I haven't been in many homes before but I can only praise the staff for their care for our aunt. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly. Their care for my aunt is exceptional, and are meeting her medical needs well. The home is always clean, the food always looks good, the activities are very good, encouraging the residents to take part. An amazing home all in all.

My Aunt has been a resident at the Lodore Nursing home since June 2026. We visit once per week as we reside a considerable distance away. On all of our visits we are always warmly greeted and offered a cup of tea, a nice gesture! - We are updated on my Aunt's progress and what she has been doing; we generally visit her in the Main lounge and I am always very impressed with the activities that take place. All staff are very caring and attentive to everyone's needs. The food is always plentiful and well prepared. We then go to my Aunt's room, This is always clean and fresh. Bedding is always clean. In summary, Well done to Everyone and keep up the Good work! Thank you.

I am extremely grateful for the wonderful care and support. My Mother has received over the past 4 years. During this time she has been always treated with kindness, dignity patience and respect. I am reassured knowing that she has been in caring and capable hands. I would highly recommend their care to anyone looking for a care home.

Dad seems happy and likes the food. Prefers being there to being in the hospital.

I visited my brother today. He was calm and relaxed and in good spirits. We had a nice chat and a few laughs. He really likes the staff here, they are friendly, warm and caring it is reassuring for all the family to know he is being so well cared for.

My husband is currently a resident at Orchard House, and I have been very pleased with the care he receives. The staff are kind, compassionate and treat my husband with dignity and respect. They are always attentive to his needs and keep me informed, which gives me peace of mind. The home is clean, welcoming and has a warm atmosphere It is reassuring to know that my husband is being so well looked after by a dedicated team. I am grateful to all the staff and the manager who always listens.

I have been at Orchard House for 9 months, in that time my needs and care has been excellent from weight loss to gaining weight, to ensure my pressure sore was dealt with and monitored on a daily basis the staff (carers) go above and beyond their duties the management (Georgiana, deputy manager) her door is always open to discuss if you have a problem or concern

The moment I entered the reception, I knew this was the right place for my mother in law. Staff are amazing and really go out of their way to care for residents. I cannot recommend Lodore enough.

An excellent home - everything we want a home to be for our family member to be looked after well at this stage of their life. Staff are superb and we couldn't recommend enough, they all go over and above.

Our dad has been so well taken care of, it's been a big relief for us all to know he's in good hands. When we come to visit, he's always in good condition, clean, the staff are well informed about his state, are happy to answer any questions, accommodate any requests and always in a friendly, compassionate manner.

My father has been a few care homes now as we have moved around, and this is by far the cleanest, best run and full of the kindest nurses and carers. I am so happy we found Valerie Manor, Dad has settled in so well and is really thriving there. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a care home for a loved one or for themselves.

Orchard House have provided excellent care for my father, you can tell the team truly care about the resident's wellbeing and comfort. Georgiana and Manu in particular have been great at providing support for my father, and us as a family.

Always clean, food is good and overall the home l think is the best

I am always made to feel welcome when I visit and am given privacy with my family member, and tea and biscuits are provided. The home is spotlessly clean, and all staff are friendly and helpful. It feels like a normal house rather than a hospital environment and is nicely furnished and decorated. My family member is well cared for and always looks well groomed and is wearing clean clothes. My family and I are so pleased to have found St Jude's. Their care is excellent, and the manager runs it very well.
