The manager & management team were always approachable and totally professional. The entire care team were kind, caring and skilled in managing my aunt's difficult moments.
It truly felt like home away from home for my aunt from the very start. She felt welcomed and safe.
Her individual
needs, promoting independence while providing necessary support was paramount.
Regular, transparent communication between staff and family ensured that we were all involved in the decision making process.

Always receive a lovely welcome when I come to see my grandmother. My grandmother is always clean and tidy. The staff are wonderful, and nan's bedroom is always kept clean and tidy. Cannot fault nothing about the care that my grandmother receives.

What can I say about the Acorn Lodge?
I can't fault it
The staff are amazing people, they have so much love and care for my Dad, I know this because I see how happy my dad is, when he sees members of staff, he smiles with excitement.
Dad is always smiling and singing, he's always well dressed
and clean, his legs are always well managed.
I want to say a huge thank you to all staff members,,from management to the carers and kitchen staff.

I think it's a good place, quiet and clean. The staff is very polite and attentive. My grandmother in particular, seemed pretty well. That means she receives good care.

We visited Acorn Lodge for the family meeting. It was an enjoyable experience. We were very happy with how our Father is looked after. He is very happy at Acorn Lodge.

I visit my uncle once a week at random times. I usually phone the home to let them know I'm coming, sometimes it might only be 30 minutes notice, but my uncle is always well turned out and ready to go out. The staff treat my uncle with a lot of respect and dignity. They are very kind and patient
with him. They always make me welcome too. Thank you.
(This is all a new experience for me and the staff at Avon Lodge have made me feel confident that my uncle is in the right place).

Very content with the care my father receives in the home. I attend as often as I can with other family and friends. So pleased with the condition of the home, the activities and staff are amazing. Thanks to all members and keep up the good work.

I find this care home to very caring towards the residents. They do a lot of different things with them. I enjoy visiting my cousin, he is very happy being there.

Acorn Lodge has taken care of my mother's wellbeing since 2021. I am very happy with the care she is receiving. All the staff are very polite, nice and very capable of taking care of her.
I would recommend Acorn Lodge to others.

Acorn Lodge. Looks after and cares for my cousin, so well, The carers are so caring and always have the time to discuss anything that needs to be discussed whether it's health, or well being.
The home itself is kept clean at all times, maybe Just need to be a re-paint in the rooms, I do appreciate
this is difficult as residents are living in.
Over all I'm very happy with her care.

My husband is well cared for. He is happy and settled. Carers make him feel at home and comfortable. We as a family are very content with the care he gets. Thanks to the personnel working in this care home.

The staff at Acorn Lodge are all pleasant, respectful, polite and very caring. My grandfather is in good hands and our minds are at peace knowing he is being properly looked after. The home is clean and the food (according to my grandfather) is extremely good. Thank you to all at Acorn Lodge and God

Thank you to the kind staff who organised our mother's 90th birthday. We appreciate how nice and clean the visitor's room is now. Thank you for hosting us to have a lovely birthday tea party. Also for the great annual summer BBQ party. Thank you for looking after her so well.

Mum has been at Acorn Lodge for 4 years and is being well looked after. The staff are kind and look after Mum well.
When I visit the residential home Mum is always pleased to see me. The staff always tell me if Mum is unwell.
It would be nice if families could visit in the lounge instead of in the
bedrooms.

My mum has been at Acorn Lodge for around 4 months now and I couldn't be any more pleased with the care she has received. The staff are friendly and extremely patient/considerate of my mum's needs. She is always clean and well-presented, she is eating well and seems so much happier now. There are
lots of activities for the residents and regular on-site visits from dentists/hairdressers. The management is very responsive to any queries and it's clear they care for the residents. Thank you!

Arrived at Acorn Lodge on 12th January 2024 - the managerial staff warmly welcomed me (and my niece who accompanied me to see me safely settled in at Acorn Lodge) with sandwiches and cups of tea for both of us which was very appreciated. We were seated in two comfortable chairs to relax whilst we
had a chance to take in where we had come. I was shown my room which was delightful and very soon discovered Acorn Lodge had an excellent staff to keep our spirits satisfied. The carers have long days and nights to attend to the residents who need them but deal with this. A lovely service is offered and this too is appreciated.
