Location of Gate Lodge and surrounding areas excellent. Given time of year, front and rear gardens have the appearance of being well maintained. Security in and out of the building to be commended. On entering the home it was very welcoming and happy with adequate furnishings. Residents are enjoying
the provided games, entertainment, and especialy singeralongs to recorded music, that all promotes a good commune and well being, for both staff and residents. Bedrooms clean and tidy and very well fitted out. Food and drink well catered for.

My dad moved into Gate Lodge towards the end of October 2025 and has settled in wonderfully. He has really come out of his shell since being there. The home is clean, tidy and very welcoming. The staff are friendly, kind and genuinely caring. The food is excellent. He has his own room, which was
decorated before he moved in and he has been able to add his own personal touches. I truly believe he has struck gold with this beautiful care home. I cannot thank the staff enough.

The staff at Gate Lodge are extremely kind and caring not only to residents but to family members too, who are struggling emotionally; due to the loss of a love one, because of a dementia diagnosis. Staff always have a smile on their faces and their compassion for residents are second to none. I
feel privileged to have my family member stay at Gate Lodge and feel without a doubt in my heart that Gate Lodge is a place to call home for my mum.

My aunt passed away in November after a stay of four years. In all of her time in the home the staff treated her with great kindness and patience. After moving in she soon became extremely comfortable and content. Written and verbal communication from the staff was exceptional and as she approached
the end of her life they exhibited the most wonderful compassion.

Since my mum was diagnosed with Alzhiemers I've been her main carer & didn't realise how much this had affected me & mums life. When I had the interview at Gate Lodge I found that the home was truly comfortable which made me feel completely at ease. Seeing the staff caring for the residents so much
I felt this could be the place for my mum. Mum has been there 2 months & the home is exactly how I though it would be. The management system in place for the care is outstanding. The carers are unbelievable. It is so well run. I can see in my mum how happy she is. Absolutely 5 stars.

This home is a little piece of heaven on earth. The staff are all so genuinely kind, caring & supportive of the residents. It feels like family when you go to visit. They are responsive to feedback & concerns & take your part in your family members life very seriously. They have activities each day,
its a small personal highly well run home. My friend has settled in so well & loves it there. I would highly recommend this home. 5 star.

I cannot praise this care home enough. My dad has been made to feel so welcome at his new home. Staff are amazing, room is so nice & the manager is such an amazing person who has made sure we (family) are happy & supported. I could not see my dad living anywhere else but here. It is his home away
from home.

Can't praise the management and staff enough. The manager made the whole process of taking Dad into their care as painless as was possible. He is now settled and is happy. They have geared Dad's care to his own needs - not a 'one size fits all' approach. Gate Lodge is truly a care 'home' not a care
facility.

I am happy that Dad is being looked after by the casing and attentive staff at Gate Lodge. The home is safe and secure. When I visit he is happy and has put on weight since he moved last August. He is much healthier and I am confident he is getting the best possible care.

After reviewing several care homes for my mother I was recommended to Gate Lodge. From the outset their team was incredibly helpful and accommodating, making the transition smooth and stress-free. My mum was provided with a lovely comfortable room and throughout her time there she was well cared for
by the entire team. Their dedication and compassion truly stood out. The facilities were more than adequate, clean, functional and well-maintained. It gave me peace of mind knowing my mum was in such a caring and professional environment. Thank you to everyone at Gate Lodge for the kindness and excellent care you provided. They also gave her an excellent 90th birthday party.

Since Dad came to Gare Lodge the staff and management have been amazing at settling him in. When I visit he is happy and has also gained some weight. The home is spotlessly clean and the staff and management are so friendly and caring, always keeping me updated when the need arises. I would have no
hesitation in recommending Gate Lodge for your loved ones.

Gate Lodge has a very good atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. They are always kind and very patient with the residents, especially with my dad. My father has lived at Gate Lodge for over 18 months now, during this time I have always been confident he is being well looked after.
I can not express how important this is for my peace of mind. I am so grateful.

My mother was moved to Gate Lodge on a two-week temporary basis after she ended up in hospital after not eating for her home carers. The staff at Gate Lodge got her eating and drinking as she should be almost straight away, and since she moved in last November she has been much healthier and
happier. I could not be more pleased with the progress she has made under their care.

My wife has been in this home for about 2 years now and when we were looking round for a home, this one stood out from all aspects of care! My family and friends have all been impressed with the level of care here.
The council pay the fees but I make a substantial contribution to them.
They would
not use Gate Lodge if it was too expensive.

My mother joined Gate Lodge in May 2023.
I was looking for specialist care for dementia.
From the moment I met the management team, I knew this was the home-from-home my mum needed.
She settled quicker than expected, is well cared for and all the staff are warm, welcoming and joyful.
The small
setting is just perfect and they go the extra mile to celebrate calendar festivities.

We could not ask for a better place for my mum. She is being so well looked after, all of the staff are lovely people and you can tell they genuinely care about the residents. She is very happy here and we are happy knowing that she's in safe hands.

My mother has been in this home for a number of years now and the care is excellent. The staff move around the residents talking to them calmly and gently, encouraging them to join in with activities or keep moving! The residents themselves respond to the calm surroundings and when I visit many of
them welcome me too!
Again the staff provide lots of varied entertainment and activities inviting residents to join in. Then several times over the past couple of years families are invited too! We have had some fun times and staff all seem to work together. They seem to remain in their jobs which is a good sign... it's lovely to get to know everyone, the home is very family-orientated.
Residents have their own room, my mother an ensuite and nice furniture and they make it homely and comfortable.
I can't speak more highly of this care home, I know my mother is taken very good care of and is loved!

My father has been a Gate Lodge resident since April 2022 but he is now the second close relative of mine that has been a resident of this home. My father-in-law sadly passed away three years ago but I always recall how happy, safe and content he was here.
My father was initially quite anxious,
along with myself, as to how he will find moving to Gate Lodge after living for so long on his own. It was a challenging move but we all agree now it was the best decision we made. He is now eating and washing regularly and starting to put on the weight that he had slowly been losing over the years. He is a difficult man to please but he is very happy and content where he is now. I am always kept informed of his well-being and it's just very reassuring to know he is in safe hands. Thank you, Gate Lodge.

My mum has been at Gate Lodge for quite a few years now and is so happy and content. The staff know her well and care for her needs on a personal basis. The home is like a home from home, my mum loves the staff and is always smiling when I visit. I'm so glad I chose this home for my mum as opposed
to one of the large homes. The monthly email updating us on the activities is a pleasure to receive and the Zoom Christmas Concert was fantastic. Gate Lodge has managed Covid-19 very well and has gone the extra mile to keep the care home Covid free.
