The manager and his team are very caring and considerate.
My mother has a lot of medical issues and is a complex case. Having a qualified nurse on the floor was a key criteria when we chose the Cheverton Lodge. They did not disappoint.
Everyone was very professional and went over and above to ensure
mums stay was safe. Family is very important and they went out of their way to ensure family visits could take place in a safe environment for all, especially during Covid. This kept mums spirits up and kept her mentally strong. The process for booking visits was also very good.
Special mention goes to the manager and his team. But everyone was so lovely and caring. Thank you so much for all you did during her visit.
We would definitely highly recommend the Cheverton Lodge for anyone considering getting help with the care of a loved one.

My mother-in-law was very well looked after in this care home. The care was second to none. All staff were caring and compassionate and delivered a very high standard of care. The home is well maintained and kept very clean. The food is nutritious and varied. My mother-in-law has very complex health
needs and we will always be grateful for the exceptional care she received at Cheverton Lodge. Special thanks to the Manager for managing the place so efficiently especially during Covid.

This is a perfect home for all types of illnesses. They have good staff, very friendly and understanding. They encourage their residents to be involved in all types of activities eg. singing, games and talking etc.
They dress them well. Anyway, I am very happy to recommend it to people.

I have only visited this care home a couple of times but I was very happy for my son to be here. Overall it provides good care and the service to the clients is very good. Also, my son said the food was very good and diverse.

My son was admitted last year with progressive multiple sclerosis. The manager could not have been more welcoming and understanding. The staff are caring and thoughtful and always helpful. When my son was suddenly very ill, everyone was exceptionally supportive.
Now that visiting and activities have
resumed I am confident that he will feel less isolated.

On the occasion of my aunt's 90th birthday, I checked with the Cheverton Lodge that what I was sending could be received in Covid-19 times. I was assured that it would be and that the home would take care of a cake for my aunt. I also asked if I could connect via skype to take part in the celebrations.
Again, this was made very easy with contact details and a time sent through.
On my aunt's birthday, the skype call was answered promptly and the tablet was taken to my aunt's room so I and my mother (aunt's sister) could see her and chat with her. Carer's then brought in a cake complete with candles and we heard the lovely way the carers were talking to my aunt and celebrating with 'the birthday girl'. Whilst we couldn't be there we hope it broke up my aunt's day a bit and we felt both reassured of her care and grateful to have been able to take part in the celebration.

An outstanding feature which I was pleased to observe was that the staff at Cheverton Lodge treated the residents, regardless of their condition, their physical or mental capacity, with dignity and respect. In addition, I felt that I and my sister-in-law's other relatives were made to feel welcome,
and most of the time we were consulted in relation to any issues or any proposed changes to her care. The premises are welcoming, well maintained and clean. My few samples of the food suggest that residents could enjoy well-cooked meals and delicious cakes. We were particularly pleased when very soon after it became too cold for outdoor visits, Cheverton created perfect indoor visiting arrangements that met the full lockdown safe-distance requirements, enabling both the resident and the visitor to be comfortable and able to communicate easily and without the need for face masks. Our last visits were among our very best.

Tahmina joined to Cheverton Lodge in 2022 as health care assistant and has continued to develop her knowledge and became the dementia champion in 2023 . Tahmina has a special interest in supporting those living with dementia and ways on continually improving the care and experience of people living with dementia at Cheverton Lodge. Tahmina completed Tier 2 dementia training and attends the dementia champion training sessions on a regular basis.
