my husband had a great respite stay the staff were wonderful. They managed to get my husband to our sons wedding, Emma came with him from the home and stayed with him for the few hours he was there. Which was great and the wedding was even better because he was there

The staff are kind and are caring, the daily activities are fulfilling, and the kitchen provides fabulous home-cooked food. Thoroughly recommend life at Arcot and would be happy to move in myself.

Overall Arcot House has a lovely environment, the staff are polite - we have our favourites - the cleanliness isn't 100% and needs more deep cleans, the grounds/gardens are lovely as are the communal areas in the house. I love the entertainment provided to keep residents active and mobile.

It is disappointing you feel the home is not as clean as you would have expected, this has not been raised with our very approachable management team. I have been in the care industry for 7.5 years, and at the beginning, I went into the care industry as I was looking for a job that would work around a young family, so I started working evenings for a domiciliary care company. I quickly realised how much I enjoyed it and that I wanted to make a career for myself in care, and that career adapted as my children grew up.
My favourite thing about working in care is the positive changes that you can make every day to those you support, building relationships with individuals and their families.
