The care recieved by all staff has been wonderful. My Mother in Law has been made to feel comfortable, safe and well looked after. As family we are updated regularly and always made to feel welcome when we visit. Our worries about placing my Mother in Law were lifted when we first met the managers
who were extremely kind and understanding. Thankyou!

Putting my auntie in a care home was a very difficult decision for our family but it was one we could no longer avoid.
We found the care home ourselves, as we were not happy with the ones the council had found for my auntie.
Upon reviewing the care home we were greeted with kindness and positivity.
We were initially apprehensive about my auntie fitting in and comfortably communicating her needs with the team as she did not speak any English (Kurdish is her first language) and has learning difficulties. However the team were so kind and helped her adjust to her new surroundings easily.
We feel very lucky to have placed our auntie in such a caring and compassionate home. Whenever she has any needs be it simple/complex or health related the team have always been brilliant at communicating with us. We can visit her whenever we want and can see she is very happy here.

Mum has been a resident of St Theresa's for just over a year now. On admission she had recently had a serious stomach operation, her dementia was rapidly getting worse and she was increasingly frail.
From the first interview with the friendly, professional owners we knew this well furnished and
welcoming home would suit Mum. It is small and more like a family house, the owners and staff are all long standing. The nutrition is excellent, there is a large variety of meals and Mum's dietary requirements are well catered for. Mum's room is pretty and always spotless. The Covid pod and garden are good for visitors. Staff are friendly and caring. Communication is excellent and the managers always let us know immediately if there is a problem or any change in Mum's needs.
The home has different areas and activities and Mum is nicely dressed whenever we see her, seems content, has put on weight and is consequently less frail. I highly recommend St Theresa's.

My elderly relative had been a resident of St Theresa's Rest Home for nearly 15 years by the time of his death. When he first became a resident he was becoming quite confused; the sad story of dementia. The staff at St Theresa's were excellent and really knew him and cared for him as a valued
resident. They were always professional, friendly, caring and interested in him, gradually adjusting the excellent care, but never diminishing it, as his dementia increased. His care plan was thorough and regularly reviewed, with regular visits from health care professionals. Consequently, his physical health always remained very good. The Rest Home was excellent at keeping in touch and informing me of any changes to his condition or care needs. I was especially grateful for,and impressed by, their compassionate and supportive manner in his last few months.
The Rest Home is homely and warm with comfortable rooms, a lovely garden and garden room, and I always felt welcomed when I visited.

Mum spent her final year at St Theresa's where she was cared for wonderfully by the manager and the lovely team. All the staff are attentive and truly caring, making sure to get to know the personalities and individual needs of the residents, and interacting with a bright and positive energy to
bring a smile to Mum's face. Nutrition is prioritized and food is all home cooked with healthy, healing ingredients in mind. Mum was always clean and fresh whenever I visited her and her bedroom was cosy and homely. Communication was excellent, the manager or one staff member in particular were always in touch promptly if they felt a doctor was required or any changes needed to be discussed - they were both always so friendly, and took the time to sit and chat with me too and talk about Mum on my visits which I really appreciated! I'd highly recommend St Theresa's for it's calm and peaceful environment and it's home-from-home feel.

My mother resided at st Theresa's for 3 years. Mum had dementia and other medical complications , the excellent care she received at the home was second to none. St Theresa's is run in a homely caring manner with regular staff which is of vital importance when your loved ones are struggling with
dementia and memories. Mum had a close relationship with all of the staff, who are patient and caring. I found the practical aspects of managing mums stay very smooth and professional, with good advice from management. Also the outside professionals who helped maintain mums health and well being , have continuous excellent working relationships with st Theresa's. Mum passed away recently and I will forever be grateful for the love care and support both mum and our extended family received from the home. The home is very clean comfortable and welcoming and housekeeping and cooking of a very high standard. Mum had difficulty eating towards the end and staff were flexible and accommodating .

