Overall Experience

Dad was in Wood Hill Grange for around 4 months. The care for Dad was excellent. Where there needs to be improvement is with the activities that the residents do not see, such as billing for the residents' care and provision of a welcome pack to the residents' families.

My Mum's care has been outstanding, the staff have looked after my Mum with dignity and treated her like a family member. They got her to ear regular meals and she's put weight on. She's happier than we've seen her in a long time, the staff got Mum to join in activities on a daily basis and me and my brother have seen a vast difference in her well being and moods. I can't put into words how grateful we are.

Since mum came, she has come on in leaps and bounds. The care and support she is receiving is amazing. Staff are more than fantastic, the care and support is beyond expectations. Mum has put weight on, made new friends and eating properly. Her speech has now improved, her general moods and outlook on things have massively improved. This is due to the great care and support she is receiving. Couldn't recommend this place enough, I would highly recommend.

Overall Experience
This is a good, much-improved care home. The new management team, which has been in place since early this year, has worked very hard to improve several issues and the changes are noticeable and pleasing. The team are approachable and friendly and intent of improving standards. Long may this continue.

My markings are all "good". On principle, I rarely use "excellent". The latter is a quality towards which we should always be striving and not allowing complacency to creep in and management certainly seems to be doing that at Wood Hill Grange.

Review from S P (Relative of Resident) published on 22 November 2017 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My relative was moved to Wood Hill Grange in January as the previous care home could no longer cope. We were understandably worried that the move would be problematic. On the contrary, the staff ensured that our relative settled in quickly and happily. We are delighted for all concerned. Thank you.

Review from Richard M (Cousin of Resident) published on 9 November 2017 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
The home is modern, bright and spotless. The staff are friendly and cheerful and go to considerable lengths to help the residents.

Training looks to be good, I have ten years experience in the sector. The food is good and wholesome with choices available. Each resident has a named key worker which works well in terms of clothing, medication enquiries and the social care which each resident has. Staff are good at dealing with my cousin's Parkinson's and are aware of his difficulties/mood swings. Management is approachable and friendly and very keen to see residents as individuals but part of the community at Wood Hill Grange Care Home.
