My mother and I are quite particular, and have very high expectations and standards. Wood Hill Grange has met all of them, for her brother/my uncle, who is a lifelong resident, Sheffield. First and foremost, their entire staff, every single one of them, genuinely cares about the residents - They pay
attention to my uncle's specific needs and preferences. We / he wouldn't have gotten through this process without Michelle, Laura, Angela, Becky, Camille, Amanda, et al (so many more, that I apologize I'm not mentioning by name,!). They are professional, they are experienced and knowledgeable, they are kind and patient. For anyone, this is an exceptionally emotional, financial, logistical scenario to be in. And Wood Hill Grange Care Home has made it all possible for us. We feel incredibly comfortable and confident with my uncle living there and being attended to. We did a lot of research, and investigated a lot of other homes. And are so grateful that we found Wood Hill Grange Care Home. xx
Reply from Lyndsey Webb, Operations Manager at Wood Hill Grange Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. We are truly honoured by your kind words and delighted to hear that Wood Hill Grange has met the high standards and expectations you and your mother set when searching for care for your uncle.
It is especially rewarding to know that our team's genuine care, professionalism, and attention to your uncle's individual needs have made such a positive difference during what we understand can be an emotional and challenging journey. We will be sure to share your lovely feedback with Michelle, Laura, Angela, Becky, Camille, Amanda, and the wider team, who will be thrilled to know their support has been so appreciated.

Thank you for placing your trust in us. It means a great deal to know that you feel comfortable and confident with your uncle's care, and we are grateful to be part of his journey.

Warm regards,

My grandad is currently in Wood Hill Grange care home and I couldn't be happier with the care given. Michelle (home manager) has been amazing throughout, supported with any questions and queries, explained the process with compassion. Michelle genuinely cares, not just about the residents but their
families also. No matter the issue, Michelle and Becky is always willing to listen and makes time to chat. I've seen a number of staff members walking on corridors, with a smile, speaking to families with positive attitude. So happy with how my grandad has settled in this home. I'm very happy with our choice after DST. It puts your mind at ease when it was a worry to begin with.
Reply from Lyndsey Webb, Operations Manager at Wood Hill Grange Care HomeThank you for taking the time to share such a lovely review. We are delighted to hear that your grandad has settled so well at Wood Hill Grange and that you have been happy with the care and support provided.

Michelle and Becky will be thrilled to receive your kind words. Where do I start? My dad was cared for, loved and safe here for nearly eight years. From the moment he walked in, we knew it was right. The empathy and support for him was just as strong for me and Mum. Overall, these years there were, of course, staff and management changes. This never affected my
father's care. You have been his voice and cared for him because we couldn't. As a family, you became ours. We will be forever grateful.
Reply from Lyndsey Webb, Operations Manager at Wood Hill Grange Care HomeThank you so much for your incredibly kind words. We are honoured that you trusted us with your dad's care for nearly eight years, and we're pleased that, despite changes along the way, the compassion and dedication of our team remained constant. We will be sure to share this with the team at Woodhill Grange.

My Dad become a resident in July 2025 due a lengthy stay across 3 hospitals. This left him unable to take care of himself at home so was placed at Wood Hill Lodge on an assessment bed and then on a more permanent basis. My Dad was made welcome straight away by staff members, had one to one to help him
settle in. Staff & nurses are approachable, will answer any questions or queries you have and all staff say hello when they see you in the building. Dad does need support in washing & other personal care, medication etc but the support staff has rehabilitated him back to just about his normal self after the hospital left him incontinent & unable to feed & dress himself. He is now continent & can feed himself well. Dad has gained weight due to balanced meals throughout the day, he enjoys all food & plenty of snacks & drinks in between. There are plenty of onsite activities to keep Dad engaged when he chooses to take part. The manager Bose is also very approachable, her door is always open.

My husband was at Waterside Grange from December 2024 to March 2026, during which time the management and staff could not have taken better care of him. One of our highlights was the Christmas lunch that was organised just for us in the day room downstairs. Lindsey and team pulled out all the stops
and laid on a festive feast for our family, beautifully laid table, crackers and all. These sort of things brought a smile to my husbands face and a moment of happiness for us all to remember. My husband sadly died in March of Alzheimers and the family thank the whole team for their care and support during this time.

The home has lovely staff who smile and greet you. They seem happy at work.
I just feel frustrated that when I ask for person-centred care it doesn't seem to happen.
I have recently put up a memo asking that my Auntie has her TV book open on the correct day in front of her. Its mostly in her drawer,
out of her reach.

We recently had a family member staying at Wood Hill Grange Care Home on a temporary basis, and I just wanted to share what a genuinely positive experience it was. From the moment he arrived, the staff were welcoming, kind, and incredibly attentive. It's clear they really care about the residents and
go the extra mile to make everyone feel comfortable and valued. The home itself is clean, well-maintained, and has a warm, friendly atmosphere - not something you always expect, but it really stood out. Communication with the team was excellent too, which gave us great peace of mind as a family. Most importantly, my uncle felt settled, safe, and well looked after during his stay - and that means everything. A big thank you to all the staff at Wood Hill Grange for the care and compassion you showed. It didn't go unnoticed

My Mum had been in Waterside grange since January till present day. As a family we can't express our gratitude and thanks to the staff and management at Waterside grange/portland care enough. My mum has Alzheimer's dementia. After a stay in hospital my mum went into restbite at waterside grange and
then social services and ourselves made the hard decision that Mum needed 24 hour care. It was very upsetting as Mum always stated she didn't want go into care. But the management and staff went above and beyond to make mum feel welcome loved and cared for. The attention to detail the home provides is outstanding. The level of care and the interaction they provide is amazing. My mum has done more in the last few weeks than she has in the last 6 years. I feel Mum has felt the level of care and has responded in such a way that we have gotten a bit of mum back that we had lost. I cannot express our sincere gratitude enough . Thankyou to Portland care and thyou so much to all at Waterside grange

If dad hadn't been in Woodhill Grange, he wouldn't have lasted as long as he did. He could hardly walk after spending much of his time in a previous home. The staff encouraged him to walk again. He struggled with his dementia, but overall, I could tell he was happy. Dad had a good rapport with the staff,
even when he struggled to speak. They were all lovely to him and very caring when he died. Thank you.

This was a short stay for my daughter to facilitate my holiday. Prior to the onset of her disability she had worked as a nursing home carer and this gave an edge to the experience. Her verdict was:- 'Twelve out of ten' 'Better than Madeira!' (where she enjoyed 5 star hotel). Especially impressed by
the help towards independence.
Reply from Lyndsey Webb, Operations Manager at Neu LivingThank you so much for taking the time to share such a wonderful review, and please also pass on our thanks to your daughter for her incredibly kind words. We're delighted that her short stay with us helped make your holiday possible and that she found the experience so positive. Knowing that she previously worked as a nursing home carer herself makes her verdict of "twelve out of ten" especially meaningful to our team. Being compared favourably to a five-star stay in Madeira is praise indeed!
We're particularly pleased that the support we provided towards her independence stood out. Promoting confidence, choice, and independence is at the heart of what we aim to do, so it's very rewarding to hear that this made a real difference to her stay.
Thank you again for your recommendation. It was a pleasure to support your daughter, and we would be very happy to welcome her back in the future. Best Wishes.
