Visiting my mother here at Arcot House is such a reassuring experience. Staff take the trouble to really get to know my mother and to welcome me to be part of her ongoing care.
Staff are professional and caring; efficient yet compassionate; always punctual to treat people with humour and patience.

Very pleased with home

I regularly volunteer at Arcot house supporting there activities team with reading, puzzles and games. The staff are excellent with all the residents, the premises is always spotless and the food that the residents and myself have been served is exceptional.
The residents always appear happy and
very content.

My mother in law, Janno, has now been at Arcot House for over a year and has settled in really well. This is despite being unhappy in her previous 2 care homes, where she could not settle. The home is a beautiful, Grade 2 listed building and nicely decorated. Nothing is too much effort for the
staff. All are caring, friendly and polite. I would have no hesitation in recommending Arcot House to anyone.

Arcot House provided a homely, safe environment for my uncle for the past 7 years.
Although his needs have changed since his arrival, his level of care hasn't. I have always felt so grateful and happy knowing he is living in such a caring place with his needs taken care for in such a gentle way. I
felt so lucky to have my mother also residing in such a fabulous place.

As with most people, my wife and I had great reservations about finding residential care for my Mother-In-Law. However, my whole preconceptions of life in a care home have been changed by Arcot, where a genuine home from home environment has been created. The staff are kind and are caring, the daily
activities are fulfilling, and the kitchen provides fabulous home-cooked food. Thoroughly recommend life at Arcot and would be happy to move in myself.

I cannot recommend Arcot House highly enough. My 91 year old mother spent two amazing weeks there recovering from an injury. She left feeling very much better due to the professionalism and enthusiasm of the staff. Each and every one of them go above and beyond in every aspect of their work. They
are all so positive and their smiles say everything about how much they genuinely care. My mother and I wouldn't hesitate to use Arcot again should the need arise. Thank you so much.

She is a family friend who I visited when pregnant and then again after she knitted my baby girl a hat. The care home is beautifully presented, homely and welcoming. All the staff I encountered were warm and chatty, and had sourced knitting supplies and a pattern for her to make the hat which made
her very happy!

My Uncle was with Arcott House for over a year and he built up a great rapport with all the staff, we were all very happy at how he was welcomed and settled in. The staff, two in particular made sure he was well looked after and we never had any cause for concern or worry about how he was. We were
always made welcome and the staff were kind. His accommodation was everything that he needed and wanted. These events can always be a worrying time for all those involved, both residents and family members. This was never an issue. Every aspect that we encountered was excellent, we could not mark the activities though, as my Uncle chose not to be involved, so had no direct experience to grade!
Would we recommend it? - without a second thought.

Overall Arcot House has a lovely environment, the staff are polite - we have our favourites - the cleanliness isn't 100% and needs more deep cleans, the grounds/gardens are lovely as are the communal areas in the house. I love the entertainment provided to keep residents active and mobile.

Dad spent four weeks at Arcot for respite after a spell in hospital. He was looked after very well and enjoyed his stay. The staff were very professional, kind, friendly and respectful. We always felt welcome as a visitor and they kept us informed of Dad's progress. He really enjoyed his trips out
and the activities on offer, as well as the food. Dad is now hoping to spend a week there for respite in the future.

My uncle has been with Arcot House for two months, and I am most pleased. The staff are always welcoming, professional and smart. This is a testament to their manager, who I cannot fault. More importantly, my uncle likes it as well. He has been very happy and content, and we are extremely pleased
that he has decided to stay. I know he is looked after, and it is a great relief to me.

My mother appears to be very happy with her stay considering her age she has taken her respite care well. The only niggle she has expressed to me was the food on a weekend was not all that brilliant. She has praised all the staff for being friendly, helpful and happy to talk and help with Mum's
needs. Our impression from visiting family and friends has also been very good.

Management and staff at Arcot House provide excellent person-centred care for my Mother-in-Law. The family are always kept very well informed of every development and change in my Mother-in-Law's condition. It is a great comfort to all the family knowing that my Mother-in-Law is being cared for so
well. The family are very grateful to the manager and all his staff for all their efforts in trying to keep my Mother-in-Law as comfortable as possible. I would highly recommend Arcot House. It is an excellent home to choose for your loved ones.

I think the staff are wonderful. Helpful, friendly. I love the building, especially the stairwell. Like a film scene.
