and high standards of care for individual residents.

After much discussion and assessments by both the social services and Springholme (which was recommended), he moved in.
Told if he had a negative COVID test he would not go into solitary isolation.
All promises of service provision were totally against what had been discussed and accepted by
the home who said they could cater to his needs, him being a falling patient (balance inefficiencies).
Placed in isolation for 14 days (numerous heated discussions to hinder such as this was a life-changing experience and to place isolation on top was ridiculous)
Unable to undersign LPA during his stay due to mental capacity however had the capacity to undersign two large cheques within 3 days of each other? He has deteriorated and having fallen 4 times in one day, the latter rendering hospitalised.
Absolute communication blockage and very abrupt.
Appalling I do not recommend anyone put their loved ones in here – you will regret it. I could go on.

My mother was a resident of Springholme Care for many years and the care given was, for the most part, exceptional and she was happy there. However, towards the end of last year, dementia overtook her. The level of care had slipped because I don't think the home catered for her condition.
Eventually, she was transferred to a Care Facility that catered for dementia sufferers and she passed away in March 2018. My complaint is the total lack of interest the home showed when, as a courtesy, I notified them of her passing. It upset me and had been playing on my mind so, in November, I wrote a letter to them explaining how shocked I was at their total indifference and lack of compassion. At the time she left the home, she was their longest staying resident. I received nothing back from them - no reply, nothing and confess to being terribly disappointed in their total lack of concern.

Great views over the Menai Straits. All the staff were very friendly and pleasant. Everyone bends over backwards to be helpful. All the staff were very caring. Even the gentleman who helped move furniture and did odd jobs was great. The management seemed efficient, and the staff board was marked
with training schemes various staff had been on while working at the home. The charges were very reasonable under the circumstances. I would highly recommend going to see a number of homes and making your own decision, as I did. But I am able to recommend this particular home from personal experience.
