Care and support for residents is second to none. I understand that with the amount of resident's things get misplaced/lost but expensive items such as glasses, and more personally teeth, need to be looked after more, as they are expensive to replace. Clothing needs to be put in the correct
resident's rooms. This has improved but still occurs. An area where family can sit with residence would be appreciated. The addition of the Activities Coordinator is a major plus. The residents need to be stimulated as much as possible.

Great so see a new Activity Lead in the home, hopefully see a more engaged resident lounge as a result. Ideally would like to see more of management team - giving correct laundry back has improved but still room for more improvement. Would be great if a visitor space was made available rather than
bedroom or public areas - since quiet room made into manager office, have either stood in lounge or sat on floor (staff were using conservatory for their break (would have mentioned this in meet with manager but have not managed to make a session)

From the moment I stepped into Michaelstowe I knew this was the place for me. It has the home from home feeling and I have felt I have joined a happy family. The management and staff who showed me round were very friendly and reassuring at a very stressful time for me. The facilities and rooms are
clean and bright and the whole place is well decorated with a lovely conservatory and front garden. The food was excellent with good choice options and special arrangements to celebrate birthday which have been memorable. Regular activities entertainment are also available.

I am very happy that the care my mom gets & the support & contact I receive. The staff do all they can to allow my mom to keep her dignity and individuality. She can be a handful sometimes. They go above & beyond to make her feel happy & at home.

I feel it's not a building that makes a home but the staff and they have always been very friendly and approachable. I have been to a few homes in our area in the last couple of months visiting relatives and Michaelstowe definitely came top. The manager and staff have always looked and are very
busy, they all are very professional and kind to our family, they are happy to resolve any problems.

My stepfather has been at Michaelstowe for two weeks now. There is a "relatives gateway" where family members can add photos and messages and also see a daily care review every day. This saves any phone calls to check up on your loved ones! The staff are caring and professional, whether dealing with
family or residents. Highly recommended care home!

Could not choose a better place for my mother. Residents and families are treated with kindness. Respect given and privacy when needed.

My mum has been at Michaelstowe for several weeks now. She has gone from being in her house alone and only seeing family and friends rarely to being in a friendly home where she has all she needs.
She has plenty of people to interact with and the staff are friendly and welcoming when I come to
visit my mum. It's great that me and my brother can come there and take our Mum out on trips whenever we want.

My nan loved living at Michaelstowe and had a wonderful relationship with the care staff. The food choices are amazing and the meals delicious. The staff treated my nan and us as a family and were a huge support to us through Nan's final days.

The care my mother-in-law received was excellent.
Staff were always very helpful and caring to Mum and us as a family.
In Mum's final days, there was nothing too much trouble for Mum or us as we sat with her for about 4 days.
We are very grateful to them for the love and care Mum received.

My mum was so happy there, and everyone was so lovely to Mum. I was made welcome and had cups of tea with my mum. The food was lovely, and if I was there, Mum could eat in the sitting room with me. I was so happy with this home.

My mum has been in other homes and hated them. Michaelstowe was amazing, and my mum was very happy there. She loved chatting with all the carers and residents. The manager is excellent, and while on leave, she sorted out a carer and transport to take my mum to my niece's wedding. The care is first
class. I can't fault anything. The food is fresh and nourishing. Thank you, Michaelstowe.

All the staff were absolutely amazing in caring for my dad who was with them for the last few weeks of his life. I cannot thank them enough for their time, respect and support, and for ensuring that at the end of his life, he was surrounded by care and comfort.

Mum's quality of life has improved greatly since she moved into Michaelstowe. She has a lovely room, enjoys good food and really loved being in the company of others. The staff are kind, caring and professional. All her medical needs ate monitored from administering medication to routine check-ups.
It's wonderful to see her so happy and settled.

We visited Mum twice in September of 2022. The staff were considerate, happy and kind towards Mum. She genuinely liked the people looking after her (thank you!).
She looked good and happy. Her care for diabetes and dementia was excellent. Mum liked the food and the garden/conservatory area. She
enjoys time chatting with her friends and the music afterwards.

What a wonderful place. The support for families and residents in care is amazing. The staff led by the manager have the ability to change people's lives.

This is a wonderful, caring home, with friendly and helpful staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Security is good and the residents are well looked. Meals are always good, with plenty of drink and water available. My aunt is happy and the family is very relieved that she is safe and in good hands.

After visiting other care providers, I felt that Michaelstowe offered the best facility for my mother. Staff have been and are very friendly, helpful and good with residents. My mother settled in well and is very happy with her care and staff. Although the rooms aren't huge they do have what she
needs and are very clean and she has a lovely view from her window. The staff work very hard in sometimes challenging circumstances, but are always friendly and have a happy nature. They are very caring and on call as soon as needed.

Very pleasant, warm and friendly staff with excellent food. Everything very obviously homemade with excellent variety.
Unfortunately the patient was very deaf and therefore chose not to eat in the canteen or go in the lounge with the consequences of becoming bored and become quite isolated in his
room, however the kitchen was opposite his room and the staff would communicate.
