General overall experience was good. Care too was good but lacked any kind of stimulation. Staff have always been caring and done as much as they could. Food was excellent, with plenty of variety.

All staff were very welcoming, professional and efficient. The external and internal of the building were very clean and tidy. There was no unpleasant smell. My husband's room was ready for him on arrival and he was offered a drink as soon as he got into his room. He said he enjoyed all the food and he has plenty to eat. I was asked about his care and everything I said was noted. I was generally impressed with Wood Hill Grange and the care there. Thank you.

Mum has been a resident at Wood Hill for two years. Our overall experience has been good. Mum has been well cared for by staff on Loxley. The care staff and qualified staff are genuine and kind, although there is a language barrier with a few of the care staff. Out areas of concern are lack of stimulation for Mum and organised activities that occur infrequently. Another problem is the payment of Mum's care home fees to Portland, which results in Mum being in areas. We (there are four daughters) do however feel well-supported as a family.

Dad has been in the nursing home for the last 6 months due to severe falling at home with spells in the hospital. He hasn't had a fall since arriving at Wood Hill Grange Care Home. I video call him every day which the staff help with and he is shaven, dressed and clean. I feel all the staff are approachable and helpful and Dad settled straight away. The member of staff in reception helps and advises on every task. Thank you Wood Hill Grange staff.

Overall Experience

My mother came to live at Wood Hill Grange in October 2021, initially for respite for a month. During that time it became apparent that she would be happier and better staying here for end-of-life care, which she did until her death in December. I live abroad and tried to get there as often as possible and I am grateful for the home in accommodating those special circumstances. Wood Hill Grange is a purpose-built care home, so the rooms are very spacious. The food is good and the staff do their best to encourage residents to join in activities. The staff treated my mother with the greatest respect at all times, the care was obviously driven by compassion and dignity. I will be forever grateful to the staff for all they did.

My dad was sent to Wood Hill Grange Care Home last year. From the very beginning, every one of the staff from kitchen assistants to managers were some of the kindest most compassionate people I have met, nothing was too much for these angels as my mum called them. Care staff on Dad's floor went above and beyond and we would now class them as dear friends. Once again, I can't express our thanks enough for all their care and comfort they gave my dad and us.

I had to visit a gentleman who was on the end of life care. The whole experience was handled with sensitivity and courtesy but with strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols. While the experience of seeing someone pass away, it was made bearable by everyone at the care facility.

Firstly I would like to praise the staff on their quick response to the Coronavirus. As a retired nurse, I would like to say how impressed I was with the standard of care delivered and observed. High knowledge of a well-trained team. They were very supportive of my relative, with her care and her needs. One very important factor - communication skills. High standard in this area was shown both to family and my relative. Always keeping us informed.

We have been here a week after a challenging six weeks. The care provided to Dad has been excellent. The staff have been kind, supportive but encouraging him to do things for himself. I was anxious about him being in a care setting but have been pleasantly surprised, but this is mainly down to your staff. The facilities are good the rooms are a bit bare but the cleanliness is good. Can't comment on the activities as I haven't seen them.