My mother is starting her fourth year at St.Theresa's Rest Home and she has been very happy there. The staff are friendly and helpful, the managers are very hands on ready to help in anyway. If I have any concerns about my mum they are happy to answer any questions. Her room is always clean and tidy
and mum always looks well cared for. My mum can be difficult at times and the staff are very understanding and patient with her. Whenever mum is unwell they ring me and let me now how she is and that they are going to ring the doctor. I would recommend the home to anyone who was looking for a place for a family member to be looked after.

My mother has been a resident at St Theresa's for nearly seventeen years. She has just celebrated her 103rd birthday. In all this time her care has been excellent. She has been treated with kindness and patience by everyone involved in the running of the home. Mum always looks clean and well cared
for. There is a lovely homely atmosphere. Many activities are arranged by the staff and outside professionals to stimulate the residents both physically and mentally. The food is home-cooked and efforts are made to cater for personal preferences.
All the staff are approachable and willing to discuss any concerns. Very quick to seek medical help when necessary.
When my mother was told by the hospital that she should go into residential care I was given no help in finding a suitable home.
I am so glad that St Theresa's had a vacancy at that time. I can't fault their care.

Mum went to St Theresa's in February 2022 and was there for two years. I looked at a lot of homes before deciding on St Theresa's but my mind was made up after my first visit. The owners sat with me answering my questions in a full and honest manner and it was evident they were committed to running
a home I wanted Mum to be in. My first impression and lasting one is that St Theresa's is definitely a home-from-home. It is cosy and homely and always felt like I was visiting a real home, not a care home. The staff were always kind and considerate and although Mum could be difficult at times they treated her with respect and ensured she maintained her dignity. Mum was always clean and respectable when I visited and her personal care was impeccable. The owner always had time for me when I needed to discuss something and I can honestly say that she helped me through some difficult times as well as Mum. If you are looking for a home for someone you love, look no further than St Theresa's.

My mother-in-law was admitted in February 2021. She had requested to go into residential care, and St Theresa's seemed the perfect fit.
We were very pleased with how she settled in, making some friendships with other residents and the staff were most caring and attentive to her various physical,
mental and social needs.
Lockdown rules were very strictly enforced, but we were able to speak to her on the phone and see her in the conservatory from the garden. While this made her settling in a little more difficult, we were very reassured by the desire to keep residents and staff safe. Later we were able to visit in a side room, while still observing lockdown rules.
The home invested in a lovely garden room, where we could see her once Covid restrictions eased. This made for privacy and a nice view of the garden. The home offered various activities, which sometimes participated in, though less toward the end.
We are very satisfied with St Theresa's level of care.

St Theresa's is such a lovely home from home. I was worried about entering my mother as she has always taken care of herself and is a very independent woman. However, the manageress made the transition so easy, with brilliant help to me in this case. It took her a while but she settled, she was a
bit stubborn at first, but the staff have been wonderful and she now regards it as home. The home is lovely, the rooms are airy and bright and the garden is beautiful. One lady is a treasure and the manageress right-hand woman. If there are any health problems, they sort things out promptly. The food is all cooked fresh every day, and though my mother is stubborn with her eating, they ensure she he's the nutrition she needs. The staff are so kind and patient with her, Mum likes a laugh, and the staff enjoy her wit. We love going to visit there, as it's a smaller home it's so nice getting to know the staff. We are so happy she's settled into a lovely home for her twilight years.

After much agonising and research, my mother went to live in St Theresa's in the spring of 2022. We had no need to worry. Her care was professional and caring and the atmosphere homely but professional. The staff were all friendly and caring and responsive to everyone's needs. Communication between
the home and the family was always effective. Towards the end of her life, my mother was comfortable and contented. My sister and I have no regrets that we chose St Theresa's.
22 January 2024
My aunt and her friend both stayed here for 3 and 6 years respectively, and I think they had really first-class care at this home. The atmosphere was always homely, and the gardens were beautiful and well-kept. They made extra effort with their new Covid Pod in the latter days of Covid to ensure
people got to see their loved ones in those hard times. They were very cautious on the whole and had no casualties from Covid. Most importantly all the staff showed consistent compassion and kindness to the residents, and they always seemed happy and at home there. We were always kept well informed of their health and needs and they displayed great professionalism. We can highly recommend this place to others. Thank you!

