Rosclare Residential Care Home looked after my husband for 14 months and provided him with the most caring and compassionate home I could have wished for. Rosclare is run like a home with personal interests, needs and preferences catered for the staff spend time talking with the residents. On many
occasions I heard them having a joke with my husband which he obviously enjoyed. He was always clean, well dressed, shaved and his nails cut. I often asked him if he was happy in the home and he always said he was. Meals are cooked freshly on the premises and looked very appetising and my husband enjoyed them very much.
The staff were patient and caring with my husband who had severe and deteriorating Alzheimer's, taking time to understand him and find ways to support his needs. The staff also kept me informed at all times and took note of any wishes I had to ensure my husband was really well looked after.
There are activities and outings throughout the year, some of which my husband could

I visit a resident generally weekly for perhaps 1/2 hour. Physical conditions are good - the public rooms are clean, tidy and as dust-free as can be expected ! I enter the bedroom to put grapes etc on the bedside table - bed linen is clean and the room is tidy. I have always found the staff to be
good-natured, positive and demonstrate a warm empathy toward all the residents and visitors, who are very welcome to drop in. Activities are structured and the staff attempt to get all the residents to join in -some are unwilling or incapable but the staff still try to involve them. An 'Open Day' was held recently to which carers were invited. It started with a very professional presentation outlining the ethos - Rosclare is primarily the residents home and the staff are there to support and care for the residents - and presenting weekly range of activities and some planned outings. Afterwards the staff performed traditional Singhalese dances and songs which were well-received. A local singin

Mum was a resident of Rosclare for 4 years until she passed away in November 2024.
A small home where it is has a homely & friendly feel. All the staff were loving & caring towards mum & were precise in her care & needs. Mum was always content & happy as a resident which for me was so important for
her well being.
The home was always kept clean & mums personal care was spotless, even after she became bedbound.
I was actually told by medical professionals that mum was end of life in 2021, so to me the love & care that the staff showed towards her kept her going way beyond that with their care.
Mum passed away peacefully in the home in November 2024 & the staff were so lovely to me & showed so much dignity & love towards mum to the end.

I cannot recommend Rosclare highly enough. My mother has been a resident for 5 years so far and could not have been more comfortable or well looked after. It is a family home atmosphere, small enough for all staff to get to know each resident and meet their individual needs. Friends and relatives
are made to feel equally welcome at any time and they can join in the varied programme of group activities if they wish. I have been kept fully involved in decisions about Mother's ongoing care as her health has deteriorated and have been grateful for the help and support in what could have been a very distressing time.

Mother has been at Rosclare since early 2013 and has always received first-rate care. Because Rosclare is a converted residential property it feels homely, rather than institutional and the staff add to this feeling. They are very caring with the residents and welcoming of visitors. Activities are
arranged for residents and there are regular visits from children from local schools who engage with the residents.
