My mother and I are quite particular, and have very high expectations and standards. Wood Hill Grange has met all of them, for her brother/my uncle, who is a lifelong resident, Sheffield. First and foremost, their entire staff, every single one of them, genuinely cares about the residents - They pay
attention to my uncle's specific needs and preferences. We / he wouldn't have gotten through this process without Michelle, Laura, Angela, Becky, Camille, Amanda, et al (so many more, that I apologize I'm not mentioning by name,!). They are professional, they are experienced and knowledgeable, they are kind and patient. For anyone, this is an exceptionally emotional, financial, logistical scenario to be in. And Wood Hill Grange Care Home has made it all possible for us. We feel incredibly comfortable and confident with my uncle living there and being attended to. We did a lot of research, and investigated a lot of other homes. And are so grateful that we found Wood Hill Grange Care Home. xx

My grandad is currently in Wood Hill Grange care home and I couldn't be happier with the care given. Michelle (home manager) has been amazing throughout, supported with any questions and queries, explained the process with compassion. Michelle genuinely cares, not just about the residents but their
families also. No matter the issue, Michelle and Becky is always willing to listen and makes time to chat. I've seen a number of staff members walking on corridors, with a smile, speaking to families with positive attitude. So happy with how my grandad has settled in this home. I'm very happy with our choice after DST. It puts your mind at ease when it was a worry to begin with.

Where do I start? My dad was cared for, loved and safe here for nearly eight years. From the moment he walked in, we knew it was right. The empathy and support for him was just as strong for me and Mum. Overall, these years there were, of course, staff and management changes. This never affected my
father's care. You have been his voice and cared for him because we couldn't. As a family, you became ours. We will be forever grateful.

My nan has been there for 2 years and it's the best move we've ever made. It's lovely and calm environment. All staff especially Manager Michelle are amazing with residents, also seem really happy within their jobs. The activities are brilliant, coffee mornings, bingo, hot chocolate stations. My nan
has made some lovely friends and it's nice to see.

We recently had a family member staying at Wood Hill Grange Care Home on a temporary basis, and I just wanted to share what a genuinely positive experience it was. From the moment he arrived, the staff were welcoming, kind, and incredibly attentive. It's clear they really care about the residents
and go the extra mile to make everyone feel comfortable and valued. The home itself is clean, well-maintained, and has a warm, friendly atmosphere - not something you always expect, but it really stood out. Communication with the team was excellent too, which gave us great peace of mind as a family. Most importantly, my uncle felt settled, safe, and well looked after during his stay - and that means everything. A big thank you to all the staff at Wood Hill Grange for the care and compassion you showed. It didn't go unnoticed

My mum wasn't having the best time here, but when Michelle stepped in it all changed. She is a dedicated person who loves her job, she has genuine empathy for the residents and cares for them deeply, she is always happy to help, and if any issue arises, she will always do her best to solve them. The
home is now filled with love and warmth, and that is down to Michelle.

If dad hadn't been in Woodhill Grange, he wouldn't have lasted as long as he did. He could hardly walk after spending much of his time in a previous home. The staff encouraged him to walk again. He struggled with his dementia, but overall, I could tell he was happy. Dad had a good rapport with the
staff, even when he struggled to speak. They were all lovely to him and very caring when he died. Thank you.

My son was given a place at Wood Hill Grange at the beginning of November 2024. Although a younger resident (44) he was taken on a temporary placement. All staff, including reception and ancillary (laundry etc.), have been empathetic, caring, polite and extremely professional. Nothing is too much
trouble and you are always greeted with a smile and a listening ear. The staff have made a horrendous journey seem much more manageable. Thank you.

General overall experience was good. Care too was good but lacked any kind of stimulation. Staff have always been caring and done as much as they could. Food was excellent, with plenty of variety.

All staff were very welcoming, professional and efficient. The external and internal of the building were very clean and tidy. There was no unpleasant smell. My husband's room was ready for him on arrival and he was offered a drink as soon as he got into his room. He said he enjoyed all the food and
he has plenty to eat. I was asked about his care and everything I said was noted. I was generally impressed with Wood Hill Grange and the care there. Thank you.

We have every confidence that the staff at Wood Hill Grange care about our dad and treat him with dignity and respect.

Mum has been a resident at Wood Hill for two years. Our overall experience has been good. Mum has been well cared for by staff on Loxley. The care staff and qualified staff are genuine and kind, although there is a language barrier with a few of the care staff. Out areas of concern are lack of
stimulation for Mum and organised activities that occur infrequently. Another problem is the payment of Mum's care home fees to Portland, which results in Mum being in areas. We (there are four daughters) do however feel well-supported as a family.
