Overall the care my mum gets is good. Staff are friendly and caring. I do sometimes feel there aren't enough staff on shift and the ones on shift are working extra hard. I would like a few more activities especially around special occasions/holidays.

The garden area, at the back needs a bit of TLC. It could be a lovely place to sit, but there's not enough shaded areas or even furniture now.

In my dad's later years, he is really struggling with his dementia and mental health. I am so glad he is being looked after by the staff at Wood Hill Grange. I visit him once or twice a week and every time I go he seems really happy and comfortable. The staff are all so friendly and genuinely care for all the residents, not just my father. I completely understand that the odd piece of clothing and toiletries might get misplaced. It is simply impossible for the staff to monitor this 24/7 but I know they always try their absolute best. As I mentioned before, they show immense passion and commitment to the residents. I also love that they show immense passion and commitment to the residents. I also love that 90% of the time that it is the same staff looking after my father. This consistency is wonderful for him because he recognises them and trusts them.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the staff at the care home for the kindness, compassion, and dignity they showed my mum during her final weeks.

Although her stay was only a short one, every member of staff went above and beyond to ensure she was comfortable, cared for, and treated with respect. They did everything they possibly could to support her and our family during an incredibly difficult time. A special thank you to Manju and Mikayla for the exceptional nursing care they provided. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine compassion meant so much to both Mum and our family. I would also like to thank Michelle, who kindly allowed us to stay overnight with Mum and made sure we were comfortable during such a heartbreaking time. That support meant more to us than words can express and gave us precious time together as a family. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their warmth, patience, and dedication brought us great comfort. Knowing that Mum was in such safe hands.

Very impressed with the care and thoughtfulness extended to my uncle. He is a very private and independant person. The care home were brilliant in the way he was introduced to living in a care home, after looking after himself all his adult life now in his 90's.

I cannot visit my auntie often due to work commitments, however I cannot praise this care home enough, as soon as I walk into the reception I am greeted by Angela and Michelle, the manager and admin, they will help me with any questions I have straight away, ensuring my auntie is comfortable, getting the best care she could get. She is treated with respect and dignity, and it gives my family so much peace of mind when we cannot be with her knowing she is in capable hands. All carers go above and beyond to make sure she is happy and included in daily activities, they chat with her making sure she feels cared for on a personal level, the home is always clean, welcoming and no matter where inside you go there is such a bright atmosphere, many thanks to Michelle. We are truly grateful for the compassion and dedication shown to my auntie every day. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for quality care for a loved one.

My mother and I are quite particular, and have very high expectations and standards. Wood Hill Grange has met all of them, for her brother/my uncle, who is a lifelong resident, Sheffield. First and foremost, their entire staff, every single one of them, genuinely cares about the residents - They pay attention to my uncle's specific needs and preferences. We / he wouldn't have gotten through this process without Michelle, Laura, Angela, Becky, Camille, Amanda, et al (so many more, that I apologize I'm not mentioning by name,!). They are professional, they are experienced and knowledgeable, they are kind and patient. For anyone, this is an exceptionally emotional, financial, logistical scenario to be in. And Wood Hill Grange Care Home has made it all possible for us. We feel incredibly comfortable and confident with my uncle living there and being attended to. We did a lot of research, and investigated a lot of other homes. And are so grateful that we found Wood Hill Grange Care Home. xx

My grandad is currently in Wood Hill Grange care home and I couldn't be happier with the care given. Michelle (home manager) has been amazing throughout, supported with any questions and queries, explained the process with compassion. Michelle genuinely cares, not just about the residents but their families also. No matter the issue, Michelle and Becky is always willing to listen and makes time to chat. I've seen a number of staff members walking on corridors, with a smile, speaking to families with positive attitude. So happy with how my grandad has settled in this home. I'm very happy with our choice after DST. It puts your mind at ease when it was a worry to begin with.

Where do I start? My dad was cared for, loved and safe here for nearly eight years. From the moment he walked in, we knew it was right. The empathy and support for him was just as strong for me and Mum. Overall, these years there were, of course, staff and management changes. This never affected my father's care. You have been his voice and cared for him because we couldn't. As a family, you became ours. We will be forever grateful.

Was really worried about my dad moving to a care home, but he has honestly settled so well. The home is clean, calming and full of love. We recently had a family member staying at Wood Hill Grange Care Home on a temporary basis, and I just wanted to share what a genuinely positive experience it was. From the moment he arrived, the staff were welcoming, kind, and incredibly attentive. It's clear they really care about the residents and go the extra mile to make everyone feel comfortable and valued. The home itself is clean, well-maintained, and has a warm, friendly atmosphere - not something you always expect, but it really stood out. Communication with the team was excellent too, which gave us great peace of mind as a family. Most importantly, my uncle felt settled, safe, and well looked after during his stay - and that means everything. A big thank you to all the staff at Wood Hill Grange for the care and compassion you showed. It didn't go unnoticed

If dad hadn't been in Woodhill Grange, he wouldn't have lasted as long as he did. He could hardly walk after spending much of his time in a previous home. The staff encouraged him to walk again. He struggled with his dementia, but overall, I could tell he was happy. Dad had a good rapport with the staff, even when he struggled to speak. They were all lovely to him and very caring when he died. Thank you.

My son was given a place at Wood Hill Grange at the beginning of November 2024. Although a younger resident (44) he was taken on a temporary placement. All staff, including reception and ancillary (laundry etc.), have been empathetic, caring, polite and extremely professional. Nothing is too much trouble and you are always greeted with a smile and a listening ear. The staff have made a horrendous journey seem much more manageable. Thank you.
