View Full Details of Hinckley House Care Home - Avery HealthcareMy wife is very happy there it was making me bad looking after haz 24-7 my sons told me to try a rest home l look at one or two three Hinckley house was the best I go to see her 5-6 times a week the staff are very good with her and me so I will give 91/2 out of 10 thank you
I worked here for 8 years, I think that speaks for itself. At the end of those 8 years the only reason I left is because my Nan moved in and I wanted to give her own space. I would not have wanted her to be cared for elsewhere because I know she will get exactly everything she needs until her last days. Working there was incredible and seeing how they care for my nan over the past 18 months has been even better.
Excellent care, friendly staff, very welcoming. Plenty of activities for the residents to participate in, including trips out. Good food and plenty of it. Pleasant, well kept garden area. Highly recommended.
Hinckley House benefits from an excellent experienced and stable staff team who do as much as possible for the residents. There is a culture of kindness and a ' can do' attitude, so that people find a way of making things happen to support people in appropriate and generous ways.
Generally very pleased with the facility. Staff are genuinely caring. And try really hard to navigate difficult situations. Love all of the activities that are on offer. Food seems a little boring for vegetarians. WiFi could be better. Only niggle is that some carers seem to infantilise conversations which results the care user feeling patronised.
Friendly, clean, homely, communal. Visited my grandma today and helped them with dinner. Food was nice too. The staff couldn't help more, they even have little jokes with the residents. Entertainment is good too, lots of variety.
Hinckley House has the most dedicated friendly and caring staff that you could wish for. They gave me lots of support too. Could not have wished for a better environment with lots of activities, excellent food and welcoming attitude towards visitors. Lots of long term staff and beautiful surroundings overlooking the park and school with plenty of activities to observe on a daily basis. A wonderful place.
We have found the staff very good at caring for our mother and the home is always clean and tidy. Although we think that this home is good we think that it is on the expensive. There should be more medically qualified people on site and information when requested be more forthcoming.
My Mum has always been very well looked after here, she is very content most of the time, she does have her off days when she can be very nasty to the staff but they are always so very patient with her and reassure her that she is ok. I would recommend this home, it's always very clean, the staff are lovely, and always lots going on to entertain the residents.
A lovely care home, with lots of activities for mum to enjoy, a lovely en suite room and facilities which are kept immaculate by the housekeepers. Mum is kept safe and is happy living there.
My nan has been at Hinckley House Care Home since 2017. We are always happy with her care. Staff are always friendly and helpful and we know my nan's happy, safe and cared for 24 hours a day.
My friend has been a resident here for 2 years and has multiple needs. I visit every day and apart from short breaks and have nothing but praise for all the staff for the efficiency, friendliness and suing and always as speak. So happy om their work despite often challenging situations.
Excellent care in all areas. No concerns.
Very happy with the care and support my husband receives, staff are caring and supportive, always friendly.
My Mum was a resident at Hinckley House for just over two months last year. During that time she lost weight and had to be given food supplement shakes. I brought the weight loss to the attention of the staff by weighing her myself. She also became depressed and was prescribed antidepressants. Rarely did anyone turn her tv on and nobody appears to have taken her out for a smoke as she had the same pack of cigarettes when she came out as she had when she went in. On the day I went to remove her I found her lying in a soiled bed. There was no toilet paper in her bathroom though I was told the cleaner had recently cleaned her room. Worst day of my life! Lovely building, with rooms and a coffee machine but the care my Mum got was very poor.
From the moment I viewed Hinckley House, I knew it was the place for my auntie. It felt like 'home'. She had never wanted to go into a home but the time had come when she was no longer safe on her own and needed 24-hour care. She has been with Hinckley House for nearly a year and a half now and she is so happy. Although she is not her old self, her smile still beams because she is so well looked after and feels comfortable in her surroundings. The staff are absolutely amazing and go above and beyond. The meals provided are fabulous and the activities team are wonderful and provide so many creative and physical activities to keep the residents active and entertained - there is always something going on. I love how welcoming the home is to visitors and involve all family members in events. I would recommend Hinckley House for anyone making this difficult decision. I feel at ease knowing my auntie is in such a lovely place where the staff genuinely care.
I would just like to say I really appreciate how my mum is looked after and the peace of mind it gives me and my sisters knowing Mum is in a nice home, where always someone is there to help her when required, no matter what time of day or night.
Overall I feel that my wife is very happy with her treatment and her standard of care. She appears to be at ease. My real concern is the apparent vanishing of things, shoes, spectacles and clothes. Sometimes they reappear, but more often not. There must be a very big box somewhere with missing items.
Overall, I feel the home is a good home. Staff are very approachable and supportive of not only residents but family also, and are always welcoming. The home continues to offer a high standard of care. However, I feel that jugs of juice/water in residents' rooms would be beneficial, especially in the hot weather.
The home is clean and well-furnished. The carers are pleasant and professional, but at times, it seems there is not sufficient cover across all shifts. The activities are good. Mum seems content here.
