Barchester Cheverton Lodge is bright and cheery thanks to friendly and caring staff. Residents are made to feel welcome and safe. Communication especially by phone is sometimes cumbersome and the activities are not always tailored to all but overall my father had a good time at the lodge.

Lazyest carers I've encountered, unable to automatically do basic care needs and tasks. No cleanliness or hygiene has EVER been carried out in my fathers batheroom or bedroom. I always have to request for bedsheets to get changed, then I'm met with attitude by staff. Overall poor. Staff/carers do nothing
aside from sit on their phones and get annoyed if you request something.

Cheverton Lodge has provided the highest levels of care and comfort to our elderly Mother. The staff are professional and are quick to advise on any issues. My mother tells us the food is always good, and she enjoys the group events and other social activities. Cheverton Lodge operates successfully
due to the home's managers' professionalism and skill.

Beautifully situated in a peaceful, sunny enclave, looking out over greenery & the countryside.
Immaculately clean with great communal spaces & activities. Great food choices & menus to suit.
Lovely, happy staff who are incredibly conscientious, kind, who we know by name + who feel like friends. (Under
the watchful eyes of the manager who leads by being present).
Love that the family & dog can drop in & out to suit our erratic timetables & are always welcome.
Cannot recommend enough as they go the extra distance.

My sister came to this nursing home over a month ago from the moment we came in the reception was so warm and welcoming. From the manager to every member of staff they were so warm and welcoming that one feels at home straight away.

My sister came her after being in hospital, we viewed Cheverton Lodge on her behalf and straight away were very impressed by how clean + modern the place is. The manager gave us a tour and answered all of our questions. (we had a lot :) ) We have found all of the staff to be very helpful and caring.

My mum has spent her last year at Cheverton Lodge and was treated with such loving care from some wonderful people, I really cannot thank everyone more. The new manager is doing a great job and has a fantastic team behind him. It's a beautiful building which looks more like a hotel than a nursing home
and is bright and cheerful and always kept spotlessly clean. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place for their loved one.

My mother came to this home two years ago and it has been an absolute "godsend" with a great deal of compassion shown to my mother. All the carers and nurses are very professional and gentle and caring for Mummy. Food and drinks are at a very high level and the chef gets it correct every single day
for everyone for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Mum came here on the 11th October 2024. We were welcomed at the entrance by the manager and staff, we felt very welcomed.
Since Mum has been here, we have seen a really big difference in her. We can see the weight gain and the happiness in her. We are so very grateful to the manager and all the staff.

room is clean and cosey. The food is amazing and the activities are fab.

I joined Cheverton Lodge in 2024 as an Activity Coordinator. I completed a Health and Social Care level 2 and performing arts at college. I have worked as an activity coordinator in a care home setting for over 5 years. I love my role, and the passion and drive it gives me to ensure everyone receives a fun and fulfilled lifestyle, which is person-centred to them.


I love being creative, I sing in my spare time alongside playing the electric guitar, and piano and also writing my own music. I look forward to my journey here at Cheverton Lodge, and bringing lots of fun!

Tahmina joined to Cheverton Lodge in 2022 as health care assistant and has continued to develop her knowledge and became the dementia champion in 2023 . Tahmina has a special interest in supporting those living with dementia and ways on continually improving the care and experience of people living with dementia at Cheverton Lodge. Tahmina completed Tier 2 dementia training and attends the dementia champion training sessions on a regular basis.