My aunt resided in St Theresa's Rest Home for the last three months of her life, and I wish we had found it sooner - she had advanced dementia. The management and staff were truly amazing. Before my aunt went into the care home, she was not walking or eating properly, and they promised to do their
best to get her mobile and eat again with the care and help from staff, they achieved this. On many of our visits, we found the staff informative and caring and also updated us on her progress. She settled in quickly and enjoyed her surroundings, which were very homely. Just wished she had long here.

Very friendly home, with experienced and caring staff. Very clean and no unpleasant smells. Food home cooked, which is very appetising. Always consulted on resident's care and medical help, contacted when necessary. They have activities to stimulate their residents, as well as television and music.

My dad has been living at St Theresa’s for a year this week. It is the perfect home from home for him with its cosy surroundings and beautiful garden. He enjoys his meals, which are varied and cooked fresh on the premises. He often tells me how well-looked after he is and how friendly all the staff
are. From my point of view, the management and staff make this rest home the best place for my dad with their dedication and caring attitude helping him to settle in, be restored to health and make new friends. I know that there is always someone available to talk to if I need some advice. I would have no hesitation recommending St Theresa's to anyone looking for the perfect place for their loved one who is unable to live on their own anymore.

My mother is a resident of St Theresa's Rest Home. She was previously with a larger cooperate care home which did not suit her needs. Mum is much happier at St Theresa's, and as Mum is suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's, it was important to ensure Mum was living in a calm, peaceful environment,
which this home definitely provides. Being smaller and run with a permanent staff base and not lots of different agency workers, this gives Mum the familiarity of carers and helps make her feel safe. The staff are all very caring and attentive. The home is well-run and friendly. We can call any time to discuss Mum's welfare and have had no difficulty securing appointments to visit regularly. Mum enjoys the food and is well-fed. Mum is diabetic, and therefore, requires daily insulin and checks, which are provided by the district nurse, and the GP is also very accessible for any additional medical concerns. Mum is also appropriately dressed and clean. We are very happy with Mum's placement.
24 October 2022
My mum was a resident for nearly two years. When Mum went to St Theresa's, she was discharged from the hospital and was very poorly with dementia and frail, but the manager and her staff were amazing. My mum looks fabulous and well, had gained some weight all from the efforts and dedication they
gave Mum, also myself, my sister and brother were very much assured of how my mum was going to be looked after because we had struggled to accept that Mum needed professional care, and they also supported us as well. When we visited, Mum was always clean and well fed, and we were always updated if needed and also any questions needed answering. They were amazing. St Theresa's looked after Mum brilliantly, and myself and my siblings have said that we were so lucky to have found St Theresa's. Please do not hesitate to give them and call and go there for yourself - you won't be disappointed.

My mother has been a resident at St Theresa's for nearly fifteen years, and she is now approaching her 101st birthday. She was admitted to the home straight from the hospital, and I can't fault the care that she has been receiving. The environment is homely and welcoming, and the managers and staff

22 August 2022
The care and support provided for my elderly relative have been wonderful. He has been living at the home for over 10 years, during which time his mental capacity has declined, but he has remained very well physically. This is largely due to the care and attention he receives from the carers, who
know him and his needs very well and looks after him with compassion and care. During the worst times of the Covid pandemic and lockdown, when rigorous safety measures were successfully introduced to protect the residents, the manager of the home ensured that I was kept in touch regularly with how my relative was doing as I was not able to visit as often as I had done. His care plan is updated every month, and all medical and welfare matters are dealt with very efficiently. The care home is very comfortable and has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere in which my relative feels safe in a secure environment. He is happy and calm, largely due to the positive, warm and caring approach of the whole team.
