Very pleased with mums Care, the home is very nice, excellent & friendly staff, they always go above & beyond to care for Mum. There is always activities going on, the food is really good. The home is always clean, I am very happy with the staff, they are always happy to see us on any visits, very highly recommended.

Always offered a Drink whenever we visit too. Very clean home and the garden is beautiful

The care home situated on the east side of Southend is easy to find with adequate parking. The reception staff are very approachable and are always aware of the residents' conditions and location within the residence.The staff are very friendly and consisderate and put on activites most weeks.Today there is a BBQ. Mum seems to be quite happy and knows she is being well looked after.

My review about Whittingham House is nothing but excellent all the way round.

The staff and management team are really really amazing. They all know everyone's name from family to residents and who your related to. They all look after my mum with upmost care and respect, even though she may not interact very much but she happy. I do feel mums room could do with a paint job as a bit tired but generally all good.

When my mum was at the end of life, the staff were amazing. They were supportive of us during this most difficult of times and helped us to be with my mum to the end. We will miss Milton House but know that my mum ended her days surrounded by love.

I have been here for respite care since mid December 2025. The staff, nurses & carers are kind & considerate at all times. All are hard working. Well done.

Since my dad's been here he's been very happy and stable. There's lots of activities going on and he participates in all of them. When he was at home he just sat in front of the TV. The staff are wonderful, they take care and genuinely enjoy doing so. The home is spotless and food is 10/10. I'm so happy he's here.

Had such a lovely time today with my mum and all the residents and staff at a valentines get together and entertainment and food. I can't express enough how amazing all the staff are and the managers, Paris is such a wonderful kind and funny lady and does so much for the entertainment side of things at the home, everyone is just so happy

I like doing karaoke and bingo and parties. I like the food.

Since arriving at Whittingham House, this establishment has exeeded all my expectations and am totally satisfied and contented with the services provided. All staff are dedicated and committed across the wife range of nationalities employed here, sometimes dealing with, at times, rather challenging situations.

My mum has been a resident of Milton House for nearly 3 and a half years. In that time she has been looked after with such care and dignity. All the staff became her second family and Milton House became home to my mum. Yes she had favourite members of staff but she always had a smile for everyone. In her final days she was cared for with dignity and love and as her daughter I couldnt of asked for anything more. My thanks to you all

The best thing I have done was to put my aunt at Milton House. I have never had any issues or worries about my aunt being at Milton. The carers are excellent and the new manager is fantastic. I am so pleased that she is well looked after to which I am so grateful.

Mother-in-law returned for 2 weeks of respite care as before; she was greeted warmly and welcomed back by all the staff. She looked well on our visit to collect her and return her home. Cannot fault the care provided. Thank you.

I cannot praise enough the stuff and the care that the home gave our dear Mum in the last year of her life. They really looked after her and we had absolutely no worries about her being there. She could be challenging at times but nothing was too much for all the staff. Every single one of them are fantastic,Management,Carers,activities team even down to the cleaners and cook all them are friendly helpful and caring. Just what you need to put your mind at ease. Even after Mum passed we are still in contact. A wonderful team and perfect home.

My wife has been at Whittingham House for over eighteen months. The management and staff are always helpful. To me it seems there is a very good cleanliness regime. I visit my wife regularly and I have always been reassured that she is being well card for.

Generally very good and homely. Sometimes there seems to be a lack of staff upstairs.

All in all a very good care home.

My partner is happy here which gives me peace of mind and always dressed okay.The staff are lovely always asked if I want a drink when I arrive.

I found the home very friendly and caring. My mum is treated very well and is happy. She enjoys the activities and seems content in her surroundings. Very caring staff, above and beyond with care when I have been visiting. Very kind on the telephone too when you call to see how mum is doing.
