My Dad was at Argentum for about 15 months. The staff are very professional and caring and treated Dad with dignity and kindness. They encouraged Dad to join activities and socialise, but also respected his wishes, when he didn't want to. Due to Dad's illnesses, he had frequent falls - we were
always informed when this happened and kept up to date. The staff did all they could to help with fall prevention - room adaptations, arranging an OT visit, frequent monitoring, etc.
The staff were always very friendly to me and my family and I cannot recommend Argentum Lodge highly enough.

Since my mother first went into the carehome in July 2024 my mother seems to be upset and not over happy being in there, each time we visit it changes but maybe that is down to her Dementia, upto her addmitance to hospital in the middle of Febuary 2026 after as we have been told woken up in the
middle of the night and slipped ? fell and broken her hip joint, in my opinion this could of been prevented now i ask a few questions, why was the alarm mat underneath the bed for several months and not being used ? why do they never make sure her lanyard alarm never on, proven by picks, why no walking sticks in view, why very little use of walking frame, why she was not supervised to take her inhallers properly, in my opinion if the care home did the job that over £6,000 a month pays for my mother would NOT be in palative care. To be honest shop around for a care home ALWAYS REMEMBER PREVENTATIVE MEASURES ARE BETTER THAN CURE.

Water jugs not always filled and not always serviettes.
Apart from entertainment in lounge, Christmas singers, I haven't been offered any other activities.
Because of the position of the light switches I can't operate them from my bed.
Apart from this it's a very good experience staying here for
respite.
Very pleasant and caring staff.

Mum has been in Argentum Lodge since the end of March 2025 and has settled in well. Unfortunately she had suffered a tragic bereavement shortly before she moved in as well as having to move out of her previous residential home in Devon due to it being shut down. This meant she took a while to get
into the swing of life in Argentum and join in with the various activities. However, she did and soon made friends with some of the other residents and staff, thanks to the care and patience of the staff who encouraged Mum to integrate and join in.
The staff are caring, friendly and helpful, particularly the nursing staff, J and A who deserve special acknowledgement and thanks.
Meds are effectively administered and the premises always appear clean and warm.
One thing that Mum does occasionally comment on is the small size of some of the meals.
Thanks to the whole team for looking after Mum, it is much appreciated.

My mother has been in Argentum since August this year. She has settled in well. The staff have shown her extreme kindness and patience at all times. The activities are great fun and bring laughter to those that attend. We are kept informed about mum's wellbeing and can speak to anyone at anytime if
we have any concerns.
The staff are always smiling and I always feel welcomed when visiting.
Thank you so much for all you are doing for her. We certainly feel she is in safe hands.

Jess and her team have been looking after mum for only 2 days and I can tell that she feels at home already. Rob had been helping to prepare her room even before she arrived - putting up pictures and a mirror and moving furniture. Alvin welcomed her as soon as she was in her room and took careful
notes about her preferred daily routine. He was at pains to tell her that she was the boss and should let the team at Argentum know how she would like to be helped. Today Joy had helped mum to get ready for the day and commented to me how good mum's skin was. Everyone I have met here has been thoughtful and attentive and caring. Thank you Argentum for looking after mum so well.

As a family we cannot speak highly enough of the staff at Argentum- they are so caring not just of my father but also us as a family.

The care my mother in law received was 2nd to none. I work in the care sector myself and the way the staff treated everyone including families was exceptional and welcoming. It's a shame mother in law arrived at end of life as she had enjoyed the care she received if she got there sooner. All staff
should be proud of themselves for the fantastic work they do from care, janitorial and through to management. A big well done from me a fellow care worker and district Councillor
