Orchid Care Home has a very comfortable homely feeling, the facilities and activities are very very good.
The main reason I'm pleased we chose it for our Mum are the staff. They are all absolutely kind dedicated people & we know Mum is in caring safe hands and thank you to everyone single one of
you.

Orchid Care Home provides a warm, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. Staff are kind, attentive, and treat everyone with dignity and respect. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, with a good range of activities that help residents stay engaged and comfortable. Communication with
families is clear and reassuring. Overall, it offers a high standard of care and peace of mind for loved ones.

The Orchid Care home cannot be faulted, residents are treated like family and very well cared for.
The whole place is immaculate and well maintained.
The food is excellent and residents individual needs are catered for as they change over time.
The activity team, cater for all types of ability
and interests to keep life interesting and fulfilling for residents.

Mum moved into Orchid Care Home in February 2026.
The home is modern and kept spotless by the cleaning team.
All who work there are extreemly kind and caring and continually keep us regularly updated on any healrh issues or activities that may be going on. Mum is happy there and this has put our
mind at rest as a family. A big thank you to all the team who work there God bless xxx

My mother has only been in the home for a short time and we were invited to a Mothers Day tea. It was so well organised with lots of beautiful personal touches. We had a lovely afternoon and the staff were extremely attentive. Well done to all of them and a big thank you.

Lovely event put on for Mothers Day on Friday 13 March. Staff work hard to make everyone welcome and always with a smile. Dining Room was decorated beautifully, and sandwiches and cakes for afternoon tea were in abundance. Most importantly, mum had a wonderful time.

A really enjoyable and well organised afternoon. Staff as always were polite, respectful and very attentive to both residents and visitors. A delicious and bountiful spread for all and a thoughtful gift for the Mothers. A lovely afternoon.

Thanks to Beth and the team for hosting a lovely Mother's Day afternoon tea for families. The room and tables were beautifully decorated with flowers/ sweet favours and the food was amazing.
It was so nice to be able to celebrate Mother's Day with Mum.

Beth arranged an afternoon tea on Friday 13th March for Mothers Day.
It was lovely to see so many families attend this event and the food was as good as always thanks to Dale.
These functions would not be possible if it were not for the dedication of such wonderful people as Beth and Dale.
Everyone enjoyed the afternoon and it was a joy to see the smiles on the female residents and their families.

Orchid is an amazing home for my Mum. All staff are approachable and go out of their way to help you. The nursing staff are great and extremely caring. Nothing is too much trouble! The activities team run great events and varied activities. All the ladies are lovely! Can't fault this Care home and
would recommend it hugely.

I do a review for Orchid every now and again because I think it's really important for relatives to know how their loved ones are being looked after.
Our mum has been at Orchid coming up to 3 years. I've often described some of the carers as adopted family. The trust we build and the comfort we get
from knowing our mum is in the best place. It is massively important and reassuring to us.
Congrats to all that work there. You make a huge difference.

My sister and I have both our parents as permanent residents in Orchid, and since our mum joined in June 2025 (followed by dad a couple of months later), we have been extremely impressed in almost every aspect. We visited quite a few care homes in Swindon, and Orchid stood out as the 5 star option.
We haven't regretted our choice whatsoever, and although there are always small and rare 'niggles' and we had the odd teething issue, everything that hasn't been perfect, has been addressed and dealt with very well by the management and the brilliant staff. Everyone at Orchid is lovely, friendly and very approachable. In the 9 months, we have rarely seen a staff member leave, so the staff-retention must be high. This indicates that the carers and staff are happy, and happy staff=happy residents=happy families! We visit Orchid most days, and each time we leave, we go away knowing that our parents are in the best possible hands, and are being looked after by some excellent carers.

Valentine's lunch wtih my husband, who is a resident. The room was decorated beautifully, little gift each, a lovely Valentine card. Food wonderful and pianist excellent. Attention to detail great. So beautiful to spend time with the people we love. They may have changed but love always shines
through. Thank you Orchid team - especially Beth, this is why you are 10/10.

Overall an excellent care home. We have tried respite in a few. We even had a Valentine's meal together with music & gift. So lovely. Would definitely recommend.

My mother is well cared for in every respect. Personal care, nursing care, activities and diet. Her personal wishes and personality are also taken into consideration and catered for each day. When I visit we can sit and chat on our own with a cup of tea and a cake. Such a difference to the worry of
what might be happening when she was in her house. We couldn't be with her 24/7. Now we know she is safe at all times.

My Step Mother has recently passed away after being a resident at Orchid for over 4 years.
During her stay there the entire staff have been nothing less than fantastic and have shown her so much kindness and respect through what has been a very challenging time.
They have constantly kept me informed
and involved in all aspects of her care and my wife and I are most grateful that my Step Mother was so lucky to be able to see out her final years at such a caring place.

Orchid care home gives me every confidence my sister is well cared for and all her needs are met. As a resident of the last few months, I am amazed at the number of activities that are arranged for the residents along with trips out for the more able. Nothing is too much trouble for any one of the
staff team from the management, carers, nursing staff and the behind the scenes staff. Everything is well planned and very inclusive.
Orchid is kept very clean and feels like a real home with lots of fun and laughter and as regular visitors I can say we are alway made to feel welcome . We are alway kept informed of any health issues or concerns and are confident that everything that is done is always for the best interest of the residents. We can not speak highly enough of Orchid Care home and in particular Rose unit from what he have experienced in the short time my sister has been a resident
